After discussing with Alpha Wymond, Ares left for the dungeon. He can't tolerate the mess his Lycan king is trying to bring up.
It's vivid that she's a werewolf, and such creatures are forbidden in their pack. She isn't supposed to be alive at first, but the fact that they have been bonded by the moon goddess should be a reason no one would treat her like trash.
"A lot of people will pressure him to either kill or throw her out, but I won't let either of it happen while I live." Ares murmured, lost in thought.
"The beta, is everything okay with you?" One of the guards standing at the dungeon entrance referred to him.
He sighed and faked a smile.
"I'm okay, you just have to go in there and get Ophelia out." He ordered them.
They glanced at each other. "But, the king…"
"Do as I say now." He shut them up.
"What an arrant nonsense, Ares? Did I ever give such an order?" Alpha Wymond scolded from behind.
He has been with Ares from his day one back in the palace, and he hasn't behaved in such a way.
"Since you've lost some knots upstairs, I'll help you get them back."
Alpha Wymond touched his head. "I lost some knots? You must be crazy."
"Exactly why I'm getting her out." He snapped.
He threw heavy glares at the guards still standing before him, and they rushed into the dungeon.
"That bitch is my mate and not yours, and I have all the right to do whatever I want." Wymond declared.
Ares grinned. "I see!" He shook his head. "That's why I said that you've lost some knots upstairs."
The guards came out with Ophelia who was finding it difficult to stand on her feet.
"My queen, are you okay?" Ares asked her, staring at her face while his palms held her shoulders.
The guards were confused, as they watched the drama in their presence.
"What do you think you're doing? Must you hold her that way?" Alpha Wymond shrieked, dragging Ophelia away from Ares.
He giggled. "I had thought that you don't need her, so why act jealous now?" He walked closer to the king. "Mind your actions so you won't regret it." He walked away.
After a few seconds Ares left, alpha Wymond stared at Ophelia's face and got pissed off that he pushed her away from his body.
"Bullshit! I was only trying to pretend." He slammed.
The guards held Ophelia so that she didn't fall to the ground.
She lifted her face, staring at him. "What do you think you're doing?"
"I don't know, whatever you think."
"Send me back to my pack if this is the reason you brought me here." She blurted, still staggering around.
He glared at her. "Seems like you've forgotten your offense. You should be happy that you aren't killed yet." He released a loud hiss. "Tell the chief maid to take over her." He referred to the guards and they nodded.
Few seconds after he left, one of the guards took her to the chief maid who was busy in the backyard.
"The king ordered you to take care of her and you know what it means. She should be given a seperate room, washed and dressed up like a queen… she should have some maids around her too." The guards explained.
"And who gave such an order? Were you expecting a werewolf to be treated like a queen here?" A feminine voice drew their attention.
They all turned to see Aurora standing before them with her arms folded around her chest.
"I am the future Luna, and not this asshole." She blurted.
The guard bit his lips in dismay. "That's a fat lie, she's the king's mate and the future Luna. Not the fucking you."
"I don't get what's going on here." The chief maid added.
"Treat her like a queen, that's an order from the king." The guard shrieked.
"She is not a queen, I'll make sure you lose this job if you dare, chief maid." Aurora uttered.
The maid was baffled, she didn't know what to do again. Obey the king and lose her job?
She shook her head. "I'll go see the king myself." She walked out of their sight heading to the chamber.
Aurora walked closer to Ophelia and smiled at her. "Dear asshole, this is not your pack. And it's forbidden for a werewolf to be alive here, talk more of ruling us."
"First!" Ophelia wiped her face. "I'm not an asshole. Second, you can't deny me my position in this palace."
The guard loved how brave she was.
"I want to let you know one thing that you aren't aware of. The king is my lover, and he had already promised to make me his Luna."
Ophelia smiled. "I'm sorry, but that was then, when he hadn't met his mate. But now that I'm here, you have to stop dreaming, because even if you're crowned, it's not gonna last since the moon goddess lives." She stated boldly to her and moved away.
