SORA'S POV:-
I opened my eyes and with a loud gasp, I sat up on the ground. With fear in my heart, I looked around. There was no one around. Or so I thought. A moment later, a figure appeared in front of me, fearing me to my death. "Who are you? What do you want? Where am I? What am I doing here? Agh…!" I was unable to speak up all the questions I had in my head. Clutching onto my chest, I fell on the ground again.
I could barely breathe. The pain in my chest was unbearable. Yet, no one had mercy on me. The man who walked up to me, sat on a chair right in front of me and leaned closer. "I am Alpha Oliver Cougar. And this is the Dark Crescent Moon pack. Now that you know where you are, do you submit to me or not?" Alpha Cougar's question left me surprised for a moment.
It took me a minute to remember who Alpha Oliver Cougar was. He was the werewolf alpha my mother had married to. And he was the reason why she left me alone at the pack. She didn't even call or even text to ask if I was doing okay. Despite that ache in my chest, I could never let anyone dominate me like that. It was how I was. I might not have my wolf but I had a stronger will. Gritting my teeth, I shook my head while staring at the alpha's face.
It angered him more. He grabbed my jaw and squeezed it to the point, I felt like it was going to snap. His tight grip on my jaw was painful. But that pain was like an ant in front of the pain I felt in my chest. It was unknown and I couldn't understand why I had it. Then there was Noah's betraying voice echoing in my head, making me weaker and weaker by every passing minute.
If it was not for the pain I was feeling in my chest, I would have broken down in front of Alpha Cougar. He let go of my jaw then slapped me across the face. "Take this fucking disgrace to the dungeon and lock her up. Until she decides to submit to my authority and live under my command." Alpha Cougar growled at me.
Two men grabbed my arms and covered my face with a dark bag. I was dragged away almost instantly. They threw me into a cell. As they were locking me up, I pulled the bag off of my face and found one of the men, the taller one, staring at me with pure lust in his eyes.
Once I was locked, the other one also looked at me with a sympathetic look in his eyes. They walked away, but the taller one turned again and winked at me. I fell on the ground once I was left alone and started crying, clutching onto my aching chest.
……….
I was pacing back and forth, growling angrily. It took me a few hours to make peace with the fact that Noah had said all those mean things to me. I was right about him being my mate. But like everyone else in that pack, he also was my only weakness. Or maybe, to me it was my one small weakness but for everyone, it was a big deal.
It was not my fault that I was born with no wolf. "What did you do to piss off Alpha Oliver?" A sweet and gentle feminine voice reached my ear, almost soothing the inner fight I had inside of my mind.
"I refused to submit to his Alpha authority. My Alpha is Alpha Arnold as my pack is Ice Crest pack. I am one of the soldiers of that pack. Just because my mother decided to be with Alpha Cougar, doesn't mean I am supposed to submit to that man as well." I replied to her honestly. For some reason, through her voice, I felt like I could trust her. After all, she was also locked up in one of the cells with me.
I heard her chuckle as she heard the reason why Alpha Cougar actually locked me in. "Why don't you come to the corner of your cell? There is a hole in the wall. We will be able to talk freely." I was a little surprised by that but I didn't say anything. Her voice was so gentle, something I never experienced in my life. Except for Noah, no one was ever gentle and kind toward me. I just listened to everything she asked me.
I walked toward the end of the cell. What she called a hole, was a window between two cells. And I was surprised how no one really knew about it. "What's your name, sweet little thing?" She asked me, offering me her hand.
I placed my hand on top of hers and told her my name. "Sora! My name is Sora Woods. Who are you? What did you do to piss off the grumpy ass alpha?" I asked and we both started laughing at the name I gave alpha Cougar.
"My name is Celeste. But everyone around here calls me Lady Agatha. You will address me as Agatha in front of everyone. But once alone, you can call me Celeste." She replied in a gentle tone, rubbing my hand so gently. The pain I felt in my whole body was gone in a minute. And the comforter I sought all my life, I found it in her soothing words and gentle voice.
"That stupid man can't keep me here unless I want to. I am here for a reason. Without it, he couldn't have touched my hair." I giggled as I heard her answering the second question I asked her. It felt like we had no difference at all. As if we were exactly like each other.
She was beautiful. I almost stopped breathing while looking at her. I was watching her when her eyes glowed and she froze. I gulped hard as I couldn't help but think that I did something wrong again. "Listen to me, sweet kid. Listen to me very carefully. You don't belong here. You have to get out." She started talking again after a few minutes and I jumped in surprise.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, my heart racing in my rib cage.
