"Are you out of your mind, Mason?!"

Mason internally groaned. He didn't bother to look up from the scroll he was studying when a furious Lillian barged into his office.

"That's Alpha Mason to you," Kane growled and stepped forward before Mason could raise his hand.

Not many people would talk to him this way and live to tell the tale, but Lillian was an exception…to a certain point. She has been his right hand since Melania's death. They both believed in her cause despite their identical siblings disagreeing.

While Mason continued to grab supporters of the cause, Melania and Lillian were preparing for the worst-case scenario: Melania's death. Mason couldn't be happier when Lillian told him they had found a way to bring her back. For the past two years, they've made plans to get everything on the list, and so far, they have almost everything.

All except the perfect vessel. Of course, Lillian volunteered without question, and he knew it was because of her affection towa

Mason didn't move a muscle as Kane blocked her advance, pushing her against the wall. With one hand holding Lillian's hand with the blade, Kane wrapped his other hand around her throat. Lillian smiled before Kane registered a blade sticking out of his side. Lillian produced another blade and stabbed him in the chest. Kane staggered back as Lillian pushed him aside to get to Mason, who wasn't paying attention. "How dare you ignore me!" Lillian yelled while lounging at him again. He stood up with the scroll in his hand, grabbed Lillian by the throat, and slammed her against the desk in one fluid motion. He could feel the weight of his Alpha's command pressing down on her like dead weight. Rodin's way of showing dominance. "Don't be so dramatic, Lillian. You will always be a part of this pack. Besides, wouldn't you rather be by her side?" he asked without a glance her way. Lillian whimpered as the pressure and the pain grew immensely. Mason finally looked at her, moving

  • Fearless Human Mate   Ruined Meet

Lottie was riding in a carriage with Spencer, finally excited for him to meet the other love of her life. Spencer showered her with kisses as she playfully pushed him away. "Stop it before you mess up my hair," Lottie laughed as he embraced her. "I cannot help it, my little chef. I don't think I've ever been this happy in my entire life," Spencer said while trying to kiss her. Lottie dodged his advances by turning her head, so he resorted to kissing her neck. His lips grazed over the mark he had placed on her neck the night before, and he felt her tremble in his arms. Lottie couldn't get enough of his kisses, but she had to stop before it went too far. It always went too far with him, and she didn't want Xenia to find them in a compromising position. It wouldn't be the first time Lottie was caught with a man in a compromising position. Spencer turned to look at what she saw. In the little valley stood a small cabin with the side wholly torn down. It looked as if something smashed the side of the cabin to the ground. With Spencer's help, Lottie returned to her feet and walked toward the cabin, but Spencer stopped her. "No, you stay here, Lottie. Let me check it out first," Spencer said, heading towards the cabin. From the scents in the air, he could tell there was blood from a human and a werewolf. He made it to the crumbling wall and peeked inside. There was nothing there but a bedroom set up. Pieces of the ceiling were scattered on the floor, but nothing else seemed to be destroyed. Spencer turned to see Lottie looking apprehensive, but he was glad she stayed put."I'll be back as soon as possible," he linked her. She didn't respond, but he saw her nod before he headed inside. The smell of blood increased as he approached the door leading into a hallway. He kept his ears perked for any sounds or motions before

  • Fearless Human Mate   Waking Up

"Ah," Xenia screamed and sat up. "Owwww." Her body felt sore as she brought her hand to her head. Her vision was blurry as she looked at her surroundings. Wait, where am I? she wondered. It took a minute for her eyes to adjust to the light coming from the windows, and she realized she was in a bed. Remembering Barrick, she quickly jumped out of the covers. The massive headache she had was keeping her from remembering anything. She looked down and saw her teddy was still covered in dirt and blood. There was a glass of water near a lamp on the bedside table, and she quickly drank it, unaware of how thirsty she was. Her room was big, way bigger than her entire cabin. The light shined on the amber-colored walls, matching the polished hardwood floors. There was a huge painting over the bed of a beautiful blue-eyed woman. Her hair fell in golden waves over her shoulders, down the crimson red dress. On her face was a smile carved out of beautiful red lips. She looks familiar, Xenia

  • Fearless Human Mate   The First Attempt

Xenia looked for a place to hide but gave up and climbed back into bed. The glass on the bedside was filled with water. So, she quickly drank it and hid the glass under the covers. She didn't know what or who to expect, but she wanted to be prepared. She focused on calming her pulse before lying back down. It took a minute for the person to come into the room. She could hear the rickety sound of a cart being pushed across the floor. It stopped near the front of the bed. By the footsteps, she knew it was at least two people. They continued to busy themselves around the room, and she could hear someone running water. Then, a hand caressed the side of her face. "I know you're not asleep, Xenia." Him. Xenia gripped the covers and slowly opened her eyes to see him beside her bedside. He sat down as she sat up and watched him cautiously. Two other women were in the room with them, so Xenia felt some relief. She didn't want to be alone with him. One woman moved things in and out of

