SORA'S POV:-
After mopping each floor of the alpha's mansion, I was beat. I naked my way toward my bathroom. I stripped my clothes off of my body and stood under the running warm water. My body was sticky with sweat. Unlike others, unlike her precious Solana, I was merely a human and I was to mop a mansion and wash the toilets. Plus if anyone asked me to clean their rooms, I was supposed to do that as well.
Despite the fact that I hadn't eaten all day, I was so exhausted that I just wanted to lie in my bed and just die for a while if I could. Even if anyone would call me, I wouldn't be able to listen because hell… I was dead. But I couldn't get this lucky. And no one dies for a while.
After cleaning myself up, I stepped out of the bathroom. I towel dried my hair and my body. I didn't even have enough strength to get something to wear for the night. I laid on my bed. As I had expected, almost instantly, my eyelids started to get heavy. I was soon pulled into a world that was free from all the bullies.
When I woke up again, it was past midnight. My stomach was growling. In fact, I was woken up by my growling stomach, demanding some food. I crawled out of the bed and walked toward the closet. Since I was still so tired, instead of wearing my clothes, I wore a pair of cotton shorts and wrapped a nightgown around my body to cover it up.
I went downstairs to find myself something to eat. I couldn't say I was either disappointed or angry or even surprised when I saw the kitchen door locked. It was my mother's doing. Back at the pack, she used to do it just to let me starve. According to her, I was fat and I didn't need to eat much.
I was a soldier for fucks sake. Cursing her in my heart, I walked out of the mansion. The cold breeze hit my skin, reminding me of the weather that had started to change. And so far, I haven't found any of my warm clothes.
I walked toward the forest despite reading the beware sign. "It's better to be someone's meal but dying out of starvation." I whispered to myself as I entered the forest. I went a little deep and to my luck, I found an apple tree. I took one of the apples and walked deeper into the forest. There were lots of trees and plants of different fruits and even vegetables I found around the forest. But I was in the mood for something packed with protein.
I heard the water running and a smile appeared on my face. I knew that the Dark Crescent Moon Pack had three forests and two rivers. One of them was known to be the deadliest. But that one river was packed with fishes.
With a growling stomach, I made my way toward the river. Just as I was about to step out of the treeline, someone grabbed me by my waist from behind and pulled me away. "Hey! Let me go!" I screamed at whoever dared to touch me. The next second, my mouth was covered by his hand as he took me out of the forest. Without asking me, I was taken back up the mansion.
They rudely dropped me on the ground. Before I could see whoever it was, they just disappeared. I stood up and started walking around. I was angry and determined to find whoever had the guts to touch me without my permission. I turned to the corner and bumped into someone. Before I could have hit the ground, a pair of arms wrapped around my waist.
I finally looked at the person and my heart skipped a beat. "I apologize for being extremely rude, but I had to make sure that you are alright." He whispered softly as he stood straight, pulling me along. It was one of the guys who had locked me up into the dungeon upon the alpha's order. It was the one who looked at me with pity.
"Who are you?" I asked and he quickly placed his index finger on my lips.
"Not here. Come with me." He whispered softly as he grabbed my hand and pulled me to his room. He locked the door and turned to look at me. I gulped hard as his eyes were on my chest as he started walking closer toward me.
My heart started pounding against my rib cage as I started taking steps away from him. "Don't be afraid. Please don't think of me as a pervert. I was just looking at your wounds. They are not healing." He asked, making me sigh in relief. I watched him disappear in his bathroom and he came back with a first aid kit in his hands.
He sat down on the couch and offered me his hand. "Who are you?" I asked again, staring at him suspiciously. He chuckled softly and stood back up on his feet.
"I am Alpha's son and your step… Well, it almost feels like I am committing a crime whenever I say that word. But it cannot be helped. My father found your mother first. I am your step brother, Sebastian Cougar." He replied in a nervous tone and I couldn't stop the giggle that suddenly slipped out of my lips.
His cheeks turned pink and I found it adorable. He was blushing. "Now do you think you can trust me? I am just trying to tend to your wounds. If they are not healing, I have to disinfect them and cover them up after putting some ointment on or they can get infected." He added, taking his seat back on the couch. Like a moron, I was staring at him until he patted the space beside him on the couch.
"Oh! Sorry!" I replied and sat down beside him. He started with my arms, then my legs. One after another, he took care of all of the wounds I had on my body. I got them all as someone dragged me back to the mansion like an animal.
"Looks like you got one on your chest as well." He spoke in a low tone, his cheeks turning a darker shade of pink. I lowered my gown a little, just so he could see the wound.
