I closed my eyes, pushing the memory from my mind. No one was harmed. I was blessed to have Silver and Elizabeth in my life. I had recalled everything that happened to me in Witch Academy. Justice's mother helped me and was staying with her son in the Academy. She took the job of teaching happily. Justice convinced her to help me and stay with him. I wished them luck and happiness. I was also thankful to Lonan. He was Samantha's mate.
I was going to visit my father. I wouldn't have thought of doing it. But Samantha needed help. I had noticed she was a quiet person after she lost her wolf.
"We have a deadline. Are you aware, pumpkin?" Drake asked me. He was driving me to his home. I was nervous about facing Katherine. I should think about it before calling Drake and asking him to drive me to his home.
"Yes, seven days to find the light angel who's going to help us." Drake has talked to a shadow Hunter who told us how to access half-demon, " These things would protect me against the curse but can't reverse it." I paused, "Wind of light!"
"We'll find another way to reverse the curse." He glanced at me. His gaze was questioning. He didn't ask me. Why did I want to visit? He just agreed. The question was over the tip of his tongue.
"I know," I said. Impossible would be nothing when you have loving and caring people in your life.
"You haven't spoken to mom. It has been two days." He said, turning the wheel to his land.
"I don't wanna talk about it now. I have a lot of things to take care of and bother about." I didn't want to talk about them.
"They must have been worried sick," he said.
I shrugged my shoulders, clearly telling him I didn't want to talk.
"Is Lance home? You informed him, right?" Panic flared in my chest. I was doing something out of my comfort zone. I hadn't forgotten the bad days of our life. My mother was always frightened.
"Yes. You can tell me anything." He said.
"I'd be glad if you won't freak out. " I said.
His eyebrows shot up, his hair over the forehead almost hiding them. Would it be better to tell him, in front of both Alpha or should I tell him now?
"I won't freak out. You know." He said.
I nodded, "Lonan is Samantha's mate," I kept my gaze on him. He didn't react, "So you knew." I pursed my lips.
"Yes, she smelled like him." He said.
"Shouldn't we help her?" I asked him.
"You're going to tell dad about them." He asked.
"Yes, she should be happy in her life," I told him.
"She tried to kill you. She'd do it again once she gained the power." He said in exasperation.
"She would have done it if she wanted to." I told him.
"What do you mean?" His lips tightened.
"I was alone with her. She could have hurt me again. She didn't."
"She's not powerful." He shook his head.
" She knows the way of killing better than me."
He let out a heavy breath. He did not reply and continued driving. He swiped the back of his hand on his forehead to wipe the sweat.
"You can turn off the heat," I said.
He shook his head, "We're home." He pulled over the car.
"Are you coming?" I asked, opening the door.
"Yes," He said.
"You don't need to babysit me," I told him.
"I'm not babysitting you. I need to collect some books." He said, unbuckling the seatbelt.
It was just an excuse. He didn't trust Katherine and Samantha. He locked his car. I breathed deeply, forcing down the rising emotions. It was hard to forget when someone hurts you and weren't certain I could do this. After sorting Samantha's problem, I needed to focus on my life, the curse. There must be a hidden motive, I hadn't tried to know why I was cursed. I should ask my parents. For as long as I remember, I didn't remember anyone cursing me. When did it happen?
"Good afternoon, Drake." The maid greeted him and smiled at my side, "Welcome to Dawson mansion, Emma. "
"Hello, how are you, ma'am?" I asked with a smile.
She giggled and nodded her head, "I'm fine, Miss Dawson. Mr. Dawson is in the library. He has asked not to disturb him." She said.
"Thanks for letting me know, Rhiannon," Drake replied.
"Do you want something to eat?" She asked as we walked past the staircase.
"Yes, burgers for us and hot chocolate, please." He said and we walked toward the library.
I could see Lance sitting behind his large desk, many books and files were piled over it, "Hi," I said cheerfully. I couldn't decide about his demand.
"Emersyn, what a pleasant surprise?" He got on his feet with a giant smile on his face as he rounded the desk. He took me in an embrace.
It was less awkward than the first time, when I met him. They tried to understand me. I needed time. I had spent my childhood thinking about only one question. Why wasn't he with us? "Drake didn't tell me." He said.
