After Hinley and I finish dinner, we cleaned up and then head to the living room. I hate that I have to be the one to tell him about our family drama but I don't think he'd listen to anyone but me about it.

I guess it's time to pull up my big girl pants and tell Hinley what's going on. I take a deep breath and then start talking. "I told you earlier that we needed to talk. I got a phone call a few days ago from Uncle Ian. Do you remember him?" I asked.

"Yes I do but we've not seen him since we were what five? Why did he call you and what did he want? From what I remember mom and dad said he just up and left and abandoned us. It was weird though because we always got presents from him for our birthday and Christmas" Hinley said.
