Chapter 1 - My Mistake

Blood splattered on the floor, the young man's body fell to the ground with a sad look at the beautiful woman beside him. Shot death by a mysterious person wearing a mask.

The woman looked shocked, her body collapsed limply crying loudly while holding back the flow of blood that continued to flow in the young man's body. Unable to say anything, the young man could only smile at her, his eyes slowly closing.

Suddenly the noblewoman woke up from her scary dream world until her chest felt tight now and cold sweat continued to trickle down her neck. Remembering a while ago had a fight with the young man in his dream was the prince he loved, which made her feel very guilty for her rude actions. Moreover, the fear of her dream turning into reality.

Today the beautiful woman met her lover in the palace garden to apologize for the mistakes she had made. As soon as she arrived at the park, she sat on a park bench while taking a deep breath to mentally prepare. Trying to forget about the bad dream, discouraged from telling her lover. Holding back the tears that kept wanting to flow for the sake of her lover didn't worry her.

Not long after, the handsome Prince with a dashing appearance approached her, bowing his head languidly.

"I'm sorry, Charlotte."

"Why are you apologizing to me? You haven't done anything wrong to me." The noblewoman clasped his hands, smiling a faint smile.

"Your heart must still hurt until now because I hurt your feelings before."

Charlotte shook her head slowly, a genuine smile on her face.

“You don't have to worry about that problem anymore. Indeed, this is all my fault, because of my selfishness, our relationship became complicated. I'm sorry, Gabriel."

"No, Charlotte. It's all because I didn't explain it to you. Because of that, it's only natural for you to be angry with me to the point of not wanting to see me."

A rough sigh was blown out of Charlotte's mouth. Remembering the words that Gabriel hurt her before, but in her deepest mind, now she had just forgotten about it, let alone remembering her dream.

Looking at her lover's eyes that looked sluggish, made Charlotte even more guilty.

"Next time I won't scold you again."

“To be more precise I will not disappoint you like before. Because I don't want your heart to crack like broken glass due to the mistake I've done to you," Gabriel said sincerely.

The handsome prince landed his sweet kiss on the top of the head of his sweetheart in a few seconds while closing his eyes. Expressing their love for each other, now their hearts are free from the burden.

Gabriel got up from the chair and extended his right hand to Charlotte.

"Let's go now! You want to go anywhere, I will definitely take you to where you want, "he said casually.

Charlotte smiled warmly, grabbed her lover's hand and got up from her chair.

“I just want to walk alone with you here. I don't want to go far away because it's very tiring."

"Okay, then I'll just do what you want," Gabriel replied with a warm smile while stroking Charlotte's hair gently.

Hearing inappropriate words uttered by the prince made Charlotte sigh again, releasing her hand immediately. Seeing his fiancé suddenly reacting like that, his strong hands embraced her warmly.

"I don't like you always saying 'according to' in front of me," Charlotte said with a weary sigh.

"Why? Could it be because I'm a prince that you don't feel comfortable hearing those words?” asked Gabriel in surprise.

“A prince must have a firm stand. I've warned you several times since long ago, but you still don't hear what I say at all. It's a waste of time for me to give you the same advice over and over again."

Gabriel shook his head slowly, clasping Charlotte's hands with a relaxed smile on his face.

Charlotte's head lifted lightly, her eyes focused on the prince's handsome face that made her always love him more and more. Without realizing it, a happy smile appeared on her face suddenly then her right hand spontaneously touched her lover's cheek.

“Every time I see you, I always love your handsome face. Your face that really teases me every time."

“Charlotte, I don't care if I say a word that is not appropriate for the royal family. For me, all humans have the same degree, there is no such thing as caste discrimination. Even if you're not a princess, but a noble-blooded woman of the Viscount family, our rank is still the same. I hate it the most when there are royal people who discriminate between castes, even though we are still human beings."

What the Viscount meant here was Charlotte's surname. Not a title of nobility in another kingdom.

"Therefore, don't ever stop me again. I want to live like other ordinary humans without any strict rules. Do you understand, Charlotte?”