I took a large step back, pushing the awkwardness away. I forced my smile not to drain.
"She suddenly asked me to come with her." Drake pulled the chair and settled in. He pulled out a red file from the heap and began to study it.
"I'm here to talk about Samantha," I said.
His brows pulled together in exasperation, "Did she do something?" His tone turned cold.
"No, um..." I glanced at Drake for help but he kept his gaze on the file, "We should invite Lonan for dinner." I smiled my best, hoping it would push away his frown.
"Do you know anything about it, son? " He asked him as his head turned to him.
"Hm, they're mates," Drake said without lifting his head.
"She needs to be happy in her life. I have seen her with him. They look great together." I said.
"Shouldn't she tell herself to us?" I could see anger replacing his calm features.
"Can't you forget What she did to me? "I asked.
" Can you forget?" He asked, lowering his chin, looking in my eyes.
"I wouldn't be here then, " I said. I was trying to look at them as parents every child wished. Their misunderstanding should be limited to them. I was trying.
"I'll invite him this weekend to dinner." He said.
I smiled fully, "Thank you."
"Try to call me dad," He said.
It felt impossible but I wasn't making any promise. But I nodded my head. His smile returned.
I grabbed a book randomly and hit on his shoulder, "You're worse brother."
He curled his arm around my neck and tugged me down and rubbed his elbow on my head. The library filled with our laughs, "I'll get bald. Leave my hair." I said between laughs.
He kissed my head, "I'll figure out something, kiddo."
I hit him again, "It's you. Because of you, everyone is saying to me - kiddo."
"It's a nice word." He got on his feet, towering over me.
Lance was laughing behind us. It was a beautiful moment.
"I brought you burgers, kids," Rhiannon said, pacing in the library. She placed the tray on the coffee table, "I brought you coffee, Mr. Dawson." She said with a bow and turned to the door.
"Thank you, Mrs. Anderson," Lance said.
"Thanks, Rhiannon," I giggled.
"Enjoy your meal, kids," She said again and walked out.
I erupted into a loud laugh glancing at Drake's face. His expression said he didn't like her calling him kid.
"Now you know. How does it feel?" I giggled.
"No matter how old you are," Lance said, gleefully. He grabbed the cup.
"We know that. Come, pumpkin," He drew me curling his arm around my neck, "Let's eat." He said.
I could hope. Samantha wouldn't freak out and wouldn't accuse me of interfering in her life. I settled down on the chair and stared at the delicious food.
"You're going to love her cooked food." He said and held out the tray for me. Randomly, I picked the burger. It smelled delicious. I wasn't letting my guards down when Lance was around. I respected him, as an incredible Alpha.

My eyelids started to droop. I closed them tight and opened them again. I let out a slow breath. I should go and take a nap.
My eyes drifted away, I froze in my path to my house. His house was now my house. I loved to stay there. I didn't know. Would I live or die? But I wanted to spend my last breath around him. Well, Alessandro hadn't returned yet.
I stared at them in shock, completely blown away. I spun to run away.
"Emma," My mother called out my name loudly.
I couldn't run away. I couldn't move after witnessing her explicable smile. I don't get to choose what would happen in my life next? I turned slowly when I guessed she was near me.
Her eyes were widened with anticipation, but her smile was highlighting her innocent look. I shouldn't fall into a trap.
"You were with your father. I'm glad you're..." I cut her middle sentence. Charles was standing behind her.
"Are you here to hit me again?" I asked.
"Sweetie, that was by mistake. I didn't want to hit you." She said, lifting her hand to touch my cheek.
I stepped back, "Yeah, I got that." I made my way toward the house.
"Emma, your mother is talking to you. It's not..."
"Yeah, good manners. Got it, Charles," I shook my head. Clearly telling them, I didn't wanna talk. Her face screwed up in disbelief. She should give me more time. She couldn't do this every time.
I pushed open the door and swept inside. I kept the door ajar open. So they could come in if they wanted to.
Elizabeth and Silver were out to get information about the last quest. They refused to take me with them. I was feeling drained. But I was feeling better.
"Are you staying here? You should come home." mom said.
"It's my home," I said and waited for her taunt as I whirled to face them.
