Her hands could not stop fidgeting on her lap as she tried to be patient as possible while time continued to pass.

Since Olivia had a huge resentment toward her father and stepmother, it easily spread to her whole family that she would never want to associate with any of her family if ever that was possible. None of them were either clueless on what was currently happening with Olivia and her parents or were just pretending to be clueless while still knowing what was going on—either way, none of them ever bothered reaching out to help her, to tell her father about how he was an awful father and that she should not be trapped under his shadow for the rest of her life.

The blonde stopped fidgeting when she saw a familiar woman with a white pixie haircut on her way to her table. Whether she liked it or not, she had no choice but to stay connected with any of her family.

“I know we sometimes talk in family events, but I don’t think we were ever that close for you to call me out of the blu

It was like Olivia was in an undercover mission with the way she looked like, cautiously glancing between her phone and the bathroom door.It was not like Dakota was physically present inside their condo unit for the blonde to act that shocked and nervous at the current situation. But it seemed that everything related to Dakota near Theodore makes her anxious because of what happened in the past. How did you get my number?Olivia heaved a heavy sigh as she put her phone down on her lap after sending the text message, trying to keep herself calm. When her phone vibrated, she immediately took it and threw a glance on the bathroom door before checking the reply. It’s a secret. The blonde let out a loud groan as she threw her phone on the space next to her and leaned her head back, glaring at the ceiling above her while imagining Dakota’s smirking face on it.“Babe? What’s wrong?” Olivia nearly jolted from her seat when she heard her boyfriend’s voice from the bathroom.“Nothing! I just g

It had only been ten minutes since the blonde stepped out of the condominium, and her boyfriend was already worried.Olivia let out a sigh as she quickly typed a reply to his text message that was asking her if she was all right.I’m still choosing the ice cream. Chill haha. The phone was then thrown back on the seat after having no more use at that moment as it watched its owner go back to making out with the green-haired woman.Dakota decided to slowly push the latter back so she could be the one on top as she caressed her clothes thighs. She fought her tongue for dominance, and of course, Dakota won.“Wait, wait,” Olivia panted as she quickly caught the hand of the woman on top of her that was about to pull her pants down.“What?” the green-haired woman huskily breathed to her ear as she sucked her earlobe and tried again to pull the latter’s pants down with her other hand.“No, not now. I can’t stay out long, remember?” The blonde wanted it as much as the latter did, but she had n

The reality made the gang boss feel utterly frustrated. Unlike what they imagined earlier; their lives were not as simple as being in each other’s embrace until the moonlight disappears. The look of disappointment on Olivia’s face appeared in her head again. Since it was business about her gang, specifically drugs, Dakota could not tell the latter anything about it even though it was hard to resist the urge when the blonde was obviously upset about her not telling her. Even after giving her a kiss before dropping her off, the green-haired woman knew that the blonde was still upset about it but it was not like she could do anything about it.What happened earlier was basically proof about the huge difference that there was between their lives. The fact that Dakota had to keep secrets from Olivia to save the both of them from dangers was already enough for her to realize that they were never supposed to be together in the first place. The green-haired woman let out a heavy sigh as she t

It was a day-off for Olivia, though it was not an ordinary day where she would just lie on bed all day.Not wanting to waste any more time, the blonde looked through every box in the storage room with frustration as it had been more than five minutes and she still could not find what she was looking for. The condominium unit that Theodore chose had a spare room that they do not use so they decided to make it their storage room where they mostly put their old things in. More than one guest room is enough after all.“Damn it. Where did I even put them?” Olivia cursed as she opened the third box which contained most of the things that she used in middle school. There were educational textbooks that she never used for studying, notebooks that she mostly doodled names of her celebrity crushes on, pens that she mostly used for designing her books and notebooks, and more. The blonde was supposed to throw them all away as soon as she graduated high school but she kept forgetting about it unti

They could have gone and dine in either fancy five-star restaurants or cheap fast-food restaurants if only they were fortunate in life and did not have to suffer with the current circumstances. Even if the blonde was not in a current relationship with a man in which everyone knew of, they still would not be able to be publicly together. It was like how a devil and an angel could never be together. With that, Dakota decided to take Olivia to her suite which was on the same floor as her office. Whenever she feels too exhausted to go back home, she would sleep in that suite. Basically, her hotel is her second home with the top floor containing everything that she needs without anyone being able to bother her there.Fortunately, Olivia did not insist on knowing what was inside the other room aside from Dakota’s office and personal suite. Before they got in the suite, the blonde immediately noticed one of the rooms that the gang boss never told her about which made her almost attempt to en

It was not unusual for Olivia to wake up in the morning with someone lying down next to her on bed. But there was something different about it—and she loved the change of it.As the blonde regained her consciousness, she felt an arm wrapped around her bare waist. Wanting to see the owner of the arm, she carefully turned around as she was greeted by a sleeping angel.Olivia’s hand immediately went to caress the latter’s face, being as gentle as possible as if Dakota’s face was a fragile glass that she would never want to break. It was not her first time to see the gang boss sleep, though she would never get tired of being in awe at her beautifully angelic face. Not to sound like a creep but Olivia would love to watch her sleep for hours. Her fingers slowly traced the scars on her face. The scar under Dakota’s right eye and through her right eyebrow were still visibly there as it seemed like they would really never go away anymore. There was a horizontal scar on her left cheek though it