"Who the fuck bring me back here?" I asked angrily as he was cleaning the wound on my chest.
Sebastian turned to look at me and raised one of his brows. I gulped hard as that look of his sent chills to my stomach. "It's his fucking fault that I am wounded. And now I am supposed to do all the chores tomorrow with all these wounds on my body." I turned my face as I added to what I actually wanted to say. I knew my cheeks were burning. That's why I decided not to show him my face for a while.
"Oh! In that case, it's my stupid brother who believed that you were running away. That's why he brought you back like that. Anyways, you shouldn't worry about the chores. I will ask someone to get them done before your mother wakes up." Sebastian replied to my question and I couldn't help but smile. He was not just caring, but also kind and considerate.
"What if my mother found out?" I asked him and he chuckled.
"She will not. I promise. Anyways, what were you actually doing in the northern forest? Don't you know that place is packed with dangerous beings ready to kill and eat anything that goes in?" My heart sank in the pit of my stomach as I heard him. I was definitely not expecting that.
"I was hungry and the kitchen was locked. It's probably something my mother just started from the moment she saw me in the mansion." I replied to him in a low tone. But his words were echoing in my mind nonstop, making me nervous. I knew I had read about the wild shifters and rogues wandering around that forest. That's why the Dark Crescent Moon Pack had locked it up with a beware sign.
Sebastian looked at me for a moment then nodded his head. He was done with the wound on my chest and the one in my shoulder. "Yeah! She just locked the kitchen today, asking all the omegas to leave as the kitchen would stay closed until the morning." He informed me as he walked into the bathroom with the first aid kit.
I felt guilty for cursing the other brother in my heart when he actually saved my life. I would have been dead by now if I would have stepped a foot out of that treeline. "I need to apologize to him for every curse word that I thought of when he was bringing me back home. And also thank him for saving my life." I whispered to myself while slapping myself on the back of my head.
LOID'S POV:-
I was sitting on the roof of the mansion when a delicious scent reached my nostrils. It was the same scent that was keeping me awake at night. I looked down and found her walking out of the mansion. My eyes fell on her chest that she didn't cover at all. I turned my face away, she was still not an adult.
I was admiring the beauty when Sebastian started screaming in my mind through the mind link that she was running away. I tried to convince him that she was only going for a walk or something. But when he tried to wake up dad, I knew I had to intervene to save her.
"Shut the fuck up, you, moron. I am going after her." I growled at him through the mind link and jumped off of the roof. With my wolf reflex, I could jump from higher grounds and not get injured. But then again, everything had limits. I shut off the mind link and started following her scent.
She was a walking bar of chocolate. She smelled that delicious. I followed her scent to the part of the forest that was known to be the graveyard as no one ever came out alive from there. I grabbed her by her waist, placed my hand on her mouth and took her back home.
I left her at the door for Sebastian, asking him to tend to her wounds as I went back to kill the ghoul that had the taste of her delicious scent and was about to get out of the boundaries to have her. When I got back, I heard her talking to Sebastian. That bastard took all the credit like always.
She told him about the reason why she went into the forest. Her mother was a bitch. Feeding her one child while starving the other one, was just wrong. The whole time, her stomach was growling as I brought her back home. I went downstairs as I knew what I was supposed to do.
With a few kicks, the door of the kitchen was broken. All the lights were turned on and my father and his new mate came running to the kitchen. "Loud! What is your problem? Why would you do that?" My father had the audacity to ask me that question. Ever since he marked his new woman, he had turned into a coward. He was doing everything that she asked him to do without even considering thinking once about the right and wrong.
"Who the fuck locked this door? Don't you know I get hungry at night and come to get snacks? If I see the kitchen door lock again, I will break it just like that." I growled angrily while glaring at our new step mother. She was hiding behind my cowardly father. I walked into the kitchen, grabbed a pack of chips with orange juice and walked away. I dared not look at her, as I wa
s not sure what I would do. But from the corner of my eyes, I saw a small smile on her face.