The guard found it funny enough that he went back to his duty post smiling widely.
Aurora left after Ophelia straight to the king chamber to meet the chief maid there.
"Your majesty…" she walked closer to him. "Would you mind warning this bitch not to talk back at me? She's so messy."
The king stared at Ophelia who was busy staring at the floor.
"Ophelia!!"
She lifted her face. "Any problem?"
"Stop jabbering because you're out of the dungeon, you're just a maid in this palace."
She sighed and nodded. "Then take me back to my pack, I'll prefer to be a maid for my king."
Aurora was pissed off to see her talking back at the king, she rushed towards her, lifted her hand to land it on her face, but her hand was held to the air.
She swirled her neck to see the king's younger brother beside her.
"Why acting so nosy?" He glared at her.
Aurora swallowed her saliva, she hates coming in contact with Hayden of all people.
"She's talking back to the king."
"And the king is her mate." He pushed her away, causing Ares who was leaning on the wall to smile widely.
"What do you think you're doing Hayden? Stepping your feet on my lover?" The king yelled.
He nodded. "Actually, I don't know her. The only one I'm getting to know is your mate." He grinned and bowed to Ophelia. "Greetings my queen."
She was shocked that she bowed to him too.
Hayden moved to the chief maid and gripped her hair, she dragged her closer to Ophelia.
"She's the queen, so treat her like one. Failure to do that, you'll not only lose your job, but I'll roast your ass on the fire." He warned the chief maid, and she nodded, feeling scared.
"You should be out of this matter Hayden." Alpha Wymond got annoyed.
"Then there's no reason to be your brother." He moved to Aurora and dragged her out from the king's side. "Tamper with the clan's queen and you'll get lost." She pushed her away.
Aurora bit her lips in disgust, she hates the presence of Hayden in the palace from the first day she met him. She glared at Ophelia who was busy staring at the ground with her fingers in her mouth. "Your majesty, you shouldn't let your brother overshadow you. This bitch isn't supposed to be here." She couldn't keep mute any longer. Hayden took glances at her and clapped his hands. "I wonder what this palace will turn into when you become the Luna, bullshit." He slammed at her, not sparing a single glance at his brother. Ophelia lifted her face and studied the faces of everyone in the room. She focused her gaze on the king for a while and bowed down. "I'm sorry for being out of the dungeon, but I think I have to go to my room now. I need enough rest." She uttered to the hearing of everyone. The king stood from his throne. "Who ordered you to leave?" "I shouldn't take orders before leaving too right?" Ophelia arched her brows. She was so weak that she might pass out. The king
Alpha Wymond dropped his staff on his throne, pacing round the room while Hayden watched him. He paused his movements and glared at his brother who was seated on the cabinet chairs, his gaze focused on the king. "This should be the last time I'll talk about this with you, take your eyes off Ophelia and don't you dare say anything about her to me." He warned Hayden, pointing his finger at him. Hayden nodded, "Then you have to send her back to the Summit Pack, it's far better than suffering in the hands of his mate." "Shut your filthy mouth." He scolded Hayden who finally stood on his feet. "The both of us know that the werewolves are like enemies to us, and so having her as my Luna is a taboo." "The moon goddess isn't stupid to bond the both of you." Hayden snapped, he hates to see his brother talking bad about his mate. Alpha Wymond walked closer to his brother, staring right into his eyes. "Hayden…" "Your majesty…" The voice of a maid cut short his sentence, the both of them tu
Alpha Wymond moved into Ophelia's room to see her laid on the bed, he took silent steps towards the bed and got seated on it. For over five minutes, his eyes focused on her but he couldn't say a word. He adjusted closer to Ophelia and placed his palm on her forehead, her temperature was still high. He placed his palm on her chest and shook his head. "Aurora will regret this if she doesn't make it alive again." He squeezed the bed cover he was gripping, gritting his teeth. Staring at her face that was glowing even on the sick bed, he ran his fingers in her hair shifting them at the sides. He rubbed her cheek and pressed her eyebrows to relax again. "She's so beautiful." He was unaware when those three words escaped his throat, he licked his lips like a hungry lion while rubbing his finger on her succulent lips. "But, why will the moon goddess make a werewolf this beautiful when I hate her that much?" He couldn't help it but adjusted closer and planted a kiss on her lips. Ophelia
