Chapter 54

I woke up the next morning to an empty bed. I sat up and looked around only to find a note where my mate had slept. It read, “I hated to leave you alone this morning, but dad needed me in the cells. Alex is with me, but Tayna is on the couch while the rest of your warriors are scattered from outside our door all the way to the end of our floor.

“It looks like we are going to be super busy today. Just know that I will do my best to be by your side as much as possible. In the meantime, please don’t go anywhere at all without your guards. I couldn’t live with myself if anything happened to you, love. I love you with everything I am, Isaac.”

I smiled and gushed as I held the note to my chest and put it in a safe place. I wanted to keep it forever. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to take my shower. When I was done, I put on a cute sundress and a pair of sandals, then brushed out my hair. Since I washed it last night, I decided to leave it alone today. I put a small, tight braid on
