Chapter 11

Elsa was so terrified that she collapsed onto the floor. Throwing highly concentrated acid on her face would mean disfigurement. It was no different than killing her.

She begged for mercy, but Xavier's knife was already at her throat. Left with no choice, she sobbed miserably and poured the acid onto her own face.

As I listened to her agonizing screams, I walked out of the hospital room with a sense of immense satisfaction.

Just then, Athena video-called me. She whined sweetly that she wanted to come live in the city where I grew up for a while.

I smiled and agreed, only to realize Xavier had been standing somewhere behind me at some point.

He had a complicated expression on his face as he asked, "Who's that in the video call?"

"Your daughter." I calmly dropped the bombshell.

I wanted him to experience the pain of never seeing his own daughter in this lifetime.
