Lisa was aware of Marc’s gaze over her. She could not let him know that she noticed. It was her best friend’s wedding. She was the maid of honour. She would do nothing to jeopardize her friendship of five years. What happened that morning was an accident. It had to be. She tried to shake off the image of Marc and her, pressed together on the floor.
Tobias, alpha of the west pack had booked the Olive Garden, a seven-star luxury hotel. All his guests were invited to stay for two days to enjoy the wedding festivities. All premium suites housed movie stars, politicians, and business tycoons. His daughter’s wedding was the most sought event of the year in the county. Marc had initially retaliated to the wedding, but it only took a little bending of rules and fear instilling drive to his parent’s house to convince him.Nobody had ever said no to the alpha. Marc wasn’t going to be an exception.“Which one?” Asked Erica with her eyes fixated on the two custom-made diamond necklaces.“That one,” pointed Lisa for the hundredth time.Every two days, Erica would get mixed feelings about which necklace would be fitting for the biggest day of her life. She waved back and forth on two pieces, one an exquisitely designed necklace with a string of diamonds and another an elegantly studded pendent that was a cluster of 50 diamonds pressed at the centre. Each necklace cost 20 million and yet they seemed not good enough on the day.“Are you sure? It feels a little off.”“…,” Lisa opened her mouth to speak but Erica cut her panicking.“This can’t be. Let’s ask Marc.” offered Erica.“Here, let me take these to him. I will get his opinion, let them do your hair now.” Cried, Lisa. She looked at her friend getting more and more restless as her wedding hour approached. Would she ever feel this nervousness? She hadn’t even kissed anyone yet. Being a physicist wasn’t an easy thing. She immersed herself in her research and never cared for romanticism. She smiled gleefully at Erica who let the best stylist in the country finally touch her hair.Sinking into her chair, she finally gave in, “Fine. I will wear whichever he likes best then. It’s settled.”Lisa hurriedly picked up both pieces and marched to Marc’s suite. She wasn’t particularly fond of him, if anything he made her restless. There was a mystery about him that made her curious and terrified her at the same time. After having known him a year now, she had barely managed to be in his presence fighting the strong urge to run away. Erica loved Marc and she had to learn to be around him for her.She knocked on his suite door and heard a feeble call to get in. Wearing her confidence high and a smile on her face, she walked into his room arms stretched towards him with necklaces in them when she stopped on her feet.He had walked out of the shower and had a white towel wrapped around his waist. A well-pressed suit hung on the rack. The groomsmen had left him to get dressed.“I am sorry,” she poured. trying not to look at his body but finding it hard to take her gaze off.“Oh, I thought it was kurt..”None said a word for a second. Marc could hear her heart beating louder. He tried to say something,“Which one?”“What?”“The necklaces. Erica is having another meltdown over this. Put her out of her misery and chose one.”It was only then that marc noticed that she was holding something in her hands. His eyes met hers and for a moment that was all he saw. “That one.” He pointed to the diamond cluster pendant. “It’s beautiful, isn’t it? I thought it looked good on her too. She wants to look her best for you. No wonder she is nervous.”“Do people have to be nervous to want to look good for me?”“That threw her off. That was a rude thing to say. Shouldn’t he be happy that the love of his life and he were getting married and she made attempts to align his taste too? hers. But then, she felt a wave of embarrassment when she remembered refreshing her lip tint before coming here. She was never one for make-up but just before entering his suite, she looked at her reflection in the massive mirror on the corridor wall. Please with how she looked she nodded to herself. Erica had taken it u
A month after the wedding.Marc and Erica returned from their honeymoon. They both travelled through Europe for three weeks. Erica found Marc distracted a few times but didn’t care where his thoughts had drifted to. He was hers now. They were married. It wouldn’t be long before he marks her as his mate. She thought he would do that every time they slept together, but he wouldn’t. She can always make him. What was the rush now, she thought. Marc dutifully visited the places Erica wanted. He woke up every morning earlier than her to work out. That was the only time of the day he had to himself. Erica was always around, was always excited to see places, and wanted to have sex all the time. Marc had made a promise to be a good husband. He wasn’t one to go back on his words. “Dad wants to meet us for dinner,” Erica announced stepping out of her private plane. A car waited for them right next to the plane and several bodyguards stood in watch. “Sure.”The dinner lasted an hour and spann