Charlotte nodded slowly in response indicating that she agreed. Without needing to linger, Gabriel embraced his fiancé's hand and continued to walk leisurely around the palace garden.

"Our wedding will be held in two days, are you ready to marry me?" asked Gabriel.

"I don't want to answer that," Charlotte said flatly.

"What's wrong with you? Did something happen to you?”

On the other side, the King and Queen of the Godnation kingdom who were Gabriel's parents looked at their son very sweet with his fiancé from within the palace. King Arthur looked relaxed and relieved looking at him from the window while embracing his wife's shoulders affectionately.

"Thank God our son is smiling again," said King Arthur.

"Seeing them like this, remembers us before we got married."

"Luckily we didn't set him up with another woman. I'm pretty sure he won't look happy, even if she's beautiful or kind."

Hearing the words of the King, the Queen let out a weary breath, her head lowered.

“It reminds me that we even almost matched Gabriel with Prime Minister Agnes.”

“Oh, that problem. Indeed, her character with Gabriel's character is very different. If they were put together, I'm pretty sure they would never love each other."

"Therefore, I told you from the start that we never matched her. Agnes's stubborn character and Gabriel's gentle character are very different. If there are differences of opinion, there may be more conflicts," added Queen Evelyn.

In the middle of their conversation, actually behind a pillar the mysterious person was listening to the conversation from the start. The mysterious person was nowhere to be seen, only a sly smile appeared on his face, then swiftly walked towards a secret place where everyone could not find him.

The Prince and his lover were having a serious conversation in the palace garden. A languid sigh was exhaled from the prince's mouth, he spontaneously hugged her warmly while rubbing her head gently.

"Could it be that you're not ready to get married, that's why you didn't reply to what I said earlier?" Gabriel asked doubtfully.

"It's not like that."

"So what? Is it possible that you are still not ready to join the royal family?”

"Not for that either."

"If you always deny it, then what is the reason that you hesitate to answer me?" Gabriel repeated his question to reassure his fiancé.

"Actually I'm ready to marry you. But are you really ready?”

"Why are you asking me like that? Of course I'm definitely ready to marry you. Since long ago, my dream has been to marry the woman I have loved for the rest of my life,” Gabriel said loudly.

"I know you must be ready to get married, but are the King and Queen ready to accept me as their son-in-law?"

Gabriel chuckled as he shook his head, making Charlotte amazed at him.

"Why are you even laughing at me?"

“Of course, my parents will definitely accept you as my wife. After all, they have always liked your kind and strong character."

"I'm a little relieved." A small smile appeared on Charlotte's face again.

“You don't have to worry about that problem anymore. The most important thing now, we just focus on our marriage later. You can simply pray that on our wedding day, there is no barrier that can destroy the wedding ceremony."

Feel confident now. Her hazel eyes looked very shining in front of her lover.

"Alright, from now on I won't think anything weird anymore."

"That's my Charlotte who always looks confident in my eyes," Gabriel said while stroking Charlotte's head.

Back smiling sweetly because she was seduced by Gabriel. For now, all Charlotte had in mind was having fun with him.

“Besides my good-natured and strong character, is there anything else you like about me?”

"Whatever you do is always sweet in front of me. Especially, we have the same talents which are good at designing clothes and playing the piano.”

"Gabriel, there's actually so much I like about you that I don't know what to say."

"You've told me before, if you tell them all, I'd be happy to hear them."

"I'll be thirsty later, you have to take responsibility!"

Gabriel flashed a mischievous smile, getting closer to his face and touching his soft cheek.

"If you're thirsty, you can ask me."

Charlotte's mind was already wandering somewhere, her eyes focused instead on her lover's lips. Sexy lips in front of her, making her cheeks flushed red.

"Regarding that, I'll take back what I said."

"You don't want to get a kiss from me?" Gabriel's thumb continued to rub his lover's beautiful lips slowly.

“We can't…do it here. If someone disturbs us, what will it be?"

"Don't worry, if someone bothers us, I'll cut off that person's head." Gabriel laughed mischievously.

"Prince Gabriel!" A young man approached them in the middle of their conversation.
