Chapter 46 - The End is the Beginning

The night was chilly. The chilly night howled through the open window of Lucas’ room. Lucas was fast asleep. He was alone in the apartment as his father has gone hunting. After meeting with witch Eva, he had taken the hunting path to make sure his lovely city is safe again. He believes he could keep his city safe by hunting down the werewolves.

Something about the neighborhood didn’t feel right that night. It was as if something was prowling the dark alleyways in search of some helpless prey.

“Help me! Help me… Someone help me…”

A desperate cry was followed by fisted knocks on the wooden front door of Lucas’ apartment. It was dark inside Lucas’ room and for a moment he thought he was having a series of dreams.

“Help me!”

There was no doubt now. It was the terrified cry of a man who sounded like he was nearly out of breath.
