Even more money!

Bored! Bored and bored! It had only been a few days and I was already relying on Blake, Axel, Tucker and Lance to keep me occupied. Reliance! I didn’t like relying on people and gave myself a big ticking off.

I’d eaten so much recently, that I decided to skip breakfast and would make up for it at lunch. Yet again I was tidying up Blake’s side of the room. She must think a cleaning fairy tidies her bed all the time. This girl was amazing yet a bit of a slob.

By lunchtime, Blake still hadn’t returned and without a mobile phone, I couldn’t text her, even if I had her number, to see if she was okay. I headed to the canteen, starving and ready to over-indulge into today’s menu.

As I queued up, I noticed that Nadine was back in the kitchen along with two other women. I served myself a bowl of soup, a bread roll, a bowl of French fries…yes really, and a hot dog. I really was hungry. As I grabbed a bottle of water from the drinks fridge I feel a small hand touch my arm. I

Accustomed to mind pain.Hong and I freeze in our tracks looking at the angry five lycans baring their teeth to us. Lance’s eyes turn from their hypnotic brown-orange to the hot molten lava red that burn into my head. Axel, Tucker and Mav are just as angry, as they continue to growl at us. I look to Blake who has crossed her arms in front of her chest, dropped her hip and tapping a foot against the ground. “I told you to stay here!” She scolds me. I didn’t realise I was a child that needed to report my whereabouts. “I skipped breakfast waiting and then decided to have lunch. I then needed to pop into town!” I was really taken aback by their attitudes and the anger radiating off them. They all had very strong lycan auras. “Town is shut on a Sunday! Why did you leave?” Axel shouts at me with his hands clenched either side of his legs. “It doesn’t matter!” I respond trying to brush it off. “It clearly does! You left a secure environment during a security breach!” Mav retorts. “I di

Skirting around the facts. I turn off the water from the shower and hear raised voices in the next room, where Blake and I sleep. I don’t have the energy for this right now so I quickly get changed and with my hair still wet, climb out of the bathroom window. I wanted to use one of the computers in the break out room to look at apartments and research possible areas. I don’t plan to drive at any time during my life, so it would need to have good train and bus links so I could still get around. As I placed my feet down on the ground outside I hear a throat being cleared behind me. I turn around just as I close the window to see the Alpha looking at me. “My office now!” He orders at me. Like a naughty school girl I follow him with dripping wet hair, through the courtyard into a building I hadn’t entered before. Through door after door and up a flight of stairs, we finally entered an office which I presume was the Alpha’s. “Take a seat!” The Alpha points to a small brown leather sofa

Cottage pie and some sharing. I quickly grab my bottle of water and busy myself to cool myself down. “Aida?” My name on his lips sends a buzz to my core and I don’t ever want him to stop. “Hhmm?” Is all I can manage. It’s okay though, because it sounds like I’m busy with my dinner. Not at all imagining his tongue vibrating down below. Aida stop it! “The men…” He starts but I cut him off. “They meant no harm, I think they just forgot I was just a she-wolf.” I turn so that he could see my face. “Oh believe me they knew!” He responds with a small growl. “Oh!” “And you aren’t just a she-wolf!” “Says the Lycan who tried to command me earlier.” I raise an eyebrow at him before turning back to finish my dinner. “We came back from a threat to the King, to find you weren’t here and Hong was also gone. I was worried.” He walks closer to me and I can feel his aura closely behind me. “You don’t need to worry about me!” I’m sure he has plenty of she-lycans he can worry about and wrap up

