After Gia stormed away, I went back into Simon's office and continued waiting for him. I was over the moon about everything that had happened so far and I couldn't wait to tell Miranda about how successfully our plan was going.

I kept racking my brain about what to give to Simon as a surprise. A few minutes later, Gia came back into the office and I rolled my eyes, wondering what she was up to this time.

I was expecting her to say more words, as I planned to goad her further. However, she ignored me and went to Simon's table.

This time, she did not attempt to sit on his chair, but sat on the chair opposite and began to work on the computer on his table. It seemed she was really sorting out the files he had told her about.

"Not bad," I thought. "I didn't know she could make herself useful."

About forty minutes later, Simon finally came back, looking so tired. I smiled when I spotted him from the door and when he came in, his eyes settled on me, before turning to Gia.
