CHAPTER 194

PRECIOUS

I opened the door to find Ruby with a worried look on her face. Her hands were wrapped around her body, with her right leg crossed over the other. I smiled, thinking about a particular person who used to have this posture.

“Hi, I need to talk to you.” I frowned, not liking that she didn't ask. Thoughts about how she had acted earlier crossed my mind but I quickly shoved it to the side, reminding myself that I was Luna so I needed to be calm and collected.

“Luna, yes, but don't let her trample on us.” Michelle snorted.

“As if she could,” I told her, before giving Ruby a smile that didn't reach my eyes. I made way for her to come in and I shut the door after she did.

She went and sat on my bed and I sat down beside her, letting my back lean on the wall with my legs resting back on the bed.

She shifted so that her eyes were scanning my face and after a moment passed by and I did not hear her say anything, I gave a light cough and watched her give me a wry smile.
