Chapter Sixty Two{Davinia}

So I stay. I stay with Timothy, my bodyguard, Butcher. I stay and watch over him, listening to the beeping of the heart monitor. Watching the agony itched on his face since she died. Since he lost his daughter, his daughter Gabriella.

Ever since that accident, he's had this look of agony itched on his face. Of course random people won't see it, all they'd see is fear but for those of us that know what pain is and how it looks like, we know that Butcher still mourns, still hurts, still wishes it was just a bad dream.

Does it ever go away? The pain, does it ever stop hurting? Maybe for regular people it does but for us sworn in blood and violence, it doesn't stop, it does not leave. It continues until we become numb and can no longer feel. Can no longer tell if we should scream or cry.

I want to give up, I really want to but I can't. I'm in too deep. We're in too deep.

My eyes are tired of crying, my throat is dry and sore from screaming. I take hold of his cold hand and rub it.