SORA'S POV:-After eating something, I decided to go back to bed. I was still exhausted. I was shivering as the temperature dropped even more. "Why did you get out without anything warm? This is the Dark Crescent Moon pack, temperature drops here to minus ten at the beginning of winter. And since you don't have your wolf, you need warm clothes to keep yourself warm." Sebastian asked in a low tone. He was kind enough to stay with me until I had dinner and then he was walking me back to bed."I would if I could find them. I know I had my warm clothes in the bags. I can't find them anymore." I replied in a low tone and Sebastian stopped in his way."We brought all your stuff carefully. The beta's quarters were empty when we left." Hearing him, I smiled nervously and shook my head."No, I didn't mean to accuse you. I am saying I can't find them." I corrected myself as I didn't want to get into any trouble. After all, it's the promise I had made with Celeste. That I would behave until she
SORA'S POV:-I had tears in my eyes as I entered Loid's room holding the cleaning supplies. J was a warrior, for the love of the Moon goddess. They were treating me like their personal slave. I wiped my tears and tried to clean up his room as quickly as possible. After sweeping the floor, I went into his bathroom, carrying all of his laundry to his bathroom. I washed his bathroom then I stepped out. I frowned as I looked around. Did I put his clean clothes away as well? I asked myself while looking around. Shrugging my shoulders, I mopped the floor, set his bed then placed all his things back in their place. I looked at his room, which was completely clean. I looked at my dirtying clothes and a growl almost escaped my lips. I had pulled a decent pair of clothing out for the academy. I walked toward his bedroom door. As I stepped out, I found him leaning against the wall. The smirk on his face boiled my blood. I wanted to punch him in the face for ruining my day. Yet here he was, smi
SORA'S POV:-I came back home late that night. As I had guessed right about Loid. He was a jerk and an asshole. I was in my bathroom, soaking my body into the warm water. I had soaked some medical herbs in the warm water to help me with the soreness and my ache in my bones. He left me by dusk, alone at the field. Not that I was afraid or anything. But since I was just starting, he was supposed to be there to supervise me.He made me take laps, about ten times in six hours. And that too, he was not satisfied at five or ten laps. The training field that we were in, was thrice as big as a soccer ground. And he made me run a minimum thirty laps of the group and that was actually once. It was frustrating how a racist like him was supposed to be the trainer that I had. Except for me, the field was empty. It was appalling how not even a single woman on the pack wanted to even try and become one of the soldiers, or even try to be one of the guards in the Dark Crescent Moon Pack. That gave Loi
SORA'S POV:-When I was trying so hard not to mess up anything, I cursed my sister for being a bitch. She was my twin and the devil of my life. Sometimes I even wondered if our mother let a demon impregnate her because there was no way she was this evil without a demon's blood in her veins. I was struggling to open my eyes while my sister was enjoying my agony. She was tugging my long black hair so hard.My heart skipped a beat for no reason. Until I felt someone's presence in front of me. “What is going on here?” My throat went dry the moment Loid's voice echoed in my ears. Despite the burning sensation in my eyes, I forced my lids open to see the world. Everything was blurry. My heart sank in the pit of my stomach as I thought of going partially blind. In that case, I knew my dream of becoming a warrior would be ruined. “It's her fault. She didn't bring me the right drink.” Solana lied through her teeth so boldly. This was nothing new for me. She had been lying I guess since the mom
SORA'S POV:-In the morning, I arrived at the training field. As soon as I stepped in, Loid came growling at me. “Fifty laps of the ground, start running. And you have to finish before the clock ticks 9.” I frowned as I didn't understand the reason why he would be so angry. I sighed as there was no use of arguing with that man. I started running as fast as I could. I only had fifteen minutes to complete my laps.I expected to fall down at the thirtieth lap but it didn't happen. Yes, I was panting but so far, I was not as exhausted. Though, it took me five extra minutes to finish my fifty laps. “I thought you would be able to finish it off sooner. What a shame!” He growled at me, making me growl back at him.“We are practicing sparring today. Get rid of your extra clothing or it will only benefit me. Because I will be coming at you, hard.” He growled as he was wrapping his knuckles with the bandages. I pulled my jacket and the shirt off. I was left in my tank top and skinny sweats. Wh
SORA'S POV:-A few days later, after a long and tiring day at the academy, I stepped out and a wide smile appeared on my face. I found Alex waiting for me on his bike. As soon as I stepped out of the academy, he stood straight, holding a bouquet for me. My cheeks turned pink as I walked toward him. “What is all this?” I asked, keeping my voice extremely low. Though, it was useless since I was surrounded by werewolves.“Hi, to you too. Nice to see you again.” He whispered back, rolling his eyes at me. I couldn't help but giggle at the face Alex just made when he was annoyed. “Sorry!” I apologized and in response, he gently pinched my cheek. “I thought I should visit you, since you can hardly be found at home. You are either studying, doing chores or in the field, training with Loid.” Alex sounded annoyed yet again.“In a few days, you actually learned about my routine. I am impressed, Alex.” He chuckled as he listened to me. “What do you say? Shall we get out of here?” Alex asked me
SORA'S POV:-By the time I went back down, I found Solana standing with mom and feeding her lies. “She didn't complete her chores at all. And she went out.” I wanted to stop her because Alpha Cougar was with mom. He was glaring at me for some reason. So I decided to stay quiet and let Solana humiliate herself in front of the Alpha Cougar. Everyone went to the basement and I followed them. Solana was surprised to see the basement completely empty and clean. “Where is the laundry? Didn't you just say that Sora didn't do her chores?” Alpha Cougar growled at Solana angrily. It was amusing to watch her getting humiliated for once the way she had been humiliating me since I could actually remember.Solana was dumbfounded while she was trying to figure out what she could do. “I swear, she didn't do her chores. You can ask anyone around here. She came in late and went straight to her room. She didn't do anything at all.” My heart started pounding against my rib cage as her suggestions echoed