Revenge!I woke up the next day with a new lease on life. Most people would think the morning October sun or the robin sitting on the outside windowsill would give such a lust for the day. But no, not me! I had one thing keeping my blood flowing through my veins with such warmth. Revenge! Revenge on the man who leaked all my private information to get ahead. Today was going to be a fun day. I was up and dressed, ready for breakfast before they had even fired up the ovens. It was Monday morning and the first full week of training since arriving here. I made small chit chat at breakfast but nothing was going to take me out of my focus. Pure and utter annihilation at training. He may be an Alpha’s son, but I was trained by one of the best warriors known to werewolf kind and he never took it easy on me. Today was going to be a good day! The courtyard was filled with training mats, weights, ropes, tyres, barrels and, yes, throwing knives! Interestingly Lance entered the courtyard from th

Wolf vs wolf “Aida!” Lance tries to snap me out of my sadistic mood but my wolf is dancing around in my head and she will get what I promised her. Revenge! Hong releases me but doesn’t move away from me. “You two, here!” The Alpha clicks his fingers at us. He was clearly irritated with our werewolf ways but he can’t change centuries of rituals in one afternoon. I’m not really sure what is happening around me. I don’t notice the other trainees sparring, all I see is Hong, all I want is Hong. He charges at me and I have to act fast. I let him catch me and throw me to the ground because as I roll him I manage to end up on top. I punch him in the jaw with quite a lot of force and his head whips from the impact. He pushes me off him in my chest, which throws me back and winds me for a second. He jumps back up rubbing his jaw that is already starting to show signs of bruising. For the next twenty minutes we continue to punch, push, elbow jab, kick and growl. I’m bruised, I’m bleeding,

Movie night “Report to me at my office 7am sharp!” Alpha orders at me before leaving, following Lance out the door. Doctor Wessex takes a step forward and clears his throat, because the room has turned extremely quiet. “Aida, is it okay if I check you over?” He asks. “Erm sure!” I respond looking at Blake for help. I didn’t want to lift my T-shirt again in front of the men. “Use the bedroom Doctor, Aida will feel more at ease with some privacy.” I felt like a child! I can’t believe she worded it like that.I follow Doctor Wessex to Lance’s bedroom and close the door behind me. It is a tidy bedroom with grey linen on the bed, a grey carpet, a dark walnut wood bed frame and matching furniture. It was minimalistic which led me to believe that this wasn’t actually Lance’s home. Just a place to stay when training or maybe his hook up place. My wolf growls at me for making such a suggestion. “Take a seat Aida!” Doctor Wessex gestures for me to sit on the end of the bed. The bed has a

Flashing Lights The way that Mav, Tucker, Axel and Blake were around Lance last night confirmed my suspicions that he was a Head Trainer, if not part of the close warrior team sworn in to directly protect the King and Royal family. Most of my intel is gained from when people think I am asleep! It was 6.30am and I had slept quite well considering my upcoming jail time in thirty minutes. Lance must have slept on the couch as the bed was cold on the side I hadn’t slept on. I hear a faint knock on the apartment door and hear Lance’s foot steps on the floor of his apartment. I very carefully walk over to his bedroom door and slightly open it ajar to find out who is visiting him so early in the morning. “Yes?” He grunts as he opens the door. “Sir, we are here for Aida Sagar! Orders from the Alpha!” I hear a male voice. The Alpha had the nerve of questioning my honour, of questioning whether I would attend my own punishment! Irritated by the insult on my character, I storm out of the b

The tidy up. I manage to move myself back under the table. I’d rather the world melted me away at this moment. I’m assuming the ransom girl was me, why did the rogue want me and who would they think would pay the ransom. My brother certainly wouldn’t, and if I paid the ransom myself, I’d have no money to buy my own place to escape to. They must have heard a pack princess was here, which meant someone from inside was leaking information to the rebels. The cell door unlocks with a thud and is slowly pushed open. Five pair of shoes, Blake unbelievably wearing heels even in battle, walk into the cell. “Aida?” Axel calls my name in a hushed tone. “Check the bathroom!” Lance orders. “I’m here!” I bleakly respond from under the table. All heads whip around and all eyes focus on me under the table. They all tilt their heads to the side, in that sympathetic look which grates on me every time. Lance takes a step towards me and crouches down to match my height level on the floor. “Are you h