Her heart was racing when she felt an excruciating pain between her thighs, she tried letting out a painful groan but her mouth was shut. He let go of her nipple. "This is the punishment you get for attempting to sneak out of the palace." She heard his cold and deep voice clearly, that was when she knew that it was the Lycan King. For goddess sake! Why would he think of tying her and getting into her as a punishment? That was so disgusting to her. "You are mine, Ophelia, and I'll do with your body what I want. No man should have access to this body except me." He placed his first rule. She nodded in fear, as he slided a single finger gently into her. "It feels good to fuck a nonchalant virgin like you, you're so tight and sweet." He whispered to her ear. She swallowed bitterly, having no control of herself any longer. The pains were killing her the most, but she could do nothing. Besides, they are mates. But the fact that he hates her that much should be a reason he should g
A tap on Ophelia's cheek woke her up from her sleep; she had fallen asleep for over two hours after Aurora left the dark room. Her eyes flew open as she was startled by the touch. "Who's that?" She murmured beneath her breath, darting her eyes around the empty dark room. "Your majesty, it's me Ava." "Fuck! What the heck are you doing here? You disappeared after serving me huh?" She spatted, being pissed off. Ava felt pity for herself, she knew how easy it was for anyone to believe that she's responsible for the poisoning. Meanwhile, she knows nothing about it. She walked closer to Ophelia and placed her palms on her shoulders. "I know how painful it is to be in this condition, but the truth is that I know nothing about the poison…I swear with my life." "You're bluffing, besides, I never told you to take an oath." She imagined Ava standing before her. "Why do you care about my welfare when we're supposed to be enemies? I am of no match with you." "You're the forthcoming Luna
Before Alpha Hayden stood three guards that were ready to leave the palace on a mission. He wouldn't watch Ophelia loose her brother while in a severe torture. "His name is Axel, go to the Summit Pack and get him here." He ordered the guards. They bowed to him and ran out of his presence. After standing alone watching the sky for over three minutes, he made up his mind to go see his brother. He needs to talk senses into his head and release Ophelia from the torture room or he will do it himself. He walked into the building again, in a haste to meet Alpha Wymond. But a single soul wasn't in his chamber, so he made his way to his room. He found it difficult to knock, in order to avoid being avoided to step in, so he whined the doorknob and walked in. His thinking was difficult at the moment, and he would love to ease himself of the burden. "Let go of Ophelia from that dark room." Hayden referred to his brother, it was neither a request nor an order. "If she dies there, I'll ne
Five days later. The Lycan king hasn't transformed to his human form yet, he walks around the palace, destroying things and hurting anyone who comes on his way. Alpha Hayden and Aurora regained consciousness a day after, while Axel was hospitalized with his sister. Hayden stood at the doorpost of his room in deep thought, he hates the condition his brother is into, and he would always say that it's a torture from his wolf. "I shouldn't pity him." He licked his lips and leaned on the wall. "Your majesty…" He was drawn out of his thoughts by the presence of a guard who knelt before him. "Her majesty is back, she's outside." The guard announced. "You meant, Ophelia right?" His eyes widened, revealing how curious he was. The guard nodded. "Yes your majesty, she's here already." Alpha Hayden turned to see Ophelia walking along the passageway, she looked pale and weak while taking each step slowly. "Ophelia…" He called her out. She stood, stared at him for some seconds before
Hours elapsed and it was morning already, the sunrise shone on Ophelia's face. She turned to the other side of the room and yawned. Her eyes slowly opened, but she was too lazy to stand. She felt that her bones were scrapped and she found it difficult to make a move."What a long night?" She murmured, darting her hands around the ground in search of her brother, but she was alone in the room."Axel…aren't you here?" She gasped and shut her eyes again. But she recalled that she wasn't in the palace, and it's against the king's order for her to leave the palace, not now that she's strong again and the king is back to his human form. Her eyes flew open only for her to find herself in a strange room. "I'm supposed to be with Axel, where am I?" She muttered, questioning no-one but herself. She stared at her body to see that she was completely naked, and her clothes on the other side of the room.Anxiously, she fled up from the ground and grabbed her cloth, but it was torn."Who the heck