SORA'S POV:-Mom was glaring at Loid. She could no longer control her anger. After all, Loid had attacked her favorite daughter. She was in her defensive mode, standing in front of Solana. Fuming in anger, my mother growled at Loid “How dare you say…” though, Loid didn't let her complete her sentence.“Uh huh! Save your words. I am not in the mood!” Loid growled at mom and turned to me. “You have five minutes to go and get ready. Not a second more!” He growled at me and I quickly nodded my head. I was about to walk toward the entrance when mom grabbed me by my elbow and stopped me. “She will not leave until the kitchen is clean!” Mom growled at Loid while digging her nails in my flesh.I tried so hard not to cry. I was supposed to be brave like a warrior should be. Tears welled up in my eyes as I tried to free my arm from her hold. “And I just fucking told you to tell Solana to do it because Sora is coming with me on her first patrol. Don't make me call the Alpha to bring you to your
THIRD PERSON'S POV:-Sora gasped loudly as she sat up. Breathing heavily, Sora looked at her surroundings. She sighed in relief. There weren't any skinwalkers around. Sora knew that the Moon Goddess' seal was back in its place and all the skinwalkers had been sealed away. Her head was spinning and she could hear her blood pumping into her veins. Sora tried to stand up but she fell right back on my butt. Her head was spinning, Sora was dizzy. With all the strength that Sora could master, she stood up on her feet and made her way out of the woods. “Loid! Noah!” Sora called out loud as she made her way out. Sora stepped out on the road, trying to figure out where she was. Sora gasped loudly as she heard a loud honking from behind. She wanted to move away but her body froze. A car was approaching her fast.A few feet away from where Sora was standing, the car turned to the side, dodging her. It stopped a few feet away. Clutching onto her chest, Sora fell on the ground. A woman stepped ou
THIRD PERSON'S POV:-Loid and Sora were staring at Sebastian in utter shock. Noah was also staring at Sebastian but in confusion. “Sebastian! What is all this? Why are you here?” Loid growled at his brother. Loid knew what was happening, yet his brain didn't want to process that piece of information for the sake of his brother's well-being. Loid was surprised more than before when Sebastian started laughing at Loid.Noah stepped forward and took a better look at Sebastian's face. “Aren't you Sebastian Cougar, Loid's twin brother? What are you doing here?” Noah almost repeated the same question as Loid, but Sebastian couldn't stop laughing.“Why the fuck are you laughing, Sebastian? What is wrong with you?” Loud asked, growling at his brother this time. He was getting impatient because he could hear all the warriors screaming and fighting.“What's that, brother? Why is he so interested in you? Did you guys make out or something?” Instead of answering all the questions he was asked, Seb
SORA'S POV:-After clearing my head by walking aimlessly for a few hours, I finally decided to go back to the palace. I was already exhausted. I needed time to deal with everything. I decided not to stop by my father's chambers, as I knew well that he would be trying to convince me to let Noah mark me. I didn't want that. I didn't care about anything, not even that damn kingdom that didn't protect me when I needed protection from them. Why was I supposed to sacrifice when they needed it from me? They didn't do anything for me.I opened the bedroom and as soon as I stepped in, my breath hitched when I found both Noah and Loid sitting in the same bed. They had their pants on but their upper bodies were naked. “What are you both doing?” I growled at them both. I couldn't say if they were under any of Celeste's sick spells. I couldn't see anything, maybe because I was still recovering, I was unable to see it. Either way, I didn't want to even look at them.I was about to turn around and l
THIRD PERSON'S POV:-Several millennia ago, when The Moon goddess was living among all the creatures that lived in this magical realm, a chaos was ignited in between all the creatures. Aphrodite, the Goddess of love, lust and beauty, wanted to seduce the Moon and turn its powers to provide her with more beauty that could never be declined, even by God Zeus. The Moon Goddesses didn't want the Moon to lose its beauty and its powers. Especially when their powers were connected with it. Then came Goddess Selene, who wasn't connected with the moon but the Moon was connected with her powers. The moon was like a child to all the goddesses of the moon. Together, they refused Aphrodite's oblation. Goddess Selene, the Goddess of the Moon and all the shapeshifters, kicked Aphrodite out of her Temple when Aphrodite decided to use force against the Goddesses, to take away the silver light of the moon. She wanted to drink that silver light to become more beautiful than she already was. And Goddess
SORA'S POV:-The next morning, I was called by my father to meet him personally before the official meeting could have started. Nervously, I was staring at my reflection in the mirror. Loid stepped out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist. I couldn't help but lick my lips as I watched him. I heard him chuckle, that's when my eyes went up to his face. My cheeks turned red without the powdered blush. I had been caught red handed.Loud walked toward me and zipped up the long dark green dress I was wearing. “There is no need for you to feel nervous. I will be there with you. And I will be by your side no matter what happens. And I promise to never ask you anything about those abilities of yours again.” Loid whispered, his promise made me smile.Well, he had learned his lesson. And I was glad. I also helped him get dressed. After that, he grabbed my hand and pulled me outside of our bedroom. Although I was a little hungry, I knew I needed to talk to my father about the matter.
