Escaping the city

Helga's POV

I am afraid to stay in this city. I do not know what will happen to us when we don't have any blood left. I know my parents have had most of the blood for themselves. I have to try to escape the city. The troops we send out to find us food do not return. We know that the way it works, and my brother is behind it. They want to starve us in this city. I fear leaving the city but know I must escape it before things get violent. The vampires will revolt against us if they don't get food.
