Seeing Drew by the door Clarissa tried so hard to ignore his presence, but unfortunately, his sense of existence was just too strong to ignore. I’ll do the remaining dishes. Drew declared as he rolled up the sleeves of his tuxedo and did the dishes.

I thought I had promised myself to try and fall in love with someone else before Drew came to ruin my date. I was so angry about how my body responded to Drew at the restaurant. By the time I got back, I was hungry, so I went in to the kitchen. When I opened our freezer, I saw that Sunny had packed food for both Drew and me.

I don’t know if mom and dad were asleep, so I put my food down. When Drew came in, I saw how down he was looking, even though we did not say a word. My heart ached seeing him that depressed. He lit a cigarette and put it in his hand without smoking. When I saw how the cigarette had been burning out, I don’t know what came over me. I quickly wiped it off his hand.
