Ashlyn's POV

I could barely believe it as I laid curled up beside Lucifer on the bed. I could hear the beating of his heart and the efforts he made in trying to make it steady.

My mind went back to what had happened previously. To how I took down those men like my life depended on it. The beast in me that have been sleeping had finally awoken.

Flashes of me sinking my fangs into the necks of those powerful men who could throw me off at a fling, passed through my head.

Was that really me out there? Having the agility to kill? What prompted me to do so? Was it the love I had for Lucifer that aroused such courage and aggression when I saw him about to be killed? I pondered.

Whatever it was, I felt like a new person. A new spirit was inside of me. I felt bloodthirsty, with the energy to drain life. This feeling, I believed I was ready to accept. I'll have my enemies bowing down at my feet.

My oppressors would have a feel of this new side of me should they cross my path. I closed my ey

Ashlyn's POV Beautiful days turned into deadly nights. Nights of horrors and nightmares. I could not control it rather I was under its influence. This hunger consuming my soul. A ravaging hybrid was what I had become. Seeking preys to devour. Not just to drink blood or drain energy, but to take lives and eat fleshes. This was not me, but this was what I had become since the night I was taken to lure Lucifer into a trap set for him. He had his demons to battle with and here was I having mine too. In the mornings, after coming out of his, he tries to fix and salvage mine. Whenever he places me on restraints to keep me from leaving the house to go hunt, I see naked pains in his eyes which he always tried mask. He could hide his feelings very well from me then, but now he was failing. Ripper, Rage, Stealth and Kill could hardly believe what I had turned to, including Roselia who tries to feed me real food just so I could forget about blood and flesh. It did not work. The instant it w

Lucifer's POV The final days of the full moon was over and I was temporarily free till the next full moon. At least, I would not be tormented for many months by the beast in me. It was a sheer bliss for Steel. Now it was time to concentrate on Ashlyn and her unappeasable hunger. "And also confess what's in our hearts." Steel said in my head. I was not going to deny it. The moments I've spent with Ashlyn had it effects on me. I felt at peace with her and this time around, I do not just want her body, I want her soul too. My soul yearns to be binded with hers. "Let it be, Steel," I said to him. I was yet to admit it to him. I wanted to be extremely sure this was what I wanted. Not just a mate bond to bind us together. Not just because she was my redeemer. But, because my heart was entwined with hers. Hell, I was scared of it. Scared of belonging to one person and then end up getting hurt. What if in the end, she leaves? "Too many doubts in your head." Steel said to me. It was obvio

Lucifer's POV The Minor clans were able to list out packs from the Major clans that had come to raid and oppress them and I and my comrades had done the needful. Punish them. The alphas of these packs that had led such outrageous act, we brought back to the house to be locked up in the dungeon and whipped under the early morning sun. The rest of the Major clans have been forbidden to have anything to do with the rebellious packs that had done the deed. They were not to associate in any activities with them. Neither were they to trade with them. Perhaps when starvation and death strife amongst them, they'll understand the pains of the Minors and the consequences that comes with anyone causing them harm and injustice. Kill, Rage and Ripper dragged the alphas to the dungeon and Stealth and Vino returned the horses to the stables. I walked into the house and walked up the stairs to find the temptress I had left behind earlier today. I did not find her in her room. I checked her bathro

Ashlyn's POV Lucifer returned back and began to take off his boots. "What did you go down to do? I heard voices." I said to him. "Just a little amount of what I would do to who pulled such stunt tonight." He replied. He discarded his clothes too and walked towards the bed. "I told you to let it be." I said to him. "And I do not obey orders given to me," he said, laying down beside me. "I give orders, not take them." He added, pulling the plaid off me and tugging at the zipper of my dress. I stared at him. "Should you not spare me for tonight?" I asked him, having the feeling he wanted to have sex with me. He raised a brow. "What do you think I want to do?" He asked me. "You know it." I replied, as he lifted me up, pulling the dress off me and throwing it to the floor. "Yes, I do know what I want to do." He said and as he got rid of my clothes, he pulled me closer, entwining his legs with mine. His arms wrapped around me and my body crushed on his. "Body heat is the fastest wa

Ashlyn's POV She did return and I was giving a one of a kind treatment. My nails were attended to and were perfectly manicured with a lacquer cobalt blue nail polish and so were my feet. I had even experienced how it was to be treated in a spa. The cucumbers placed on my eyes and the facial cream mask I had to wear. My hair was straightened behind my back and the tips were curled up and when it was evening, I was slipped into the sleeveless dress. The diamond necklace placed around my neck sparkled alongside the draping earrings in my ear holes. The wristlet too, fitted around my wrist and staring at the mirror, I was lost for words. Catriona had performed magic on my face. My eyebrows were highlighted and arched. On my lips was a cherry red lipstick and everything blended so well with my complexion. I slipped into the heels and Catriona latched the straps around my ankles. I picked up the bottle of perfume and sprayed it behind my ears, each side of my neck and finally on each o

