"I may be heartless,but you're naive"
Her King's Point Of View
King Calix had seen a lot... experienced a lot. He had his fair share of beautiful women who would throw themselves at him. None of them were anything serious. He didn't feel anything for them. They were only there when work became too frustrating.
He wasn't waiting for that magical time when he would find his mate. Having the person you’re destined to be with meant having to trust and confide. He had things from his past he swore to himself he’d never tell. He wouldn’t share his pain and all of the times when he would cry himself to sleep because he hated his existence. He didn’t need to be a burden to anyone else or anyone else be a burden to him. He carried too many sins, more didn’t have to be added to the growing pile. It wasn't until a week ago that his wolf started craving his mate. The feeling of longing followed him to sleep every night.
He himself started getting frustrated at the animal within him. His solution was simple. He decided to start searching for a companion. Something far more easy than searching for a mate he didn't even want.
"Right this way, my King" His Gamma distracted him from his thoughts. The man started unlocking the wooden door in front of them. The only thing separating him from a possible partner.
A frown came upon his face as his nose picked up a sudden sweet, intoxicating scent. He couldn't quite place what it was, but he soon came to realize that it was his favorite scent. Oddly enough, his wolf calmed down at the sudden fragrance.
When the door was finally open, both men were met with pairs of different colored eyes staring at them with fear.
A sense of satisfaction and pride settled deep into the King's guts. He rejoiced in the idea of the submissive females who feared him, therefore would do anything he asked.
His eyes skimmed over the different young ladies before settling on a particular short fragile looking one. Her head tilted down in respect and submission but just barely.
This angered Calix. How dare she defy him? Not many people wouldn’t ever do such a thing which lead the King to think the following words. Brave little one.
She was trying to fight her urges. It didn't take long before he realized that she was the source of the exquisite smell. He had found his mate. Of course, it couldn't be more obvious.
The beast inside him howled in glee, running around and tripping like a little pup in the back of king Calix's mind. He felt a smirk start on his lips as he saw how his tiny mate slightly shifted uneasily when she realized his eyes on her.
Calix knew the girl could feel him burning holes on her. He enjoyed the effect he possessed on her.
Her hair was pale blonde, almost white. He had only seen such hair color once and he really wished he wasn't seeing it again. Memories are a pain. Her eyes were a baby blue and her nose seemed to be littered with small freckles. At least that much he could tell, other than her being tiny.
He almost felt bad for how he was thinking a while later about making his mate suffer if he ever found her. He didn't know she would look like this.
She seemed to be a feisty one at heart, but a weakling physically. She dared to take a peak through her black eyelashes, giving him a slight glare. Surprisingly, instead of getting angry at her, he felt extremely amused. This little thing thought a glare would do something to him.
The thought was laughable.
All in all, she honestly reminded Calix of a wild flower. One that he unfortunately wanted to crush, though the thought of hurting her just didn't appeal to him as much anymore.
The king took notice of how she stepped closer to an older female who was standing beside her as Calix decided to come closer to her. He grabbed her chin in a firm hold, trying not to hurt her just yet.
Now she was looking intently at him. Her breath would caress his face as she inhaled and exhaled. He also felt how her breathing hitched when his thumb involuntarily started tracing small circles on her rosy cheek.
"So soft" he murmured, a frown was placed upon his face. He couldn't find it in him to just leave her or pick another companion. Even though he still felt betrayed by her, he was too selfish to leave her here.
Maybe he could take her with him, but not interact with her. Easier said than done and he knew it. He could try.
He made sure his eyes didn't portrait anything he was feeling before turning to his gamma with a cold glare.
"I'm taking her with me" His voice was low, intentionally keeping it that way so no one else could hear him.
King Calix turned around again and faced the girl. She was looking at him curiously with her head tilted to the side. She was examining him.
His hand grabbed hers in a tight grip, maybe too tightly. With a tug, he tried to pull her with him.
She struggled to pull away, reaching out to grab onto the brunette from earlier.
