Cali
“So, what’s the plan for today?” Amber asked from the other side of the table in the dinning room, her eyes flitting between Tristan, Roman and I.
“I need to get Cali caught up on what’s been going on this morning. You mentioned that you had started looking at plans for Christmas?” He queried looking to me and I nodded with my mouth full of eggs.
Food had never seemed to taste so good. The med the doc gave me for sickness were like a miracle cure, honestly within ten minutes of taking one the queasiness had vanished, and I felt ravenous.
“It might be time we all start putting a little effort into it. It will be nice to plan something we can look forward to, besides we need to try and get a little normality back around here.” He continued before sipping from his coffee.
It was nice eating breakfast together. Damian had apparently been up until the early
CaliTristan and I spent the better part of the morning going through pack business and catching up on everything that had gone on. Most of the worry in relation to the northern pack was resolved, baring the fact that not the whole pack had been in attendance. The beta, around twenty wolves, all of the she-wolves and children had stayed back with the pack. The guys couldn’t determine if they were still a threat or not, considering the whole war was based on the Alpha’s vendetta, Tristan had no idea if the Beta would continue on with the threats and attacks or if he would give it up and none of the men that were captured knew much about the beta other than that he too carried out the alphas bidding. So, for now at least the pack was treading with caution but we were optimistic that we had seen the end of the threat. Now we just had to figure out what to do with all of the captives and the leaders we had in custody.Tristan also
CaliAs it turned out the best time to go Christmas shopping was that next Saturday, it was the only day that I had completely free in the calendar. So, with a little bit of childish excitement Amber and I arranged to go shopping with Freya and Ambers friend Cora, with two of the pack warriors in tow of course. The town was busier than I had ever seen it before, with residents all out enjoying the early winter day sopping with family, lunching with friends. Everyone seemed at ease, relaxed and happy and it was a wonderful sight to see given how life had been over the last couple of months. We visited almost every shop inn the town and by the time we sat in the dinner all three of us were feeling slightly exhausted.“Well, at least we don’t have to do this again.” Amber muttered shaking off the cramp in her hand from carrying so many bags. “Are you both sure you have everything?”
CaliIt was strange. Almost my whole life I had wished to be able to do this, go out for lunch with friends like a normal she-wolf and one of the first times I had the chance I sat here almost the entire time wishing I could leave. I guess it really does show you to be careful of the things you wish for and that priorities really do change.I suffered through almost an hour in the dinner before the Warriors gave me the signal and I made my apologies to Cora, stating that something had come up at the pack house that required our attention.I tried not to bounce my leg for the ten minutes it took for Amber and Cora to arrange another day out and say goodbye before we all departed in different directions.“I’m sorry, I didn’t want to let on to the importance of what’s happening.” Amber stated quietly as we exited the diner and made our way to the car with eth warriors in tow. Once we
CaliI was a little bit amazed that Damian hadn’t split his knuckles yet. I had never really watched a man work out before but even still I doubted that they usually attacked the bag with such gusto. He was trying to get the frustration out, I got that but at the same time I wished there was an easier way.‘They found a trail, they are following now, we’re only five minutes behind.’ Tristan’s voice sounded in my head before the link disconnected as quickly as it came. He didn’t have time for chit chat he was just keeping me up to date. Not wanting to interrupt Damian while he seemed to be somewhat coping, I kept the information to myself and simply sat and watched as he continued to pound his fists into the leather.I couldn’t help but wonder though, if this is what Tristan was like when I was taken and I vowed then and there to be extra cautious in future, God I would do anything I cou
Cali As soon as the bedroom door closed Tristan’s arms were around me in an embrace so tight that I could barely breath until he pulled back and cupped my face in his hands. “I hate to say it, but I don’t know how I would cope if that was you missing. Fuck Cali. I can’t lose you, and horrible as today was I think it took this reminder for me to realise just how much I look forward to seeing you every day, how much I love you being a part of my life. I need you to stay safe baby, I need you to be careful until I figure out what the fuck is going on with all of this shit.” He stated dropping his hands and waking further into the room before perching on the edge of the bed. “I thought we were clear of it, that this was sorted. But that bastard was taking her somewhere.” “Did we get him?” I asked and Tristan nodded. “He’s back down in the cells with two warriors stationed at his door but he’s in a bad
Cali“Do something, bring her back.” Damian half demanded half pleaded with Tristan as soon as the three of us entered the otherwise empty main living room.“I can’t Dai, I can’t make her come back.”“Of course, you can, use your Alpha aura.”“And if I did that, I would be no better than the people that took her in the first place.”“I can’t…” Damian started slumping into the sofa and practically hiding his face in his hands. “I can’t lose her Tris.”“I know. Believe me I know. So, lets help her, let’s get this shit with the traffickers wrapped up so she can come home.” Tristan stated taking the seat opposite his delta as I continued to stand just inside the doorway. “What do we know?”“Not a whole hell of a lot.” Damian exclaimed flinging his arms
CaliThe following day found the whole pack house a little subdued, Amber and Roman still weren’t talking to each other, Damian had left with Jackson and a team of warriors to go in search of the traffickers and Tristan spent most of the morning locked in his office prepping for the conference call he had set up between the alliance pack alphas for that afternoon which left me wondering a mostly empty pack house.I had offered to pick up some of the duties for Tristan, but he declined adamantly, saying I deserved some time to myself, to relax, only I once again found myself a little lost, not really knowing how to sit still. There was once a time when I relished the thought of laying on my bed at my parents’ house and just being, listening to music or watching a movie, lately however I couldn’t seem to sit still long enough.Eventually I found myself in the pack library searching through the s
CaliWe made it to Tristan's office just in time for the conference call and I dropped into the visitor’s chair beside Tristan's desk as he set up the call, trying to focus on the task at hand rather than the need that coursed through me. But I couldn't seem to rid myself of the thoughts that ran through my head, memories, images. Tristan naked, his muscled body, his dark eyes, his rough hands, his warm mouth, his skin pressed against mine, his hands skimming my body. The need was almost unbearable at this point, and I couldn't keep my eyes off my mate, I watched as the muscles in his arms flexed, his t-shirt pulling taught as he twisted while setting everything up on the desk, I rubbed my legs together, shifting in the chair trying to relieve just the slightest bit of ache.I had never felt desire like this before, it had never been this extreme, this consuming and I found myself sitting in the chair unable to keep still as I tried in Vain t