Lucifer's POV We spent days at the waterfall and every morning was a whole different experience for me. I began to see the good in everything. I began to admire the sun, appreciating the beautiful blue skies. I appreciated nature too and there was this radiant smile on my face and it was coming right from inside of me. I was full of happiness and joy. Was this what it was to be truly in love? I had no doubts it was. The feelings was so pure and true. I would do anything to make this feeling last forever. Not only I was having this same glow in and out of me. Ash was having it too. Her smiles and laughter were never ending and they were very infectious on me. Her vibrance had its effects on me too. I would do whatever it takes to keep her this way. Keep her happy. Keep her smiling. Never a single day would she have a cause to be sad. Never would I let her have a reason to regret giving me her heart. I stood before the waterfall having beautiful thoughts about her and the very image

Lucifer's POVThe beating of my heart pounded in my heart so hard I could feel my ears drumming as every bit of blood felt like it was draining from my body. I felt like I was in a dream. Like I was standing in front of an illusion. It was impossible. The dead could not come back to life. Not in this part of Glasgow. Witches have been in extinct and any one caught in the act was executed. Flashes of the night she died went through my head. I killed her myself. Not intentionally, but I did murder her. She smiled. Exactly as before. There was not a single change in her either. Was I hallucinating? No. I have not even thought of her for a very long time. "Is this a way to welcome your love back, Lucifer?" She asked, still with a smile. Hopefully someone would wake me up from this dream. This was a dream, I was sure of it. "This cannot be true." I said, finding it hard to breathe properly and momentarily forgetting Ashlyn was by my side. She smiled again. "It is true, Lucifer. I have

Lucifer's POV I would never have believed it even in my wildest dreams that Celine would ever return here. To me. I did not have the luxury to ask her why now for this new development has suddenly brought unexplainable chaos to my life. I laid on the bed with Ashlyn curled to my body, locking her away from hearing my thoughts as Celine flooded my head. Images of how we met and the few months I had spent with her. I did not know what I should call the affection I had for her back then. Was it love or was it just pure attraction? One thing I could agree to was it was different from what I was feeling for Ashlyn. Way different from it. My love for Ashlyn was unconditional and.. Just then, my thoughts was interrupted by several knocks on the door. Ashlyn stirred up in her sleep. "Who could that be?" She asked. "I do not know," I said to her. "Let me see who it is." I added, placing a kiss on her head and leaving the bed. I walked towards the door and opened it. There was Celine standi

Ashlyn's POV I had left the pack house earlier that morning to the river and that was when a shot was fired at me leaving me unconscious. I was regaining consciousness when I heard Lucifer renounce his position as the Laird and when Hawking had let his guard down and I took the chance to take the gun from him without wasting time, I fired the rifle. Hell let loose as bullets and arrows flew around. Lucifer transformed immediately and as an arrow was fired towards me, he stood in front of me, grabbing the arrow and breaking it into two before running over to the shooter to rip his head off. His comrades too had shifted and many of the pack warriors were coming out of the territory. The battle was fierce as the battalion of rebels took over fighting too. Lucifer ex mistresses all charged towards me and had also transformed into their forms except Sofia. Celine transformed into a werewolf and Sia, Juliette and Meredith transformed into Lycanthropes.I let Iona take control and shifte

Roselia's POV I heaved. It was time the Lady knew about the alpha. "Come with me, dear," I said motioning to her to follow me to my room. She did. We got to my room and I locked the door. "Come sit with me." I said holding her hand and leading her to the bed. We both sat down. She had curiosity written allover her. "It was forty decades ago when Queen Katrin, Lucifer's mother was married to Alpha Charles, Lucifer's father and I was her trusted and youngest servant. She was married to him for years without a child and when a decade passed without her still not carrying his child, she decided to go the extra mile just to get a child." I said to her. She stared at me paying rapt attention. "Another year passed again and when she could not get a child from the moon goddess, she went to the witches of the night to get one. That was how she got Lucifer." I said to her and she gasped in shock. "She told me that a pentagram was drawn and the witch she had gone to was a dark witch who co

Ashlyn's POV I sat on the ground in the study room crying my eyes out till noon. If I could believe that he had nothing to do with Celine, why does he not believe that I have nothing to do with Stye? I stood up from the floor wiping my tears. Crying would not solve my problem. I have to prove my innocence. I walked out of the study room and bumped into Celine. "Pardon me," she said, smirking. At that moment, all of my frustrations and anger rose up again. "You bitch!" I said to her in anger as I pulled her by the hair. "Have you gone crazy? Let me go!" She yelled at me. I refused. "Listen to me you nitwit, I know you have a hand in everything happening to me. I just know it." I said to her. She freed herself from my grasp. "Do not accuse me for your infidelity, Ashlyn," she said in anger. "I did not ask you to spread your legs for another man to lay with you." She added snickering. "You know I did not do it. I'll prove my innocence, I promise you." I said to her and she snicke