There were screams from the background to the point that they were actually piercing their ears because of how loud the screams were—but that was not the thing important at that moment when the blonde was literally about to get stabbed in the forehead.“My life’s been ruined because of you,” Rachel hissed as she pushed her knife toward the blonde’s face.Fortunately, Rachel did not stab Olivia deeply on the side earlier since the blonde was quick to push her away. With that, Olivia still had some strength in her even though she could feel blood flowing from the side of her waist. The blonde pursed her lips in as she used all of her strength to hold the woman’s wrists to stop her from stabbing her face.“When are you gonna keep blaming other people for something that you brought upon yourself?” Olivia struggled to speak because of the weight of the latter on her and because of the force that she had to exert in order to not get killed on the spot. After pushing Rachel off earlier, Rach

The apartment complex that Rose was staying in was on a street that is always peaceful at night; which is why, most tenants from the apartments would always find a way to sneak out at night for whatever reason they got without having to be worried about getting caught as they would be alone outside anyway. Though the disadvantage was, of course, the higher possibility of something bad to happen to a person alone outside on the street. With the wind blowing her hair back, the blonde did not care about anything else (not even her wound) as she ran toward a black car that was parked in front of the apartment next door. She was excited to see the gang boss as she could only hope that no one would appear out of nowhere and stab her again like what she watched from the slasher films with her cousin.“Hey,” Dakota said with a warm smile on her face as soon as the blonde hopped on the passenger seat. “How are you?”“I’m good,” Olivia replied with a grin on her face. “I’m just really happy to

The sudden change was like parkour. It seemed that it was going to be the biggest war to occur in Flyve City as the two most powerful gangs all came to fight.“Dead Soul vs. Blood Trouble” was about to be included in the future history textbooks.Dakota pulled Olivia to hide behind a rectangular that was pushed down to serve as a barricade instead of a furniture to hold food. She would take a peek and shoot the enemies that she could see, while the blonde would use whatever object she finds near her to hit whoever tries to get close to them. They were being great teammates. It was no wonder they became partners in crime.“Fuck you,” the blonde hissed as she hit the man’s head with a silver pot as hard as she could which caused him to fall unconscious.Olivia was panting from the exertion as she stared at the man lying on the floor in his unconscious state. A week passed by quickly since that day.Even though Dakota had always been softhearted to Olivia to the point that she could overlook every mistake she does, it was a first for the gang boss to stop being clingy for a while after a conflict.Dakota was speechless and shocked after finding out about how Olivia had to do things that she did not want to do for the sake of protecting her and their two friends. Dakota knew that Olivia was a changed person, but never did she imagine the blonde to be selfless for a decade just for her.The possibility of the two of them being in more danger by being together again made the gang boss suddenly snap back to reality. They were not the main characters in a love story with a happy ending, that was the fact. Everything that happened seemed to be fast. It felt like the first day that the blonde started to date Theodore was yesterday. It felt like the day that Theodore first confessed his feelings for her was just two days ago. It felt like she was just suddenly brought to the future in a split second with how everything had not been done processing yet.The blonde stared at the orange soda in the glass that she was holding as she swirled it around, watching the bubbles produce because of the release of carbon dioxide from the soft drink. She was told to watch TV to kill time though she did not even bother turning it on. Her head was currently full that she could not bear to let more things enter her brain from the television which contained plenty of things.“Hey, are you okay?” Olivia looked up and saw the green-haired woman with a curious and concerned look on her face as she sat down next to her while placing their food on the table in front of them.“Yeah, I’m fine,” the blonde replied

There were plenty of eyes around especially as it was daytime and the place was literally close to the hospital. Because of that, it really had become more difficult to meet up even though they wanted to.But it was not like that would stop them. The blonde walked in the café with a blank face. She had a natural posture and a calm expression on her face as she went to order a cup of cappuccino at the counter. It was currently work hours so there were not much people in the café except for people who were either having their break time from work or were just jobless.Olivia gave the barista a brief smile as she thanked him for her coffee before walking to a vacant table that was on the corner of the room, far from the entrance. She took out her phone and sipped on her coffee as soon as she sat down.“Do you even ever get a drink other than cappuccino?” On the opposite side of the room was a green-haired woman in a black leather jacket seated at a table while facing her laptop with a cu

The blonde was in deep concentration, processing the documents that started to stack because of her absence for a week. She realized how taking leaves at work were not always fun because the happiness would only stay for a specific duration, and she would later be in hell that’s hotter than before once she goes back to work.Olivia did not even notice someone entering her office because of how busy she was with her eyes glue on the computer screen, switching from the device and to the documents that were on her desk. She nearly jumped from her seat in surprise when the person knocked on her desk, making her finally look up and acknowledge the person’s presence.“Oh, Theo,” Olivia uttered as she leaned back to her seat and took her cup of coffee to take a sip on it. It was a good thing that the latter came by to her office because that would mean that she had to stop working for a while, which means that that would be her only break. “What’s up?”“Why didn’t you tell me that you had a

What was more romantic than a dinner reservation in a fast-food restaurant with a neat table that was fixed with a candle and folded napkins? Homemade dinner that would be cooked together. The rest of the night together was supposed to be romantic with the two women cooking their dinner together at the gang boss’s home. But it was not as romantic as expected.“Am I supposed to cut them like this?” asked the blonde after struggling to have her third cut on a single piece of potato.“What does it look—oh god.” The green-haired woman pursed her lips in as she gently pushed the latter aside and took the knife from her. “You’re even holding it wrong.”“Oh! I was?” She could not believe that Olivia was genuinely shocked at her statement.“Yeah. It’s basic knowledge that knives are held by the handle and not the blade,” Dakota spoke with a smile on her face to not make things serious. “It’s okay. I’ll handle it here. Just go wash the lettuce.”“Roger.” Olivia then went to the sink to finish