"Alpha Cougar will not let me go until I have submitted to him and have accepted him as my alpha. And I am never doing that." I added naively. She had something on her mind. Yet she stayed quiet until I was done speaking.
I couldn't say why she was so infested with me so much. But I had to admit that I lived the attention so much. "I can understand how you feel. There is a way for you to kill two birds with one stone. You don't have to submit to that stupid man and you can also get out." She offered me a way to get out of the dungeon. I couldn't say I hated it. I also wanted to get out just so I could continue my training.
………….
I was sitting in front of Alpha Cougar. Well, I was on the ground while he was on a chair. He was staring at me impatiently. Although I didn't want to do it, Celeste still made me agree with her plan. She wanted me to get out and continue my training. It's what I wanted too. She told me everything I was supposed to do and everything I needed to know to survive in that pack. "Well! I am waiting!" Alpha Cougar spoke while staring at me.
The heel of his right shoe was clicking against the concrete floor. "I, Sora Woods, submit to you, Alpha Oliver Cougar, and accept you as my alpha. I promise you my loyalty, my hard work and my respect." I submitted to him exactly how Celeste told me to do. I was not not so sure if it was going to work. However, I was surprised when I saw Alpha Cougar smiling at me.
He stood up from his chair and offered me his hand. I smiled and placed my hand on his. "It was this easy. Now you are free." He spoke as he pulled me out of the dungeon. Back in my mind, my conversation with Celeste was replaying.
"What are you going to do? How can I get you out of here?" I asked her and she smiled.
"You don't have to do anything. These walls can never be strong enough to hold me in unless I want to. I told you before, I have a purpose for being here. And another one to guide you to the right path." She replied calmly, as if she was not in a dark and smelly dungeon but sitting into a floral garden.
"Just stay out of trouble. Be as submissive as you can be. There will be times when your dominating aura will try taking over you. But you will have to fight it." I nodded my head as I heard her. She sounded so serious about the whole thing. She told me a bunch of things about my future as well. If only I could understand it. She was talking in riddles and she told me that I would understand them when I would need to understand it.
Upstairs, I was given a room between the rooms of Alpha's twin sons. My room was a mess. I started cleaning up and soon, I changed the mess into a perfect room. It was a miracle that my mother let me have a big room like that.
I stepped out of my room and bumped into my mother who was glaring at me. I had no idea what I did to piss her off again. "Now that you have set your room, tone for you to get to work." My mother spoke coldly as she grabbed my hand and dragged me to the ground floor. She handed me the cleaning supplies and I knew exactly what she wanted me to do.
"From now on! You are an omega of the pack. You will serve the alpha's alpha's mansion and you can't say no to any of the chores. Do you understand me?" She growled at me, hatred dripping from her eyes.
"Yes, Luna!" I replied in a low tone, controlling my anger in front of her. Before I would have murdered either her or her precious Solana, I walked away to complete the list of chores she gave me. I knew if I could stay out of t
rouble, I could request the Alpha to let me train with the soldiers of his pack.