Ashlyn's POV Three days passed, and today was the day Lucifer was to return back to the house and to me. I was anticipating his return. Ripper, Stealth, and Roselia had played a good part of keeping me out of boredom till he returns. I was seated at the dining area when Roselia brought in a tray having a cup of tea, bread, grits and gravy, sausages and devilled eggs on it. "Is this not too much?" I asked her in surprise as she placed it in front of me. She chuckled. "No, milady. You need to eat more than drink blood." She said to me. I smiled at her. "Thank you." I said to her as I began to munch on the breakfast before me. "You're glowing so much today, milady. I'm sure it's your anticipation for the Laird's return." She said to me smiling and I blushed and nodded. I took a sip from the tea and placed it back on the saucer. Before I could take another bite from the sausage, the urge to throw up took over and I turned aside and vomited blood on the floor. "Oh my, are you alrig

Ashlyn's POV He held me in arms in that position for a long time till my tears could no longer flow down my cheeks. I raised my head up to look at him, and his was filled with warm emotions. He held my chin in between his thumb and index finger. "There's never going to be another woman in my life, Ash. Not in this life or the next." He said to me and I believed him. I should have known it was another scheme of Celine to separate us. I do believe him but why does he not believe me? I opened my mouth to speak, but he stopped me. "Do not say a word." He said as he placed his lips on mine. • Morning approached quickly and the familiar warmth that laid beside me last night was gone and replaced with an empty and cold bed. I opened my eyes and indeed Lucifer was no longer beside me. I got up to a sitting position on the bed and sighed. Then I had a weird feeling that everything was about change. Just then, Lucifer walked into my room. The door was still broken and unfixed. He was a

Ashlyn's POVIt was noon when I finally stepped out of my room. I walked down the stairs feeling very famished. Hungry for food and a little blood too. I walked into the kitchen to find Roselia making lunch with a few helps in the kitchen too. "Just a few minutes, milady and lunch would be ready." She said just as if she knew why I was here. I chuckled as I went towards a tin of biscuits. "I can have this till lunch is ready init?" I asked her. She smiled. "Yes, milady." She said. I opened the tin of biscuits and munched on a few before heading out of the kitchen. Maybe I should speak to Lucifer and see if I could get a bag of blood or two. I walked towards the living room and saw Alpha Hawking walking into the house with his beta beside him. His eyes lit the instant he saw me. "My days on earth have been blessed to have seen the goddess of beauty herself this noon." He said to me. I faked a smile at his flattery. I really do not know why Lucifer trusted this man when everything

Lucifer's POV I sat on the couch rubbing my aching neck the next morning. I was not fully awake yet due to the fact that I had a very uncomfortable and sleepless night. I had slept on the couch due to my anger towards Ash, and now I was regretting it. Maybe I should not have gone to sleep while still upset with her but, I just could not believe what she had come up with just for me to look past her mistake. Steel too had added to my sleepless night with his talks and anger toward me. I was glad he finally kept quiet this morning. "Did you sleep on the couch?" I heard Celine's voice and looked up to see her standing behind a couch opposite me. I groaned. "Yeah, I did," I said to her. "On your wedding night?" She asked raising a brow. I frowned at her. "Are you here to mock me or say something better?" I asked her. I was not in a big mood for taunts or teasing. She knew very well I did not get married yesterday. "Why would I mock you, Lucifer? You claim she's your mate and she cl

Ashlyn's POV He was no longer wearing his wedding attire, but his usual signature look. Long black breeks, knee boots and sleeves unbuttoned to his chest. "Satisfied your cravings?" He asked me, not in a cold, harsh or sweet way. I could not tell what he was thinking, for he was not portraying any emotions. I shook my head. "I did not do it. I controlled myself." I said to him. Anger flashed in his eyes and he quickly masked it. "Good for you." He said rising to his feet and walked past me. "I'm sorry." I said turning around to his retreating figure. I did not know if he wanted an apology, but to me he deserved it. He turned around sharply and this time I could see his emotions. It was anger and he was trying to control it. "For what?" He asked in pretense. "For leaving when the wedding was still in hold." I replied, looking down at my feet. The smell of blood was not gone and I was beginning to wonder where it was from. "Spare me." He said, walking away. "Lucifer, please, I'

Ashlyn's POV Dawn took extremely too long to come and I guessed it was due to my over excitement for today. Noon did the same thing and when evening slowly approached, I was seated in front of the vanity mirror with Roselia and a couple other ladies beside me. Catriona had returned back to her homeland with her brother and it was crazy how much I missed having her around. Right now, I was surrounded by ladies I see in the pack, but do not know them and that I had barely associated with. It was all going to change when I finally become the Lady of the house.
