Lyra's POV

The first sign of Elara's return was a subtle shift in reality - not the violent tears we'd grown accustomed to, but a gentle parting, like silk sliding against silk. She materialized in the center of the pack house, her form translucent and shimmering with otherworldly energy.

"Sister," she said, her voice echoing strangely. "We don't have much time."
