Suddenly she felt arms wrapped around her as he pulled her in for a hug. Wei’s body tensed to his touch; he had not hugged her or held her in his arms since she was six; therefore, she did not know how to react and could feel nothing but discomfort as she wondered who this man was.
“Wei, you’re home.” Her father shouted joyously, still squeezing her.
“Let go of the child; you want to squeeze her to death.” Aunt Din shouted after seeing the discomfort in Wei's expression
“Tch,” her father replied, finally releasing Wei from his grasp.

Wei sat in bar staring at her drink debating whether she should drown her sorrows or call it a night. After her talk with Chen she found herself feeling particularly lonely tonight and did not want to go home to an empty apartment, since Xi was visiting her parents. The memory of her first taste of alcohol and the hungover that followed used to make her smile. Now... she grabbed the glass again and took another swig of the bitter alcohol just for today she wanted to forget Chen and Hoo.