SORA'S POV:-After mopping each floor of the alpha's mansion, I was beat. I naked my way toward my bathroom. I stripped my clothes off of my body and stood under the running warm water. My body was sticky with sweat. Unlike others, unlike her precious Solana, I was merely a human and I was to mop a mansion and wash the toilets. Plus if anyone asked me to clean their rooms, I was supposed to do that as well.Despite the fact that I hadn't eaten all day, I was so exhausted that I just wanted to lie in my bed and just die for a while if I could. Even if anyone would call me, I wouldn't be able to listen because hell… I was dead. But I couldn't get this lucky. And no one dies for a while. After cleaning myself up, I stepped out of the bathroom. I towel dried my hair and my body. I didn't even have enough strength to get something to wear for the night. I laid on my bed. As I had expected, almost instantly, my eyelids started to get heavy. I was soon pulled into a world that was free from
SORA'S POV:-After eating something, I decided to go back to bed. I was still exhausted. I was shivering as the temperature dropped even more. "Why did you get out without anything warm? This is the Dark Crescent Moon pack, temperature drops here to minus ten at the beginning of winter. And since you don't have your wolf, you need warm clothes to keep yourself warm." Sebastian asked in a low tone. He was kind enough to stay with me until I had dinner and then he was walking me back to bed."I would if I could find them. I know I had my warm clothes in the bags. I can't find them anymore." I replied in a low tone and Sebastian stopped in his way."We brought all your stuff carefully. The beta's quarters were empty when we left." Hearing him, I smiled nervously and shook my head."No, I didn't mean to accuse you. I am saying I can't find them." I corrected myself as I didn't want to get into any trouble. After all, it's the promise I had made with Celeste. That I would behave until she
SORA'S POV:-I had tears in my eyes as I entered Loid's room holding the cleaning supplies. J was a warrior, for the love of the Moon goddess. They were treating me like their personal slave. I wiped my tears and tried to clean up his room as quickly as possible. After sweeping the floor, I went into his bathroom, carrying all of his laundry to his bathroom. I washed his bathroom then I stepped out. I frowned as I looked around. Did I put his clean clothes away as well? I asked myself while looking around. Shrugging my shoulders, I mopped the floor, set his bed then placed all his things back in their place. I looked at his room, which was completely clean. I looked at my dirtying clothes and a growl almost escaped my lips. I had pulled a decent pair of clothing out for the academy. I walked toward his bedroom door. As I stepped out, I found him leaning against the wall. The smirk on his face boiled my blood. I wanted to punch him in the face for ruining my day. Yet here he was, smi
SORA'S POV:-I came back home late that night. As I had guessed right about Loid. He was a jerk and an asshole. I was in my bathroom, soaking my body into the warm water. I had soaked some medical herbs in the warm water to help me with the soreness and my ache in my bones. He left me by dusk, alone at the field. Not that I was afraid or anything. But since I was just starting, he was supposed to be there to supervise me.He made me take laps, about ten times in six hours. And that too, he was not satisfied at five or ten laps. The training field that we were in, was thrice as big as a soccer ground. And he made me run a minimum thirty laps of the group and that was actually once. It was frustrating how a racist like him was supposed to be the trainer that I had. Except for me, the field was empty. It was appalling how not even a single woman on the pack wanted to even try and become one of the soldiers, or even try to be one of the guards in the Dark Crescent Moon Pack. That gave Loi
SORA'S POV:-When I was trying so hard not to mess up anything, I cursed my sister for being a bitch. She was my twin and the devil of my life. Sometimes I even wondered if our mother let a demon impregnate her because there was no way she was this evil without a demon's blood in her veins. I was struggling to open my eyes while my sister was enjoying my agony. She was tugging my long black hair so hard.My heart skipped a beat for no reason. Until I felt someone's presence in front of me. “What is going on here?” My throat went dry the moment Loid's voice echoed in my ears. Despite the burning sensation in my eyes, I forced my lids open to see the world. Everything was blurry. My heart sank in the pit of my stomach as I thought of going partially blind. In that case, I knew my dream of becoming a warrior would be ruined. “It's her fault. She didn't bring me the right drink.” Solana lied through her teeth so boldly. This was nothing new for me. She had been lying I guess since the mom
SORA'S POV:-In the morning, I arrived at the training field. As soon as I stepped in, Loid came growling at me. “Fifty laps of the ground, start running. And you have to finish before the clock ticks 9.” I frowned as I didn't understand the reason why he would be so angry. I sighed as there was no use of arguing with that man. I started running as fast as I could. I only had fifteen minutes to complete my laps.I expected to fall down at the thirtieth lap but it didn't happen. Yes, I was panting but so far, I was not as exhausted. Though, it took me five extra minutes to finish my fifty laps. “I thought you would be able to finish it off sooner. What a shame!” He growled at me, making me growl back at him.“We are practicing sparring today. Get rid of your extra clothing or it will only benefit me. Because I will be coming at you, hard.” He growled as he was wrapping his knuckles with the bandages. I pulled my jacket and the shirt off. I was left in my tank top and skinny sweats. Wh
SORA'S POV:-A few days later, after a long and tiring day at the academy, I stepped out and a wide smile appeared on my face. I found Alex waiting for me on his bike. As soon as I stepped out of the academy, he stood straight, holding a bouquet for me. My cheeks turned pink as I walked toward him. “What is all this?” I asked, keeping my voice extremely low. Though, it was useless since I was surrounded by werewolves.“Hi, to you too. Nice to see you again.” He whispered back, rolling his eyes at me. I couldn't help but giggle at the face Alex just made when he was annoyed. “Sorry!” I apologized and in response, he gently pinched my cheek. “I thought I should visit you, since you can hardly be found at home. You are either studying, doing chores or in the field, training with Loid.” Alex sounded annoyed yet again.“In a few days, you actually learned about my routine. I am impressed, Alex.” He chuckled as he listened to me. “What do you say? Shall we get out of here?” Alex asked me