  • Fearless Human Mate   Getting Acclimated

What's more embarrassing than fighting and screaming at someone trying to put you in a bath? Having another person watch you being manhandled like a child, and there was nothing you could do about it. Jane ducked her head and brought her hand to her lips to hide the smile on her face as Mason carried a fighting Xenia to the tub. There were times when Xenia could slip away, and Jane couldn't help but giggle when Xenia found things to throw at Mason. After a few minutes, Mason finally got Xenia to the tub. He lowered her, teddy and all, into the water. It was hot and soothing, and the moment her body hit the water, Xenia went utterly still. There was a sense of calm flowing through her body out of nowhere. All her worries disappeared, and nothing was left but peace. It scared but delighted her at the same time. "See, that wasn't so bad now, was it," Mason huffed out before standing. Xenia wanted to frown at him, but her body was too relaxed, and his voice was pleasant as she

  • Fearless Human Mate   To Eat Or Not To Eat

Jane lifted the lid, and a cornucopia of smells filled Xenia's nose. She looked down at the plate of meats and veggies piled up and could feel herself salivating. She would've dug in, but the thought of Barrick poisoning her flashed in her mind. What if he did something to the food? She wondered, looking at Mason. "Eat," Mason ordered. "You're going to need your strength if you're going to continue to try to escape." She could see a faint smile on his face. Yeah, he definitely did something to it. She made a big show of pushing the plate away from her. Almost causing it to fall off the table. Jane rushed over to push the plate back to the middle before stepping back. Mason sighed. "Xenia-" "Don't," Xenia snapped at him. "Don't say my name like we're friends. You don't know me." Xenia turned away from him, and soon after, she could hear him moving toward her. Yes, come closer, you bastard! "You're right. I do not know you, but I could hear your hunger even from miles away." X

The moment the door closed, Xenia fell to the floor, a bit shaken. She took measured breaths to try to stop her body from trembling. She zoned out thinking about her situation until she felt a hand on her shoulder. She jumped, pulling her fist back, ready to pounce, when she realized it was Jane. The girl looked as white as a ghost, cowering away from Xenia. A momentary flash of guilt came across Xenia's face. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Luna," Jane shrieked. "I brought fresh food and water." Xenia didn't realize she had so much tension in her body, especially when he was around. Still, she didn't eat the food. Instead, she walked over to the bench and looked out the window. Her body felt hot, and the coldness of the pane was soothing. She waited a moment before addressing Jane. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to jump at you," Xenia said, walking over to the table. Jane gave her a small smile as Xenia looked at the food. She slowly started to eat, hoping that it was poison. That would be bett

As the morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room, Xenia slowly opened her eyes to find herself lying in her room. She quickly sat up in bed, looking around. Was she dreaming? She had to be. That was the only explanation. She jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom to look in the mirror. She was the same as she was before. She pinched herself thinking she was dreaming but she felt pain. What the hell? She absentmindedly touched her face, arms, and hair. Unable to believe where she was. She tried remembering where she was before. Melania. The fight. Nova. She had to get back and…“Xeni?”Xenia’s inner thoughts stopped and she froze. She looked towards the doorway, willing herself to move but her body was shaking with emotions.“Mother?”As if on cue, Delilah appeared in the doorway with a smile on her face. “There you are? What is taking you so long? Put on some clothes and come to breakfast.”Delilah turned to leave but Xenia grabbed her and pulled

Where are the others?”Jane pointed in the direction of the dungeon cells. “Cells are down that way, but we’re not the only ones down here.”On cue, a loud crash could be heard through the tunnels. The group raced forward, coming to a scene of pure chaos. Lacey, Friend, and Danny were in the middle of an all-out brawl against several guards. Lacey was throwing punches like a rabid beast, while Frieda and Danny–both laughing wildly–used each other to break through. Danny swung Frieda around like a rag doll while

  • Fearless Human Mate   Between Fear and Fury

The saturated color of the surrounding trees and landscape looked all too familiar when Xenia woke up in the spirit realm. Yet, something felt off. The hues were darker and the shadow loomed over the entire space. Mist swirled around her ankles, and the air carried an otherworldly hum that seemed to resonate in her chest. For a brief moment, the feeling frightened her.“You are finally awake,” a voice called out.Xenia turned to see Nova, moving towards her. Nova’s white fur shimmered like freshly fallen snow under the moonlight and darkness.“Nova,” Xenia breathed, relief washing over her. “I forgot how this felt. Though, it looks different.”“Dark forces are involved here, Xenia,” Nova said, lowering her head slightly, her ears twitching in agitation. “Melania’s presence is growing stronger.”Xenia’s stomach tightened. The name alone sent a chill through her body. Her hands curled into fists, looking around the area for a sign. “Where is she?”“Close,” Nova growled. “Be on guard.”“

