After yesterday's unexpected event/ drama I am just glad that the two sisters finally worked out their differences and made up. Now I am left faced with yet another problem. Today is the day of the audition, I accidentally overdosed and hit the snooze button so I am more than an hour late. I rushed to the Multi-purpose hall where the auditions took place. Hopefully, it is still on.
I saw the judges packing up...
Skylar: Excuse me I would like to audition for the school studio team. I know that I am late but please give me a chance.
Sam: Not only are you late but you have already missed the auditions, I am sorry. Max...

You know some people are heaven-sent, for example, Lindiwe. She came to my rescue.

It has almost been 30 minutes, I am anxious. I just want this to be through. Right now I could have been on my bed doing important things, maybe fantasizing about me and Kate dating and also watching N*****x. Finally, after what seemed like forever Lindiwe came back. I wish that I was good at reading people's faces because I cannot tell whether she brings good or bad news.

She smiled at me. To me, she seemed at that moment radiantly beautiful. I know I only met her a few days back but you could tell that she was an angel, heaven-sent, or maybe more my guardian angel. Her deeds already justify my statement, because it is only when I am with her that good things occur to me.
Skylar: Thanks, for everything. I am lucky to have a friend like you.

I watched Skylar walk away, somehow my heartfelt unrest. Why do I suddenly feel a void of sadness as if I had lost something most precious to me whenever Sky left my sight? Why do I jump inside and smile and the thought of her name? Dream and imagine her being mine, could this be? That I have fallen in love with her? Is it love or lust? Do I want to go down that path again, the path of heartbreak, rejection, and pain? She may look tomboyish but one thing my father taught me is to not judge a book by its cover. What if she is not into girls and our friendship breaks?
I sat down by myself, in deep thoughts as questions came flooding in my mind. Too many questions and not enough answers. I wonder how Sky is holding up?

I nervously watched Sam take notes, what for? Even I do not know?

Sam: What inspired you to sing?

Skylar: Well, my inspiration... (Shit I stuttered, I don't know what to say?)

No offense I know that he is just trying to help me but he just made things go from bad to worse because now I am panicking.
Skylar: (I took a sip of water). Okay, Ever since I was a kid, the atmosphere back home has been tense. My father was abusive, both to me and my mother. At night I would hear their voices and their arguments, and this frightened me. Weird as it sounds I would cover myself with a blanket, and picture myself on the stage performing and then I'll sing myself a lullaby and fall asleep. Ever since then I used singing as a form of therapy. So music is healing to me.

Skylar: I am going to sing PCH by Jaden and Willow Smith.
Sam: What inspired the song choice?

I cleared my throat.

Skylar: Okay, I am going to sing Till it happens to you by Lady Gaga. A friend of mine taught me that before you sing someone's song, one must find out the significance of that song. I chose this song because I relate to it. Lady Gaga once experienced sexual assault and this song was born. She wanted it to be empowering. Her song portrayed sexual assault in colleges, it was awareness.
