The tightness I felt in my chest certainly was not because I had just made the stupidest choice to jump off the Ferris wheel which was hundreds of feet above ground. It was because of the protective way Deron had his hands around my waists, the way his nose delicately touched mine and ethereal syncing of our heartbeats. I suddenly did not care about the fact that we nearing our doom, all I wanted was to spend the rest of my life in his arms like this.

I was in love with Deron.

The rest of the world around me was a total blur, the sky a cloudy blue mass of swirls and my periodic glances of the earth below only showed the blurry mash of green.

I stayed transfixed in his hold, this feeling was something I had never experienced before. It was stronger than the perfect balance, overwhelming and powerful, so powerful it made my heart do somersaults in my chest and my blood pumped with force through my being.