SORA'S POV:-By the time I went back down, I found Solana standing with mom and feeding her lies. “She didn't complete her chores at all. And she went out.” I wanted to stop her because Alpha Cougar was with mom. He was glaring at me for some reason. So I decided to stay quiet and let Solana humiliate herself in front of the Alpha Cougar. Everyone went to the basement and I followed them. Solana was surprised to see the basement completely empty and clean. “Where is the laundry? Didn't you just say that Sora didn't do her chores?” Alpha Cougar growled at Solana angrily. It was amusing to watch her getting humiliated for once the way she had been humiliating me since I could actually remember.Solana was dumbfounded while she was trying to figure out what she could do. “I swear, she didn't do her chores. You can ask anyone around here. She came in late and went straight to her room. She didn't do anything at all.” My heart started pounding against my rib cage as her suggestions echoed
THIRD PERSON'S POV:-Sora gasped loudly as she sat up. Breathing heavily, Sora looked at her surroundings. She sighed in relief. There weren't any skinwalkers around. Sora knew that the Moon Goddess' seal was back in its place and all the skinwalkers had been sealed away. Her head was spinning and she could hear her blood pumping into her veins. Sora tried to stand up but she fell right back on my butt. Her head was spinning, Sora was dizzy. With all the strength that Sora could master, she stood up on her feet and made her way out of the woods. “Loid! Noah!” Sora called out loud as she made her way out. Sora stepped out on the road, trying to figure out where she was. Sora gasped loudly as she heard a loud honking from behind. She wanted to move away but her body froze. A car was approaching her fast.A few feet away from where Sora was standing, the car turned to the side, dodging her. It stopped a few feet away. Clutching onto her chest, Sora fell on the ground. A woman stepped ou
THIRD PERSON'S POV:-Loid and Sora were staring at Sebastian in utter shock. Noah was also staring at Sebastian but in confusion. “Sebastian! What is all this? Why are you here?” Loid growled at his brother. Loid knew what was happening, yet his brain didn't want to process that piece of information for the sake of his brother's well-being. Loid was surprised more than before when Sebastian started laughing at Loid.Noah stepped forward and took a better look at Sebastian's face. “Aren't you Sebastian Cougar, Loid's twin brother? What are you doing here?” Noah almost repeated the same question as Loid, but Sebastian couldn't stop laughing.“Why the fuck are you laughing, Sebastian? What is wrong with you?” Loud asked, growling at his brother this time. He was getting impatient because he could hear all the warriors screaming and fighting.“What's that, brother? Why is he so interested in you? Did you guys make out or something?” Instead of answering all the questions he was asked, Seb
SORA'S POV:-After clearing my head by walking aimlessly for a few hours, I finally decided to go back to the palace. I was already exhausted. I needed time to deal with everything. I decided not to stop by my father's chambers, as I knew well that he would be trying to convince me to let Noah mark me. I didn't want that. I didn't care about anything, not even that damn kingdom that didn't protect me when I needed protection from them. Why was I supposed to sacrifice when they needed it from me? They didn't do anything for me.I opened the bedroom and as soon as I stepped in, my breath hitched when I found both Noah and Loid sitting in the same bed. They had their pants on but their upper bodies were naked. “What are you both doing?” I growled at them both. I couldn't say if they were under any of Celeste's sick spells. I couldn't see anything, maybe because I was still recovering, I was unable to see it. Either way, I didn't want to even look at them.I was about to turn around and l
THIRD PERSON'S POV:-Several millennia ago, when The Moon goddess was living among all the creatures that lived in this magical realm, a chaos was ignited in between all the creatures. Aphrodite, the Goddess of love, lust and beauty, wanted to seduce the Moon and turn its powers to provide her with more beauty that could never be declined, even by God Zeus. The Moon Goddesses didn't want the Moon to lose its beauty and its powers. Especially when their powers were connected with it. Then came Goddess Selene, who wasn't connected with the moon but the Moon was connected with her powers. The moon was like a child to all the goddesses of the moon. Together, they refused Aphrodite's oblation. Goddess Selene, the Goddess of the Moon and all the shapeshifters, kicked Aphrodite out of her Temple when Aphrodite decided to use force against the Goddesses, to take away the silver light of the moon. She wanted to drink that silver light to become more beautiful than she already was. And Goddess
SORA'S POV:-The next morning, I was called by my father to meet him personally before the official meeting could have started. Nervously, I was staring at my reflection in the mirror. Loid stepped out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist. I couldn't help but lick my lips as I watched him. I heard him chuckle, that's when my eyes went up to his face. My cheeks turned red without the powdered blush. I had been caught red handed.Loud walked toward me and zipped up the long dark green dress I was wearing. “There is no need for you to feel nervous. I will be there with you. And I will be by your side no matter what happens. And I promise to never ask you anything about those abilities of yours again.” Loid whispered, his promise made me smile.Well, he had learned his lesson. And I was glad. I also helped him get dressed. After that, he grabbed my hand and pulled me outside of our bedroom. Although I was a little hungry, I knew I needed to talk to my father about the matter.