"Where is Ophelia?" Alpha Wymond shrieked at Ava who held the kid by her two hands. She turned backwards to see Alpha Hayden staring at her too."When did you become deaf?" The king began climbing down the veranda stairs."Wait!" Ava sighed heavily. "I can't tell at this moment, she handed the kids to me and ordered that I live…according to her, she has two options, to live or to die with Aurora." She stated and took a glance at her Alpha. "I had to leave as she ordered, and I believe she's fine." She concluded. Alpha Wymond clenched his fist after releasing loud hiss to the hearing of everyone. "Do you think she can survive in the hands of a Lycan?" His hoarse voice startled Ava. "Fine, I must find her or I don't see any reason to live as well." He threw his staff on the floor and took to his heels. Alpha Hayden didn't say a word, rather he lifted the kids into his arms. "Where is my son?" She asked Ava. She pointed at the building. "Asleep."They moved into the building together
Aurora tied the kids together and laid them on the ground, she already got a pepperish leaf and rubbed the whole of their body so that they cried out their eyes. "Your mother thinks she's being wise enough. So long as I don't have my own kid, she won't have hers…because I lost him because of his brother."She soliloquized while hitting a stick on the ground. Her eyes focused on the kids as they shed hot balls of tears, but she never felt pity for them."Now, I've lost my father and I don't even have anywhere to go…I'll make sure to bring everyone down and take over this land." She uttered audibly, but was startled by the sound that hit her ears. She kept mute for a while, focusing in order to hear the sound again but didn't, rather she felt a stick thrown on her feet. This time, she stood up and grabbed the sword she got from her fathers house that she visited recently. "Whoever it is should better show his or herself." She thought, taking slow but steady steps out of the area she h
Ares walked closer t0 Ophelia. "Tell me this is a joke? The king took them into his room himself and laid them down." He referred to Ophelia, sweating profusely. Ophelia bit her finger. "Do you think I'm pranking with my kids? Go check for yourselves if you still don't believe it." She retorted and scratched her head. The king twitched out of the room to his in order to confirm what Ophelia was talking about. It seems like a folk tale since he laid them on the bed himself and no one has the right to step into his room without his order. Ares and Alpha Hayden didn't hesitate to go with him, and to their greatest shock, what Ophelia was complaining of was true."Search thoroughly." The king ordered his brother and Beta, but still, not even their shadow was seen."What are you going to do now? This isn't child play and someone is behind this." Alpha Hayden referred to his brother. The king sighed heavily. "Gather the guards and maids." He ordered and moved out of his room into his cha
Ava was seated outside when an arrow almost hit her, she rolled off and it hit the wall, then fell on the ground. "It seems like a message, Ava." One of the guards said to her, relieving her a bit. She stood up and took the sheet from the guard, then went through it thoroughly. "Exactly what she said earlier." She murmured and stood on her feet in order to go meet Ophelia, but the guard called her back. "Any problems?" She inquired. The guard pointed backwards. "Those ones are werewolves, what should I do to them?""They must be here for some important reasons." Ava replied to him and walked inside. She met Ophelia who was about to step into her room and tapped her shoulder. "An arrow was shot into the palace with this sheet, Diana sent it." She whispered to her.Ophelia took it away from her and began going through it."And the maid and guard are already here." Ava added. She chiseled her face. "I need to see them." Ophelia retorted. "No need, the maid gave me this to give to
