A crush

As the Yacht reached its next stop at around noon, the bridal party embarked onto the luxury Yacht. Claire and Adam received them with all the fan fare. The employees on the yacht wearing their blue and white uniforms stood on either side, welcoming the bride and her guests. Sierra stood separately, trying to stay invisible. This is a family affair, and as an outsider, it's better to be out of their way.

Sierra couldn't help but notice that Xavier woods is nowhere to be found. It's his bride who is joining them on his yacht. As a host, he should have been here to welcome her. But he didn't bother to show up. And by the looks on the bride's face, she doesn't seem to mind that at all. She is all smiles while talking with Claire and Adam. There is a man who resemble her alot, and Sierra decided that he must be a relative.

Apart from them, a group of five women and three men were accompanying them in their expensive clothes and accessories. For the second time that day, Sierra thought that she is looking out of place on the Yacht among themselves rich people.

"I am so happy that you came Nancy, we could have so much fun" Claire said, showing that rapport with her future aunt is good.

Nancy is tall with model-like looks and slim body. Her body con dress is showcasing her perfect figure. Her wavy blonde hair is styled to perfection. While Sierra is looking young and naturally beautiful in an innocent way, Nancy looked more mature and put together. Sierra's sun dress is showcasing her fit and toned body with curves at the right place and her long toned legs on display. Nancy looked slim without any curves, but still beautiful in her own way.

Sierra felt a pang of guilt when she remembered that she slept with the groom.

"Sierra, come on over" to Sierra's horror, Claire called her over to where she was chatting with the bride to be.

Sierra's face turned pale. She couldn't hide her discomfort. She didn't feel this bad when she didn't know who the bride was. But now, seeing her face to face is making her feel like something is gnawking at her insides. But still, she made her way towards the group.

"She is my best friend Sierra" Claire made the introductions and wrapped her arm around Sierra's shoulder in a gesture to calm her nerves.

Nancy extended her palm and offered a hand shake to Sierra.

"Hello Sierra, Claire always speaks about you. It's a pleasure to finally meet you" Nancy spoke, showing that she is a nice person and not a bitch.

Sierra shook hands with Nancy. Her guilt intensified to know that Nancy is a sweet woman and not an entitled bitch.

"Pleasure is all mine Ms. Nancy" Sierra replied politely. Her voice came out soft and sweet.

Before Sierra could withdraw her hand away from Nancy, her hand was clasped by a male hand, which is bigger and warmner than Nancy's hand.

"Hello, I am Douglas, Nancy is my elder sister. You are so beautiful Sierra. Mind joining me for a coffee later?" Douglas is openly flirting with Sierra, who looked surprised and flustered.

She turned to look at Claire for help, but Nancy tried to help instead.

"Doug, don't scare the poor girl. She looks like a good girl. Don't mess with her" Nancy reprimanded her brother, who is a playboy, but completely harmless.

"Nancy, no problem. Sierra is single and she said she will bored for two weeks. It's a good thing that Doug is intrested to help her. Right Sierra?" Claire asked, expecting and wishing that Sierra would refuse.

Since her mother's death, Sierra is hiding her discomfort and is doing everything Claire is expecting her to do. But instead of making Claire happy, it's making her sad. Claire can see that Sierra is bottling up her emotions and she is not being herself. So she is pushing Sierra to open up and say 'No'. But to her disappointment, Sierra nodded her head, agreeing with the arrangement, even though Claire can see that she doesn't want to.

Douglas is not harmful. He is a flirt, but still sensible. So for now Claire is not worried that Douglas would take advantage of Sierra.

"Great, then why don't you show me around the Yacht now?" with that said, Douglas pulled Sierra away from the group and along with him.

Douglas has seen Sierra before when he went to drop Claire near her college. He liked her then, but he never got a chance to talk to her, untill now. So he is taking full advantage of this opportunity and is planning to woo Sierra and make her his girlfriend by the end of these two weeks.

Claire and Nancy were watching Douglas and Sierra walking away. Anyone can see that Sierra is not interested.

"You are right. She needs help. Looks like She doesn't want to disappoint you. She is feeling vulnerable and lonely. Now, You are the only person whom she can call a friend or someone who is close to her. So she is trying not to lose you too. Her mother's death hit her harder than she is letting out. She needs to find an outlet to focus her pain on. She has to open up" Nancy suggested Claire.

Nancy is a psychologist. When Claire noticed Sierra's change of behaviour, she brushed it off as it might be a one time deal. But when if kept repeating, she started to get worried. So she shared it with Nancy, who is a good person and a family friend.

"What should we do now?" Claire asked worriedly.

Nancy sighed. This case is not as simple as it looks.

"She is taking her time. It's not wise to intervene now. When she started to feel suffocated by doing things which she doesn't want to, then she would burst out. Combined with the grief of losing her mother and her past scars from losing her father and brother, it will be bad. If she doesn't open up in these two weeks, I will interfere. Until then, let's wait and see" Nancy suggested.