SORA'S POV:-I was excited to spend some alone time with my maye. It felt like ages since we had sat together like that and talked nonsense. And laughed at stupid things that we talked about. Loud helped me down on the ground, then Loid walked away, to look for the fresh red apples, just the way I liked them. My heart was beating so face in excitement. It was finally at ease that we were no longer in trouble. “Hey! Are you lost, little girl? How old are you? Where are your parents?” I frowned in confusion when I heard Loid's voice not from afar.I looked up and my heart almost stopped for a few seconds as I looked at the dark creature that was standing in front of Loid, glaring at him with its eyes filled with blood lust for Loid. Terror gripped my heart and my body was suddenly so cold. As if I had frozen in my place, and was unable to move.“Don't be afraid, sweetie! I will not hurt you. Are you lost? Let me help you find your parents.” Loid tried to talk to that thing in his gentle
SORA'S POV:-I couldn't bear that pain in my chest. I couldn't bear that scene playing again and again in my head. I wanted to get out of there because I felt suffocated in between the walls of the huge palace that belonged to my father. I hated that place. Before we came to the palace, I had everything that I needed. I had my mate who loved me so much. I had a home and a family that I always wanted. But since I became the lost princess of the werewolf kingdom, I became the poorest of all.My heart was burning in flames of rage and jealousy. I was his mate. It was natural. When I didn't even look at another man, I found him kissing his ex. “Sora! Wait!” I heard Loid calling me from behind. I already knew that he was running after me. But I didn't want to respond to him. I didn't even want to see him.“Sora! I said wait!” Loid called again from behind. I wiped my tears as I ran deeper and deeper into the woods. Just then, he grabbed my hand from behind and I gasped loudly when I was pu
THIRD PERSON'S POV:-Loid went for a run after leaving Sora at the Alpha King's Chambers. His mind just couldn't rest. He wanted to know everything about his mate. After all, they were soul mates. There was not supposed to be any secrets between soul mates. After running for miles, then showering and even after having his evening snacks, he couldn't stop thinking about that secret Sora was hiding from him. At last, he decided to go to the library and read some good books that could help him take his mind off of things. To his luck, he found a perfect book to keep his mind off of everything that was bothering him. It was a book about history and warfare. With a warm cup of ginger tea, he sat down on a desk and began reading the book. His mind finally found something else to focus on and his insides were quiet for a while. Loid felt peace that he had lost since he figured out that Sora had been lying to him about her abilities. He was busy flipping pages one after another when a famili
SORA'S POV:-I almost wanted to laugh when I heard my father trying to cover up his bigger curse word with a smaller one. But the discussion we were having was way too serious. I couldn't just laugh while discussing something serious. I might be his daughter and to him I was his lost little girl but in reality, I was a grown woman with a mate and a pack that I was ruling with my mate as their Luna. I had some boundaries that I couldn't cross, like ever.So I took a deep breath and grabbed the cup of tea from the table and took a sip. It wasn't as hot but enough to keep me from laughing out hard in front of my father. “I don't understand. You said she didn't want kids. But then you said that Solana was older than me. I don't understand.” I tried to change the conversation. Of course, I wanted answers. All the questions in my head, I wanted them to stop screaming.I heard my father sigh. “Well, that's what she told me the first night when we were supposed to mate. I was considerate. The