Finally the truth! “What is going on?” Ricardo seeks out information due to my current lack of speech. “Your majesty, Alpha Ike is in the final stages.” The pack doctor responds respectfully to Ricardo. “What?” I gasp out loud. I knew he was ill, Alpha Hansen had warned me Father had months but I thought even that was exaggerated. I didn’t expect weeks! “Aida?” He removes his oxygen mask and places his hand out for me to hold. What is this? The confessions of a dying man. Admitting sins to the moon goddess. I should be sad, any normal daughter would be sobbing at the scene in front of her. But I wasn’t a normal daughter, I was shunned for so long I wasn’t sure my heart would ever return here. “Let’s give them some privacy.” Ricardo orders. “Aida…I’ll be downstairs if you need me!” He whispers into my ear. I don’t miss the scowl Saskia gives me for being in favour with the Lycan King. Oh if only you knew sweetheart. My growl back to her is enough for Henri to growl threateningly a

The biggest of sins. We were due to leave in a few hours time. I now had no hold-all so I was in the Alpha’s office waiting for Luna Rennie to find me a replacement bag. I had knocked on the door to ask having not seen Alpha Ray or Luna Rennie since Lance’s and Axel’s departure. Alpha Ray was visiting the hospital and Luna was due to join him after finding me a bag. Rory walks into the office with a hold-all in hand, passing it over to me. “Here, Mum said you needed a bag, use this one.” “Thank you, I’ll get it sent back.”“Don’t worry about it.” He waves his hands in the air. “Alpha Rory, I’m really sorry that I brought all this trouble on your doorstep.” My guilt had only been growing since Lynx told me Nadine had flagged that I was looking to put their baby up for adoption. The Mulder pack being the only one to do it in the country. “Aida, we consider you part of the family now, we’d always protect you.” He earnestly says as he sits at his Father’s desk. “Even so….is there any

A mission. By the time we returned to the cars, Fern, the witch, had disappeared and Lance and Ricardo were now free. We decide to hold back all information until we are back safely at the Mulder pack, where we demand an emergency meeting with all Lycans, Tate and the Mulder Alpha family. The journey back was awkward, Lance growling constantly in the back seat with me firmly placed on his lap. Poor Rafe who was in the back with us again, looked terrified the Lycan Prince was going to lash out at any moment. Between myself, Mav and Axel we informed the trusted parties what we had learnt and what we had been told. Blake couldn’t get her head around Lynx and Spike switching places, taking turns at training and even with Nadine. Lance’s grip on my hips as I sat on his lap was incredibly intense. I knew the two hours deadline by Lynx didn’t give us a lot of time, the discussions were rushed and had a sense of panic to them. “Can we spare anyone that can follow him?” Ricardo puts to the

A revelation in the woods. My wolf had a very strong feeling to go to the tree line when I noticed activity on night watch the night before the attack. I couldn’t explain it, it was just a gut feeling I had. But I knew I couldn’t go alone, I would never do that to Lance or Axel. Florence and Jade wouldn’t have me making my own food, so they were currently putting a massive luncheon on the dining table. Typical shifters…the smell of food and they come running. Within minutes, Axel and I were joined by the lycans, Tate, and the Mulder family. Lance lovingly kissed my neck but then went on to pick out sausages, burgers and bacon. He went for the French fries but a growl from my chest made it very clear I had first dibs. He chuckled at my behaviour before standing me up, sitting on my chair and then pulling me into his lap. Chairs had clearly been borrowed from pack member’s homes to fit all the guests around the table. I waited until they at least had some food in their bellies before I

