Third Person's POV Tamara stares at Dean, not knowing how to start talking to him. Dean leans against a tree, looking at his mate. He waits for her to speak, but he thinks they need to find a place to talk without the vampire possibly hearing them. Dean feels that he needs to take Tamara to a safe place, knowing she will not put her feet on the Red River Pack's ground. "We need a safe place to talk," Tamara says. She does not sound friendly, but she also does not sound as rude as always. "Where can we go?" Dean asks. "I know these woods very well. However, I think the vampire knows these woods just as well," Tamara says. "We can go and talk at my Packhouse," Dean says. He knows that Tamara will refuse even before she answers him. "Nope, I'm not going back to your Pack ever again. We will work together, but that is it. I am not joining the Pack again and will not become your Luna. The day I left, I promised never to put my feet on your grounds again, and I will not break that pr
Tamara's POV The following morning, I run to the gypsies' camp to find out what they know about the humans and hunters, and I need to find out what they know about the lab. The gypsies can look into the future with their glass balls and read one's palm. I know that I have magical powers that they hardly use. If they use it, they only use it for good and to help humans and other creatures that are children of the Moon Goddess. I know they will never betray us, and they will never go against the werewolf. They know the werewolves are the children of the Moon Goddess. As I run into the camp, Gazelle is waiting for me. She always knows when I am coming to visit, and I do not know how she knows it, but I think it is because she can see into the future. "Tamara, I expected you earlier, but you were late today. I am glad you are here, as we have problems in this area. And you know what I am talking about. I know you are worried about the original vampires and what they are really doing here
Tamara's POVGazelle and I ran back to our Pack. We know we are safe because all the other smaller Packs have already been taken out, or at least their Alpas have been taken away. Leon would have come after our Pack if he knew where we were. I know we will have to go and meet Dean and tell him what is happening. I also know that we will have to tell him where the lab is because we will have to go and scout it out. We must know how many men there are and how many hunters I have. I do not understand why the vampires want to know where the lab is. I am sure they already know where it is and do not want to tell us because they hide something from us. Maybe they want us to find it ourselves so that we can attack it. And I do not have to. I don't know what is happening here and want to find out. I wouldn't say I like that werewolves are being experimented on or maybe used to do other people's dirty work. I am baffled about everything that is going on. And I do not know why Leon, a gypsy, w
Tamara's POVI still do not know if I can believe the vampires or even if I can believe Dean. What are they all up to? Dean is trying to get me on my back to join him. And he thinks that I will become his Luna. He is making a big mistake because I will not go and live at the Red River Pack. It will only be because we all have to communicate without the humans and hunters picking up on our communication. I know that Gazelle is correct that we need another communication method and cannot use cell phones or two-way radios. Mind link is the best way for us to communicate, but it does not mean I will have to go and stay with Dean and his Pack. I will have to explain this to my Pack, as they are not fans of the Red River Pack. I am not looking forward to having this talk with you with my Pack. Miriam will also have to protect the Red River Pack, and she is unhappy about that. Miriam was part of the meeting that took place in the opening in the middle of the woods. She knows exactly what is
Dean's POVI wait for Tamara at the place we always meet. I hope she and her Pack has decided to join us. We can do with their help, and we need their magical protection. Miriam has promised to protect us, but I do not know if she has kept the promise—so far, the hunters and humans have not detected us, although we were near the lab earlier. I wanted to look around and familiarize myself with the territory around the lab before I took Tamara and her Pack with me there. I know it is very dangerous and that humans and hunters can detect us at any moment, but we must take that chance to see what is happening there. We could not get too close because they were moving around a lot around the camp, and I could not see any of the werewolves they had taken. They must keep the werewolves inside the laboratory where they are experimenting on them or using them to turn humans into super creatures. I wouldn't say I like either one of the ideas. One will never know. Maybe there are only using the
Tamara's POVNow that all the formalities are over and we have moved in and decided where all of us will stay, we must go out to scout. We need to get familiar with the territory around the new Pack, and we will have to go in groups of ten at least. Dean and I have problems deciding who is going in what group. We know that we will have to put our wolves together so that they can learn to trust each other. We will have to mix them, and I want Miriam to go with some of these other warriors, while Dean wants her to go with Martin. I know for a fact that Miriam does not want to go near Martin. I know that there are mates, but I know that Miriam is not ready to admit it. She does not want to allow Martin to be with her alone. She is so very angry with him because of what he did to her when they were together in school. She needs to get over her anger before she and Martin go with other wolves to scout. I know they will always fight, and I do not want that because they will have to be very
Third person's POV The Wolves have decided to start practicing the following morning. The gypsies decide it is time to make the two Packs realize they have become one. So they organize a party. Gazelle can feel that there is still tension in the Pack, and Gazelle can feel that Dean and Tamara are not on the same page. She thinks the two of them might have had a fight or something, but it looks like they are not on speaking terms. Dean and his wolves sit around a fire while Tamara and her wolves sit on the other side of the Packhouse on the grass, relaxing and talking. This is utter nonsense. They need to start working together. They cannot let their wolves stay divided. It is time that the two of them grow up! "Party time, come on, all you wolves! Don't just sit around there like everybody is about to get killed. Tonight we are going to sing and dance and enjoy ourselves. And we will give ourselves a chance to get to know each other. Tomorrow, you will be training very hard. But ton
Tamara's POV The night when everybody seemed to get the long better the next day. Martin and Mariam seem to be joined by the hip. It is as if they cannot leave each other alone, and I am not jealous, but damn, they are irritating now that they are in love and mates. They want to do everything together, and they want to train together. I leave them to do whatever they want because I am not in the mood for people in love around me all the time. They look thrilled, and I know that Miriam deserves it. I hope that Martin will not hurt her. If he hurts her, I will kick his ass. I am just being skeptical, but I know that Martin loves Miriam. I can see it in how he handles and fights against her. He's not even using half his power as he fears hurting her. "There seemed to be happy. You cannot protect everyone, Tamara. I know you want to protect Miriam against Martin, but let me tell you one thing. They are in love, and I do not think Martin will hurt her, and he looks like he is very in lo