"Let me go!" Her voice sounded like a melody to Calix, though not with the best lyrics.
The girl tried to free herself again and run into the arms of the other girl who was crying. Great! She’s a crybaby.
Calix got fed up with all the fuzz and struggle this little flower was doing. With a roll of his eyes, he picked her up bridal style.
His beast was enjoying every second of it while Calix wanted to put her down and make the annoying sparks he felt, stop.
He saw how tears spilled down her now fiery red cheeks, but he couldn't care less. His tiny mate ended up falling asleep with her face buried in his chest.
Calix couldn't help but feel comforted at her actions. He felt at peace with her and that's what fueled his anger. He looked down at the little flower he was currently holding, a single question bothering him.
Why'd you decide to come now?
"In the darkness, two shadows, reaching through the hopeless, heavy dusk.Their hands meet, and lights flood like a hundred golden urns pouring out of the sun" His Flower's Point Of View I couldn't fall back asleep. As soon as I opened my eyes I found myself trapped. A hand was draped around my waist, keeping me from moving. He took me. He actually took me. My mind kept going back to when his eyes were intently studying me. A dark look suddenly taking over for a second. This man scared me.

His beast was restless and wouldn't stop whining. He knew what he had to do in order for that to stop, but he refused to. He wouldn't cave so easily to the mate bond. The fact that she felt so good tugged away in his arms couldn't be denied either. He couldn't deny the fact that he wanted her there again. She was in the other s
"They call us dreamers, but we're the ones that don't sleep"His Flower's Point Of ViewAfter King Calix left, a girl that looked like a female version of him came through the doors. I tried to hide under the covers, but she had already spotted me. A huge smile took over her face when she saw me. I wanted to cover my face with my hands and shield the tears that had dried. She came towards me with a slight bounce to her steps, her eyes never leaving mine and her smile never faltering.
"Tell the wolves I'm home" Her King's Point Of View 3rd POVHis wolf was going frantic now. He'd put guards all over the castle, but apparently none were there when she went to the dungeons and then out. Of course they escaped. He should've locked his little mate as well."Get the trackers to track them down and the warriors to also go looking for them. We will find them" Lilo quickly nodded and walked away, but not before taking notice of how he looked slightly worried.
"I just wish I wasn't in the verge of death for you to realize you want me" His Flower's Point Of ViewI wanted to cry in frustration and fear. I was surrounded by darkness and I couldn't escape it. My body was aching and I couldn't tend to it. I was scared and no one was there to help me. I felt like collapsing but an unknown force wouldn't let me.I felt a tear roll down my cheek, but no sound came out of my mouth. A heavy longing towards my sister was present, but an even bigger one for how everything was when life was simpler.
"You've seen my descent. Now watch my rising"Her King's Point Of View3rd POVNothing was working. Calix was still restless after a week. Rosalya wasn't waking up. She was still in a coma. The pack doctor had said that it was a medical induced coma so she could recover better. It was up to her, really. Her sister wasn't any better. They were both so close to death. The thought angered him. He had ordered for the rest of the rogues to be chased away and those who wanted a fight were the ones who got a fight.
"The rose was dying, but the beast did everything to save it"His Flower's Point Of ViewHe wasn't there. I woke up and the King was nowhere in sight. Was it something relieving or saddening? I rolled my eyes at the question. Of course it was a relieve. It had been about half an hour after I woke up pained and disoriented. My pained cries were what alerted the nurses of my waking. The events then came rushing in minutes later, leaving me in pure horror. I tried to stand up and start searching for my sister, but my doctor wouldn't allow it. Apparently,
"Don't hate the player,Hate the game"Her King's Point Of View3rd point of viewAs expected, Rosie's face was a mix of shock and horror. She was just a tiny little human as the King's mate so he wasn't really expecting anything else. She took a minute to comprehend what Calix had just said, but as soon as it clicked into place she jumped up from the bed and started to make a run for the door. Calix sighed and resisted the urge to face palm. It's not like she would make it far anyways.