There were tears in my mother's eyes. S***! I hated to do this to her, "I didn't mean to hurt you, mom. But it's true." I cast my head down.
I felt her hand on my shoulder, "We have just one weak. We don't know what will happen next. You're my daughter. I don't know what will happen after a week. You're destined to be with him. We would hardly see you. Stay with us, sweetie. I shouldn't say all that." She began to sob softly. Her hand slid away, making me feel worse, Charles hugged her. He stroked the back of her head and muttered the language I couldn't understand.
Is she worried that I will die or I'll never return from the Dark realm? She's my mother. It was obvious.
"If you promise me to not hit me again. I can come but only for five days." I told her.
She lifted her head from his shoulder, "I promise," She drew her steps back, halting in front of me. Her face was tomato red, she glanced at the ground.
Great! There's more to come.
"Say it, mom," I said, wandering into the hall.
"Yes!" She gazed at Charles from the corners of her eyes. He nodded his head flashing a soft smile, "I'm pregnant," She said with a flushed face, smiling eyes.
"Oh, God!" I sucked in a deep breath. I drifted my gaze around to catch something to sit on. My gaze stopped on the couch. It didn't take me a minute to walk over and plop down. I was feeling my legs were shaking and they couldn't take my weight.
"Sweetie," My mother hovered over me, her hands patting my hair, "It's a good thing to feel again,"
"Sorry, I don't have experience, mom. I can't be sure how you feel. But definitely, you'll be the happiest one."
She sat next to me, "Yes, I am." She pulled her shoulders closer to her neck, her smile was the broadest one, matching the smile she flashed when I met her in Charles's house.
"You can get a sister or brother," She said. Her gaze was returning to Charles every time.
"I don't know, mom. You shouldn't bother about me. You have a baby to take care of," I told her, stealing my gaze, not to meet her eyes. It felt weird. Super weird!
"You're our first child, the eldest one," Charles said. I could feel the couldn't-be-Alpha was a little nervous. I wasn't his daughter, "I know, I'm not your father."
"You don't need to say that." It would hurt Mom, so I was preferring to speak less.
"Stay with us, sweetie." Mom squeezed my hand. Her eyes turned glassy again.
"Don't blackmail me with your tears, mom." I pointed my finger at her face, motioning at her teary eyes.
"Is it working? My tears are genuine. I love you, Emersyn. You're my daughter." She said, blinking. Her tears trailed down, making me feel guilty. Accusing me of a bad girl who teased their parents.
"Oh! You are just bringing another child to bully me like your two other kids." My lips thinned, I looked away. I heaved a deep sigh, "Fine, I'll come." I also didn't know what would happen if I walked on the path to find the last book. Angel, demon, I did not know anything about them.
I heard mother squealing happily and she embraced me so tightly that it became
hard to breathe. But! It was one of the rarest moments, I was truly happy. Though, my heart mourned for him.
I took a tiny sip of hot chocolate. My gaze was on the door. The sun was down and the evening was gnawing at me. It hardly would have been two hours, before I reached here. An uncomfortable feeling settled in my stomach. I wouldn't have done it against my will if it wasn't important for my mother. She has faced a lot. It's time to only face happiness for her. For now, I'm alive. I'm waiting for my friends. They will make my stay easy here. I wasn't certain whether to come here. My mother's happiness is essential to me. I genuinely feel outcasted. I can't shift, I feel cold easily, and I'm not strong. I'm the vulnerable one. I bit on the biscuit. I leaned forward to grab another one. My eyes were glued to the door in anticipation. I would kill them if they didn't show up. I was holding myself not to make another call. I took another bite and chewed it slowly. Ava's face screwed up in disbelief, "Are you planning on putting on weight?" Her voice was hesitant.