Later the same night, Marc lay in his bed focusing on the image of Lisa from that evening. She had dressed in blue denim shorts and a baggy white shirt. He could see the traces of a bra in the shirt. His length hardened thinking of her. Her hair was pulled back and tied neatly. She was surrounded by papers and was focused on a book when they arrived. Her worked-up eyes told him how exhausted she was. How long had it been since she left home, he wondered. She had no accessories on except a watch on her wrist, he remembered. Blood rushed to her face and she seemed happy when Erica recited the same stories that she had told Tobias that evening. Lisa. That name rang in his ears. He yearned to touch her. He wanted to satisfy her in ways she hadn’t thought possible. He felt a nearly uncontrollable wave of emotions take over him when he was near her. But he had to keep it all under check. Tobias wasn’t to be trifled with. Marc had already seen the length alpha would go to ensure his daug
“She starts tomorrow, right? Be good to her” “Sure.” Nodded Marc. After the wedding, Tobias put Marc in charge of SolTech, the leading company that develops new-age solar materials. Lisa joined as head of R&D earlier that week. Tobias offered her the job personally as soon as she submitted her doctoral thesis. He wanted the best working for him. Lisa graduated from Harward and earned her PhD from Princeton. She had published several papers in the field of thin film solar cell development and Tobias wanted to incorporate her technology into his cars. Besides SolTech, Tobias owned a chain of restaurants, a car company, two major hotels in the country and a was a pharmaceutical giant. It seemed like he owned a share in industries. His name was known to everyone in the business. Since Marc had an engineering degree from MIT, he’d be suited to head SolTech. “I am appointing you the director of SolTech,” he announced to Marc, soon after the wedding. “Sure” was all Marc managed. He was
Serena, Marc’s secretary had given a tour to Lisa showing her the cluster room, and introducing the R&D team, of course, there’d be an official welcome party that evening but Serena made sure to get everyone acquainted. They walked through the Analytics Department, towards the manufacturing unit and took an elevator to the 35th floor where her office would be. The working units were on the lower floors, and the Directors, CEOs, and Heads of Departments were all on the top floor. Marc is waiting for you in the office, announced Serena. She walked Lisa into his office. She was dressed in a plain black dress that hugged her figure well. Marc was there when Erica picked up the dress. “She has to look brilliant on her first day. This would be great. Don’t you think?”“Yes,”“Hump. You are turning into the king of monosyllables. Show some enthusiasm, hon”“Sorry. I was distracted. That dress would look on you. Yes.”“Not me. LISAAA.” She exaggerated. “Ah. Yes. I am sorry.” Erica snort
The Welcome party was in the banquet hall of Olive Garden, the hotel that Tobias owned. This is where Erica and Marc had gotten married. The banquet hall was much smaller than the reception hall but its size still overwhelmed Lisa. She had gotten herself a few new dressed from the signing bonus. Every employee at SolTech was always dressed their best. Lisa didn’t want to stand out in her baggy shirts and denim, her comfort clothes. She had chosen a blue cocktail dress for the evening that ran down to her ankles. The white creeper painted on the side of the dress seemed to rise her body. She had let her hair loose that fell on her shoulders. Her heels were a little uncomfortable as she still hadn’t broken into them. After half an hour of acquainting herself with everyone again, she slowly moved to the floor-to-ceiling window. The moon was bright and round. That was one thing she always kept an eye out for. The moon. It gave her peace. Whenever she was surrounded by people she would
Lisa wasn’t thinking at the moment. The strength with which Marc had kicked the door made her sense urgency in his actions. He had always maintained his distance from her. Although she always found him noticing her, he had never said an inappropriate word to her. But that afternoon when he stormed out of the office, Lisa felt pain. How could he not even stand her presence? She didn’t like being around him too much. His mystery got more and more fierce and she was afraid it would devour her. But tonight, his presence engulfed her as he struggled to open the door. He kicked the door sending shivers between her thighs. Before she could make sense of it all or step back to get changed, she found herself leaning into him. Marc didn’t waver for a second. He responded to her instantly. He had thought of it for so long, he was sure that he was dreaming at this moment. Lisa pulled back immediately realising what was happening. She loved it. His lips were on her, but she couldn’t be doing
Marc slipped his hand from her cheeks to to back of her head, pulling her in. Without any hesitation, Lisa leaned in, letting him taste her. She sucked on his tongue and a wave of comfort washed over her. Marked traced his hand down to the small of her back, then to the side of her dress. Pulling the zipper down, he held her tightly as the dressed slipped between them to her feet, she stepped out of it, not letting of his mouth. She unbuttoned his shirt one at a time. Letting out a sigh of arousal, her back arched against the door, touching his shaft. Marc, pulled her hair into a ponytail and continued to kiss her as his hands found her breast. The smell of her arousal sent him on unknown heights. He picked her up and she wrapped her legs around him. He carried her to the living room, and placed her on the small dining table. She pulled him in with her legs, when they heard his phone ring in his pocket. The ring made them both freeze in their spot. Without having to check, they knew