Diana left immediately after revealing what she had in mind to Ophelia. She didn't care if she believed her or not…the fact that she had relieved her mind was enough for her to have rest of mind. When she reached the summit pack, a maid and a guard were dressed up, leaving the palace…but she had to hide in order not to be seen. "What is Alpha Asher up t0? How many times will I tell her t0 stay away from Aurora's plan? I can see he has a death wish or maybe wants to lose the throne." She murmured and walked into the palace. The heaviness in her heart made it difficult to stand before the Alpha, the least she was able to do was head over to her room."He's very wrong by dragging the Lycan King's mate to himself, and now he wants to get rid of them because he didn't win…what sort of stupidity is that?" She bit her lower lips.Recalling how many times she begged for his love, she broke out in tears. What is it that she will do again for him to forget Ophelia or anything concerning her
"I can't let this happen, even though Ophelia once dealt with me with her presence here, but I wouldn't blame her." Diana thought while eavesdropping on the conversation between Alpha Asher and Aurora. At the same time, she was disappointed that her Alpha was taking action towards something illegal. "I need to confront him or I'll expose him. He can't do that to the king who did nothing to him…he should be judged for dragging his mate with him in the first place when I'm still living." She contemplated within her.In order not to be caught, she tiptoed back to her room and ordered a maid to alert her after Aurora had left.Few minutes after she left, the maid came over with the news of Aurora's leave, then she went over to Alpha Asher in his chamber. "Are you really planning to take the royal Lycans? Do you think it's going to be possible?" Diana confronted him.He scratched his head. "Though you hated Ophelia and the king, don't you want them down too?" He replied to her with a qu
"That bitch! Why am I even scared of her?" Aurora cursed while seated on a brick taking a rest from the run she had been on because of Ophelia. "At least, I lost my father and she will lose her brother. Mind her, that's not the end…I'll surely teach her a lesson that she will regret coming into this clan." She murmured, staring at the ground and drawing what she doesn't even know.Later on, the thought of the Lycan King stuck her mind causing her to release a loud hiss."That jerk! After struggling and suffering to be with you…all the times you fucked hell out of me, you had the guts to turn me down because of a wolfless werewolf.." She smiled and shook her head. "It wasn't okay t0 exile my father, I strongly believe you killed him as well. You'll lose that throne you're fighting to protect as well as your life." She remarked and stood on her feet.Took a glance around her and adjusted her gown. "I'll go see Alpha Asher, I think making him my tool will be the best." She thought and l
"Take me to see my brother's corpse if at all he's truly dead." Ophelia said to the assassin she was holding on the floor. The assassin managed to stand again, feeling ashamed of himself that a werewolf was threatening a Lycan like him."He's buried already. We had a deal with him, to save both the Lycan King and your kids including you who were in danger, in exchange for his life…" He glanced around. "There's no need to waste time again, he was killed and buried instantly.""You must be joking, then show me his grave." Ophelia suggested, but the assassin shook his head. "You're too tough to my liking." He complained, but Ophelia gave him a slash on the neck.He stared at Ophelia for a while then cleaned up the blood dripping on his cloth. "You dared used my own sword on me?""There's a saying that you should die by your own sword."Ophelia uttered to him.He walked closer to her and tried taking the sword from her, but she flew up and jumped to his back."Huh! You are a werewolf and n
In frustration, Aurora sat under the tree thinking of what her life was turning into, there was nothing interesting about her anymore."How will I get back my Child since this jerk took him to the palace? The Lycan King might not even spare my life, not when he already found out about Ophelia and the kids." She scratched her hair in confusion. Everything was upside down for her already, she thought of going to his father's house but it was something else to her."Not my child nor my mate. Even the king that I longed for all my life already abandoned me." She got to her feet and dusted her buttocks, then took the way that led to her father's exiled land. That was the only place she had to go at the moment, no one else to go to.She was weak, extremely weak that she longed to fill her belly and regain some strength…but the only one that would do that for her was no one but her father. After a long stroll to the compound, she noticed that everywhere was empty unlike the other days. He