My gaze flickered anxiously around. I had thought about every possible place where I should run. I didn't know. I would live or die. If my presence affected my new family I shouldn't be here. Should I ask Burt? Yes! That'd be great. "What are you thinking?" Silver asked. Her laptop was open in front of her. "Alex?" I asked, looking at her laptop. A soft smile appeared on her face and she nodded her head, "LA was seen last month in Alaska," She said. LA=Light Angel "We can ask Burt." Elizabeth suggested. Her fingers were rapidly running over the display of her phone's screen. "Can't you talk to your mate in your head?" I asked. "I can," Silver said proudly and twirled the display to me. She had opened a website. My eyes widened. I pushed myself forward to look more closely. "Is it true?" I asked, my voice full of shock. Silver giggled softly, "Supernatural Website. Jasper is going to meet Angelina. We know the name of th
We walked for about an hour. We parked our cars before the beginning of the jungle. The road was narrowed. The trees got thicker. I was confused about the distraction. I was following them behind the torch lights. Edward was holding Elizabeth's hand. "Why do all supernatural beings pick to be in the jungle?" I asked, snorting. "It's safe, away from humans." Drake said. "I don't think so. We can be dangerous in any way," I said. "Better. Keep distance. They're not supposed to know about us." Jasper said, in a serious way. I didn't say a word and kept walking. The silence was giving me a spooky feeling. Mr. Wolf offered me the job. It clearly explained, they knew about me. They knew everything. But they are scared of the consequences. I did not want to think about it. That was in the past. The path was so quiet. My gaze was turning every time to my wrist. It was a relief to know that there was no danger around me. The rustling o
It was a great time before the slaughter. I was glad I could spend time with them. My friends were tired. So they hurried to their rooms. Ava was behind them. I didn't see him after he disappeared in the dark. "Good night, kiddo." Drake kissed my head before taking the stairs. His rare gaze turned to Luke and they nodded at each other. I couldn't understand them and their nodding. When Drake was upstairs I whirled to Luke, "You don't need to do this against your will. I can talk to Charles." I told him. He shook his head, "I didn't do this so you could talk to Dad. I was wrong. You're not as bad as I thought you would be." He said. My eyes narrowed at him, "Did someone try to poison your ears against me?" I asked. "Doesn't matter," He shoved his hands in his jeans pockets and climbed the stairs, quicker than I could imagine. Instead of turning to my room, I turned to my mother's room. She would be awake. I was hoping. I'd say h
I excused myself. The dinner was essential for me. I could see my family, and friends together under the same roof before anything unpleasant happened to me. I didn't know what to expect in the future. I wasn't even certain. Would I be breathing or not? I closed the door of the washroom behind me. I stifled a shudder. The washroom was giant enough for six people. It felt colder than I remember. I couldn't deny the spooky feeling. I couldn't rein in the other shudder that ran through my body. I heard several voices in my ears. It was impossible. I was in the washroom. It was disturbing. I placed my hands over my ears. I couldn't block the voices. It got louder. Whatever the mayhem was, it wasn't from my surroundings. After a few seconds, it fell quiet. Gradually, I peeled my hands, bringing them down to my side. I darted my gaze around, moving on my feet slowly. My heart gave loud beats before turning to a normal rhythm. I shook my head i
My smile faded to a worried frown the moment she closed the door behind her. I was more than a werewolf. Fire Queen! What did that mean? I had to find a way to reach reality. I grabbed my phone. I should talk to Mr. Morris. I messaged him quickly to see, could he meet me? I pulled in a huge breath of air as I tried to relax. My phone pinged after a second. He was in the meeting hall. It wasn't far from our house. There must be Alphas meeting tonight. I jumped on my feet and rushed to the kitchen. I could hear Mom humming in a strange tone. She was happy. I was so relieved to know. My phone buzzed. I twirled and glanced over it. My heart shuddered in dread and I jumped on my feet. I scooted to the door and didn't look back at anyone. My inner voice screeched at me. He had helped us a lot, first by providing me a job when no one wanted me near them because we stayed separately from our father. Nobody knew us. So they considered what the
She kept on pulling me. I gazed at the castle with steady eyes. I never faced so many surprises in my life before. I saw people with wings. They were so beautiful. It was hard to take my eyes off of them. I could bet I wasn't the only one with a shocked expression, dropped jaw. They were looking at us in shock, awe, perplexity, and disbelief. I could hear murmurs reaching my ears. "I'm an angel." She whispered. My head jerked to her. I stared at her back. There were two long scars on her back, "Where are your wings? Are you hurt?" I gasped. Tears blinded my version. I was thankful for her gripping my hand, "He did this?" I asked, shocked and a surge of anger coursed through me. I wanted to hurt him. She glanced over her shoulder. Her old torn gown was backless. It must be a beautiful dress someday. Her eyes shone with water but she didn't cry, "Yes," I glanced at her in terror. I opened my mouth but tears streamed down. I didn't want to think what she wo
Chapter One His grin was of pure happiness as he looked down at the twin newborn baby girls. "I can never forget the time when my daughter was born." Emotions coated Alpha's voice. His eyes turned glassy. Her smile faded a little. She glanced at her babies draped in a white soft cloth. One of them was also wrapped with a small warm blanket. The left one was fisting her hands in the air, grasping a toothless smile on her angelic face. "She's a wolf. A strong one, Lance." Her voice was painful recalling her dead girl. Her amber eyes lifted up and met with her husband. They shared a concerned look. Her second baby was sleeping. She was the younger one. Her eyes turned to her babies and she brushed her fingers on their heads one by one. It lingered longer on the younger one. Charles rested his hand on her shoulder. Her forehead was covered with sweat. It has been more than an hour since she brought two lives into this world. She was worried about her younger one.
