Chapter Sixty Three {Davinia}

"He's unconscious, Davinia. That's enough. We've got all we need from him." Tiana has a tight grip on my hand. She's scared I might lose it, I can tell from the way she keeps searching for closure in my eyes. For warmth, for Davi.

Marco is unrecognizable, except for his hair which also has a fair amount of blood matting it, the rest of his body is messy with blood. My eyes drop down to the bloody scalpel in my hand. The metalic taste of blood fills my lungs like I drank a cup of it, my face is coated with blood and so is my right hand. Slowly and stiffly, I look up at Tiana's eyes which are full of worry and I look down at my pants trousers that have splashes of blood on them.

"I need a bath." I mutter stiffly. She nods her head in agreement as she takes the scalpel from me and throws it away. The sound of it echoes in the room, giving a dramatic effect.

"Let's go." She holds my arm and begins to lead me away from Marco but someone blocks our path.