Not a good patient. I couldn’t breathe! I was kicking and clawing at the male on top of me holding my throat in his hands. Moments from death I look up over my head at the male that had just entered the room. No it can’t be? He is dead. I was there when he died. He’s looking at me with regret, he didn’t want this, he didn’t want me like this. What did he want, to talk? We were beyond talking. If he really was alive, I’d kill him with my own hands. “Aida…Aida wake up.” Lance’s gentle voice calls to me in my sleep. It’s like being called to the safety of a lighthouse in the darkest and stormiest of seas. I must have fallen asleep in his arms. His regular steady breathing creating a calming repetitive rhythm that was similar to being rocked to sleep. “Lance?” I had forgotten about my throat before I called out his name. It still stung but I could now at least talk. It was hoarse sounding, but it could be understood. “Aida?” He greets my voice with a kiss to my neck, which leads me to

Bruised and Silent. With my breathing restricted, I pull my eyes back on the wolf on top of me, as my mind starts to sink into darkness. Before my remaining eye closes I hear monstrous growls, Lycan growls. At first I panic, thinking that they did have lycan rebels on stand by. But then his scent hits me, toffee and plum, the richness of his scent just as strong as ever. It’s the best way for me to go. Knowing he was close by. I turn my head slightly to see Axel, Tucker, Mav and even Ricardo have entered the school assembly hall. Ricardo is surrounded by seven males I didn’t know but judging by their similar looks, these were Blake’s older brothers. They didn’t hold any terror in their eyes, just a thirst for blood. An almost competitive look to who can kill the most rebel rogues. The Lycans are like a tidal wave, wiping out everything in their path, without hesitation. I thought for a moment that Lance was coming to me, his scent was closer but then it becomes slightly distant agai

Special chapter. Lance’s point of view Fighting for his love. My anger was fading. I had spent almost a week in Lycan wolf form and getting back to nature was just what I needed. Aida marking me took me by surprise, I expected myself to mark her before she was eighteen, not the other way round. The moment she arrived for training and got out of that car with Trey, my world stopped. I didn’t know how to react at first, my honest disbelief that the Moon Goddess would pair me with a she-wolf. But then I watched her, she was anything but a she-wolf. If anything her she-wolf status held her back. She was made for me, made to be the princess by my side and that was before I knew she was a pack princess. Time and time again, I had to listen to stories from others about how she had been neglected and I couldn’t…didn’t want to believe the abusive stories I had been told at the hands of her Father, Brother and Luna, until I witnessed things for myself on the King’s pack visit. The witches a

Fighting alone. I gently place Olivia back on the floor and stand up to talk quietly to the teachers. Realistically I was the closest thing to a warrior. I was the only one trained enough to defend all these children. “Have you heard from either of the Alphas?” I whisper to the male teacher. “No, I can’t get through.” Damn what I would give for a mind-link right now. “Why would intruders be breaking into the school?” I whisper. “We don’t know.” Mrs Townsend responds in a state of nerves. Yep, I literally was the only one trained to fight. Whatever comes through those assembly hall doors would have to kill me to get to these children. “Okay…is there anywhere safe to hide the children? I ask the collection of teachers. “The bunker…but it’s near the pack house.” The male teacher responds. “If I cause a distraction and you see a chance, take the children there.” I command at the teachers. “They aren’t meant to get through the school, if they can get through the school…they can g

Night time patrol. If this was punishment, then sign me up anytime. I mean I was pushed hard at training. I was taking part in night time patrol, which Tate spent every night scowling at me, he was my punishment buddy. I was spending all day at the school with the children and also helping the Alpha Ray and Alpha Rory out with pack administration. I was waiting for Alpha Ray to come find me to lock me in their basement, to refuse me food…but this pack was everything a wolf pack should be. I spent every meal time giggling with Rafe, while Rory rolled eyes at our immature behaviour. I was sincerely considering asking Alpha Ray if I could join the Mulder pack after graduation. To adopt them as my new family. “So Aida, what is the plan for after training?” Luna Rennie asked last night at dinner. “I’m not really sure. I know I do not want to return back to the Sagar pack. Actually I was considering maybe joining this pack…if you’d have me?”“You don’t want to return home?” Luna Rennie