I've been in many stores but this one is the biggest. It's quite unbelievable that they own it. I was expecting them to be here but they could not come because all the paths were blocked by the king. I'm missing them. I'm hoping to see them soon. Silver waved another dress in front of me. "This dress is too short." I shook my head, denying the dress She held for me. "That's the mission. Isn't it?" Elizabeth asked, chuckling. We came here in her pink car. It was quite unbelievable that technology was part of their lives. "Yes, but not that. There must be a class." I told them. Looking around the store. It didn't seem like I was not on the earth. "This one is perfect." Silver held the silky black long dress, thin strips, a long cut on one side of it. "Yes, perfect." Elizabeth clapped her hands. It would cover most of me. "Yea, perfect." I agreed. But I wasn't certain. 'You don't need to do that, Syn. You're not ready. I can fe
" I don't know that the full moon ceremony is two days away. " I shouted in a hurry, flipping through the pages of a magazine. "Gosh, dudes. Your designers are the best. Look at this one, Mama. It's difficult to pick one." I shoved it toward her. They were looking at me with a broad smile. "You're so adorable." Elizabeth tucked my hair. I flashed a smile. "So, what's the plan? We have a lot of things to do." I was worried about how we would do this. "Help has reached. Don't tense up. You should pick a dress for yourself." Mama suggested. "I like this bridal dress." Silver laid the magazine on the center of the table. It is a mermaid dress with a 3d floral print. She is perfect for this dress. She doesn't look much older than me. "I think you'll look more beautiful than that model." Elizabeth giggled. "We have two days to decide this," Mama said. Her soft smile didn't dimension when she drifted her eyes on her. I
He was furious that Cyril was his father, he kidnapped his mate and also threatened to force her to be his mate. Though Cyril didn't say or do anything like that, it boiled his blood. "So glad to be back home." Darius said. Wherever he slanted his gaze he could see dark land. He was wondering, his father managed to secure the land of Dark Wood when he was determined to destroy everything after his mate's death. He also wanted to burn Eamonn until he got satisfied with his cries of agony. But his mother stopped him. Yes, he was under the effect of black magic. That was why it was prohibited. It was also annoying him in anger that he could hear his father in his head clearly. He still didn't know how to properly rule the dark creatures particularly those that crawled under the dark and sucked all energy. They are called Oscuros. Fathers always trained their sons. He hated to admit it but he was curious to learn this talent.
