“Are you really our dad?” Earl asked in a low voice.

“Yes.”

“Are you sure? Momma may be lying.”

“Momma's not a liar, Earl,” Lottie piped up angrily. But her brother ignored her.

“Are you rich? Momma might be lying and told you we are your children so she can have your money.”

Elizabeth felt her heart drop. Did her child just think of her as a gold digger? Should she take him back to her womb?!

“Momma raised you well,” Wulfric said proudly. A smirk tugged at the corners of his lips.

“You should do DNA testing, Sir.”

Wulfric couldn’t help but chuckle softly at that moment. He messed Earl’s hair with pride as if he had just found a mini version of himself.