SORA'S POV:-I was excited to spend some alone time with my maye. It felt like ages since we had sat together like that and talked nonsense. And laughed at stupid things that we talked about. Loud helped me down on the ground, then Loid walked away, to look for the fresh red apples, just the way I liked them. My heart was beating so face in excitement. It was finally at ease that we were no longer in trouble. “Hey! Are you lost, little girl? How old are you? Where are your parents?” I frowned in confusion when I heard Loid's voice not from afar.I looked up and my heart almost stopped for a few seconds as I looked at the dark creature that was standing in front of Loid, glaring at him with its eyes filled with blood lust for Loid. Terror gripped my heart and my body was suddenly so cold. As if I had frozen in my place, and was unable to move.“Don't be afraid, sweetie! I will not hurt you. Are you lost? Let me help you find your parents.” Loid tried to talk to that thing in his gentle
SORA'S POV:-I couldn't bear that pain in my chest. I couldn't bear that scene playing again and again in my head. I wanted to get out of there because I felt suffocated in between the walls of the huge palace that belonged to my father. I hated that place. Before we came to the palace, I had everything that I needed. I had my mate who loved me so much. I had a home and a family that I always wanted. But since I became the lost princess of the werewolf kingdom, I became the poorest of all.My heart was burning in flames of rage and jealousy. I was his mate. It was natural. When I didn't even look at another man, I found him kissing his ex. “Sora! Wait!” I heard Loid calling me from behind. I already knew that he was running after me. But I didn't want to respond to him. I didn't even want to see him.“Sora! I said wait!” Loid called again from behind. I wiped my tears as I ran deeper and deeper into the woods. Just then, he grabbed my hand from behind and I gasped loudly when I was pu
THIRD PERSON'S POV:-Loid went for a run after leaving Sora at the Alpha King's Chambers. His mind just couldn't rest. He wanted to know everything about his mate. After all, they were soul mates. There was not supposed to be any secrets between soul mates. After running for miles, then showering and even after having his evening snacks, he couldn't stop thinking about that secret Sora was hiding from him. At last, he decided to go to the library and read some good books that could help him take his mind off of things. To his luck, he found a perfect book to keep his mind off of everything that was bothering him. It was a book about history and warfare. With a warm cup of ginger tea, he sat down on a desk and began reading the book. His mind finally found something else to focus on and his insides were quiet for a while. Loid felt peace that he had lost since he figured out that Sora had been lying to him about her abilities. He was busy flipping pages one after another when a famili
SORA'S POV:-I almost wanted to laugh when I heard my father trying to cover up his bigger curse word with a smaller one. But the discussion we were having was way too serious. I couldn't just laugh while discussing something serious. I might be his daughter and to him I was his lost little girl but in reality, I was a grown woman with a mate and a pack that I was ruling with my mate as their Luna. I had some boundaries that I couldn't cross, like ever.So I took a deep breath and grabbed the cup of tea from the table and took a sip. It wasn't as hot but enough to keep me from laughing out hard in front of my father. “I don't understand. You said she didn't want kids. But then you said that Solana was older than me. I don't understand.” I tried to change the conversation. Of course, I wanted answers. All the questions in my head, I wanted them to stop screaming.I heard my father sigh. “Well, that's what she told me the first night when we were supposed to mate. I was considerate. The
