If Flameheart was dumbfounded by Nyaminyami's revelation, then his uncle was worse off. Not only was he shocked but he looked scared to an extent and utterly grief stricken. His grief was almost palpable.

Arthur's eyes widened in shock as Nyaminyami's words sank in. He stumbled backward, his mind reeling with the revelation. "No... it can't be," he whispered, his voice trembling. "I had a mate? Agatha? The leader of the Protectors?" He looked at Flameheart, seeking confirmation, but his godson's expression only mirrored his own shock.

Nyaminyami's grip on Arthur's forehead tightened, and the air around them began to shimmer. The water serpentine's hissing grew louder, and the scales on his body rattled in a mesmerizing rhythm. Arthur felt himself being pulled into a vortex, the world around him blurring.