  • Fearless Human Mate   Breaking the Chains

The clash of metal against metal echoed through the kitchen as Jane ducked, barely dodging the swing of the spiked chain now wielded by Rick.Rick grinned as he twirled the chain like a predator with a toy. “You thought you were clever. Wielding this chain like you had a chance against me. Haven’t you had enough today?”Jane was breathing hard, her muscles aching from the fight, but still she laughed, shaking her head. “Obviously not, if I’m defying you again, but you know what Rick. I don't care what you do to me anymore. I will be free from you whether you like it or not.”“Don’t test me, Jane.”He swung the chain and Jane ducked as it hit the plates just above her. The glass sprayed everywhere causing a few cuts on her arms. She moved back against the counter, and her hand grazed the surface, feeling for anything useful. Her fingers brushed against something cold and metal–a pie tin. Her heart leaped as she remembered its contents. The silver and wolfsbane pie she’d baked earlier,

The path they took wasn’t going to the dungeons but through the Alpha’s secret hideaway in his office. The sudden change as they entered the small cave made Xenia’s stomach tighten. “Where are we going?” Xenia asked, her voice more high-pitched than she liked. The warriors remained silent, their faces unreadable as they waded through the icy water to reach the other side. Xenia’s heart raced, her pulse pounding in her ears. The dim, suffocating tunnel brought back the memories of her escape with her mother. Her breath hitched, and her legs faltered as the faint echoes of her mother’s screams mingled with the falling of debris.“Xenia,” Nova’s voice rumbled in the back of her mind, firm but soothing. “They did this on purpose. Fight through it. Breathe.”Xenia gritted her teeth, drawing strength from Nova’s presence as she struggled to keep moving. The warriors exchanged glances but said nothing, their grip tightening to keep her moving. Nova’s presence swirled protectively around he

  • Fearless Human Mate   A Cast Ironed Plan

Jane waited until all the warriors had left for the ritual before making her way through the halls of the packhouse. Her fist tightened around the key wrapped in a note she received from one of the guards–a man with a creepy obsession with Frieda. Jane thought it was a trap set by Lillian, but at the moment, she didn’t have any other option. “They locked Lacey and Frieda in the west wing, the room with the black doors. After the feast.”Jane cursed under her breath again. The west wing was desolate, but she knew there would be a guard or two stationed there. As she approached the main staircase, she slowed her pace, her ears catching the faint murmurs of voices below. She peeked over the railing and spotted two warriors stationed at the bottom of the steps. Sneaking past them was impossible. She needed a distraction. She looked around and noticed a small statue perched on a pedestal. Quietly, she slipped toward it, her heart pounding. With much more effort than she anticipated, she

This worked way better than expected. Lillian thought as she strode into the room where Mason lay, his muscular arms wrapped protectively around a trembling Xenia. She twirled the little pouch to break the spell, seeing the control Melania had over him was still in effect. Though if it was up to her, Lillian would let the effect last as long as she could. She approached the side of the bed where Xenia was looking straight ahead, her eyes wide with unshed tears. Lillian crouched down, her face level with Xenia’s. When Lillian’s hand reached out to brush a strand of Xenia’s hair back, Xenia flinched, but Mason’s grip kept her in place.“You brought this on yourself, you know,” Lillian mused. “All you had to do was cooperate.”“Fuck… you,” Xenia stuttered.Lillian laughed. “I think we both know who just got fuck. What? You can’t handle a bit of rough play?”Xenia wanted to reach out and claw Lillian’s face but Mason had her locked down. Lillian crouched, meeting Xenia’s angry gaze with

No matter how much Nova tried to reassure her that everything was going to be okay.“Do you feel that?” Nova asked. Xenia knew what she was talking about. There was power in the air. Something that seemed to call to the both of them. Or more like someone.“Mason?” Xenia asked.“No. Micah.”Xenia closed her eyes, searching in the darkness for something to hold on to. Was he really here? Was she really saved? A hand on her shoulder shook her from her thoughts as Tammy stood behind her with her dress.“Everything is safely tucked in, Luna,” Tammy said, laying the dress on the nook bench. I’m sure you didn’t crash my little party just for a scenic tour of the dungeon." He stopped abruptly, crouching in front of Micah, his smirk twisting into something crueler. “Or are you going to let our brave soldier boy here spill his guts for you?”Micah didn’t respond. His breathing was labored, but his eyes—those damn e