They walked out of the room and we sat in awkward silence for a few minutes. "Don't ever say that you're not my friend." Elizabeth looked at me with watery eyes. I felt bad. "I'm sorry. I was upset with you that you won't stand with the right" "Don't jump to conclusions, Em. It hurts to hear it from you." Silver got back in her seat. Saddens cast over her beautiful face. "I thought. You would take the wrong side." "Never. I'm sorry he..." Elizabeth trailed off. "Was about to attack me." It was only Alessandro who did not come forward to save me. That means he favored him attacking him. Good to know. Who could save me and who would attack me? "Ales, also..." Silver thinned her lips, looking at the door. I was feeling blocked from him. "Do you know how this block thing works in the head?" I asked them. If he could do this, I could too. I haven't read the half-book yet. "Yes, it's quite simple. Say the word with dete
After a long shower, I peered into the room, cracking the bathroom door open. His room was a hall and the bathroom was bigger than anyone could think. Damn! He lives like the king of the world. He heaved a deep sigh as our eyes locked. A playful smile appeared on his face. 'It's dangerous, you know.' I heard him in my head. I lifted my brows and a blush crawled on my cheeks. I was wrapped in a black towel. It was bigger than my size. It was reaching above my knees. "There's no danger now. If you're forgetting." I stepped out from behind the door. I was eighteen. His eyes heated on my body as they drifted down. 'You're eighteen. No barrier between us now, until you don't want it.' My body heated hearing him clearly in my head. He strode over to me and wrapped his arm around me. His fingers brush the side of my waist. Flames flickered through me as he ran his hand up and rested it on my bare shoulder. He leaned close. He could feel my he
I heard Reina gasping next to me but she didn't stop or say a word. "I... " His deadly deep voice rang around. " Thee king Cyril Royal. I deprive you of your wolf and confiscate your power and right to be a royal. If you try to go near any shadows, it will bring you a painful death." He said the words loud and clear. His face was set into a deadly scowl. Mama sauntered toward and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Bad time is over." She said softly to him. He covered her hand with his and turned to her with a smile that could rob many hearts. They are in love even a blind man could tell this too. "How did you do this?" Dastien's jaw ticked as he stared at him gripping hate in his eyes. "I'm your father. The King. Accept it, I'm above you." Cyril said, his arm was still wrapped around her. "Above me! That's why you did all this. You kidnapped my mate. You were going to force her to be his mate." He fisted his hands, his eyes flashed amb
I straightened up, feeling uneasy. Something wasn't right. I need to find a way out of this place. I pushed myself on my feet. My eyes swiped on the tray. The food has turned dark blue. My eyes narrowed on it. Was it poisonous? How could it be? Eamonn brought it himself. His father didn't walk deep into the room. Could he poison it without even touching it? No! Something is wrong with Eamonn. It could be possible. These kings could do anything. I forwarded my steps toward the door. I couldn't stay here. If Eamonn wouldn't help me I have to find the path myself. Someone clad in dark clothes entered. I gasped in terror and took steps back. My big eyes were locked on the door. My hope shattered and fear raced through me. "What were you going to do?" He asked with a snort. His forehead creased together in anger. "Why are you angry?" I asked with my pounding heart. He was looking a little different. I stared at him. His eyes were pitch blac
She yanked, waking up from her dream. Sweat was covering her forehead, her heart was beating a little louder. Ancestors never showed untruth to her. There was guilt in her green eyes. She wanted to give a chance to everyone to stop this coming war which would only bring death and devastation to the door of millions of people. She fisted her silky dress to stop her hands from shivering. She still remembers the day when she was going to mate. The two powerful prince, one was a light wolf and the second was a dark wolf. They were like their titles. The light prince Chris was a good and kind soul. He always sees good in people, even in bad, too and in evil things too. Cyril was always strong and born to be a leader. He ruled her heart. She listened to her brain Killing her heart and decided to mate with a light wolf. He wasn't strong like his elder brother but she knew deep down that he would keep her happy in all circumstances. Chris was also popular
My thoughts banished my focus. Irked, I put the book down. Eamonn didn't return after saving me. I let myself sink in the sleep hoping to see some miracle. But I'm still here. no one has come to rescue me. I contemplated helping myself. My heart began to beat when I thought of reaching him in my head. "Darkice," I whispered. I waited but there was silence from the other side. I was also bound to the oath with Mama. I can't sit here. "Dastien," I whispered. I was getting impatient. Closing my eyes, I rested my head on the pillow. It felt as if I was actually my parents' princess after being in this room. The walls were cream shaded almost yellow, and red, a giant hearth and a queen size bed with four pools around it. The pillows were also bigger in size, red carpet. A lone tear slid down my cheek. 'Are you okay, Syn?' My eyes flew open, I jerked in a sitting position. "You have to tell me the path so I can go home. I don't like to be here. E
