“Go a ways back? You mean like when you were kids?” I asked Theo

“Something like that” Leo chimed in darkly

Both of their facial expressions gave nothing away as to why they clearly didn’t like one another, but Theo’s eyes glittered in the dimly lit area the three of us stood in. I couldn’t be sure but his eyes seemed to hint at something but as quick as the emotions came they were gone

“Your not gonna tell me right now are you?” I looked between Leo and Theo inquisitively

Leo looked on at Theo in askance as I waited for them to clarify

“No Doll, right now is not the time for that story” Theo grabbed my hand in his pulling my gaze from Leo who was now walking into the woods

“Get her back inside” he instructed

“Oh and Theodeus, don’t get to comfortable here” Leo shifted back into his huge silver wolf barreling off threw the trees out of sight

“Still as welcoming as a cactus I see” he chuckled dryly shaking his head

“Not usually, I’ve never seen Leo treat anyone in a way they didn

Theodeus POV I couldn’t let her go alone to her office, Ares wouldn’t have it either so we went after her. The initial shock I had seeing a burn caused by her bare hands paled in comparison to the pure static electricity radiating around her as she stormed off it was almost like a trail she left behind. I couldn’t fathom the way she was feeling right now since nobody has filled her in on a damn thing, she says she’s not a shifter but humans don’t get hot enough to burn anything let alone hot enough to cause permanent damage to a shifters skin. It made no sense to me why it happened but yet it did and instead of being able to help her figure out this world she has unknowingly been living in for the last 10 years, now I want to help her figure out what she is. I know it sounds like I’m being selfish but there’s nothing selfish about needing to be near her, Ares noticed she was different the moment he herd her voice on the phone. Ever since then she is all he can talk about. Except for r

I looked down at Bec one more time as I followed Leo out to the hallway, unsure of the time we didn’t linger there we walked outside and headed to where Leo was staying. Once we got inside his room he confirmed what I already had been thinking “I don’t know how much Bec knows about Dorians death but she was the one who was told about it being a murder” I was wrong, so wrong no wonder she is hostile not only did he mess her up in the head while he was alive but he couldn’t even give her peace after he died. “Who is sick in the head enough to tell her that?” “It being her truth to tell I can only say it was a Demon. Asmodeus has been involved and now some time in august The 7 will also be here since they hold information Connor wants” “Has he gone completely mad?!” I snarled at him “Easy save it for another time, definitely not with me” he deadpanned “Bring the 7 here? I wish to the goddess you didn’t just tell me that!” “Listen it’s more than just about Dorians death, Connor believes w

Releasing them from their bonds in the air as he completed the shift I caught him as he continued his screams “Just kill me Connor!!! I don’t want to see another sun to rise!! 800 years is long enough!” He continued to sob threw his yelling of obscenity’s begging me to end him, attempting to provoke Fenris saying anything to call him out but we refused to engage his requests. There was no right way of doing things when it came to Nikolai so when I found him he was quite literally on the edge of a cliff. Fenris stirs in the back of my mind spurring me on to be quick, I'll only astral project for a few moments just to be sure Bec didn't run Leo off. That's the only explanation for a while that I could settle in my mind as to why Leo hasn't reached out, he simply didn't have anything to report back to me on. As proud as he is, admitting she is simply just to difficult to handle he chose to stay silent. So therefore because I know first hand Bec can be intolerable at times I do not need to justify any other reason as to why I am projecting secretly into Becs bedroom I need to see for myself she okay. Leo has never betrayed me before which is why I know I can trust him to convey to me the things I cannot be present for while keeping my anonymity but that doesn't mean Bec didn't pull one over on him to lead him astray. Which if I find that to be the case he will be punished for letting a small girl bully him instead of listening to his Alpha. I should be mad at her for her defiance but al

I turned right around and headed for my car, once I was far enough away from him just to test my theory I spoke out loud to him"Leo go back to the winery I need to go handle an issue with permits" I looked at him over the roof of my car waiting to see if I was right, I didn't know if I wanted to be.Leo looked at me and tiled his head slightly slowly turning to the left and right. My stomach dropped.I was right.I shoved my shock down, remembering what Fenris said about their ability's.Hearing, sight, smell, healing and speed. Who knew what the hell else they could have, I tried to compose myself and put my car in reverse heading to the Department of revenue office and if I was lucky and had time I'd head over to the court house to start my maiden name process. Maybe those errands will help me take my mind off the fact I have a Werewolf as a damn Bodyguard.I doubt it.30 minutes later I was pulling into a parking spot with a meter in front of a white marble building, I didn't know

I knew the drive home would be long with the storm that came in. It took over an hour to get back to the vineyard and Leo followed safely behind me. I still didn't now how this arrangement was supposed to work. The cottage only had one bedroom how was he supposed to keep guard here the entire time? How much sleep do werewolves need? not to mention how often do they need to let their wolf out? I don't even know what to call it. Transforming? shapeshifting? Mutating? We pulled into the parking lot and made our way to the white gate I used my key card this time to raise the bar so we could enter. The drive way wound in an S shape all the way to the the gravel clearing that made getting in and out easy. The sun was still in the sky but I was already ready to clock out for the day. We parked and I grabbed the duffels I had in my trunk and headed inside to my room. I dug around and found some loose fitting shorts and my house slippers, I changed quickly in the bathroom.I didn't feel like u

All I knew for certain was one of them was my friend and I couldn’t just leave him to get killed. I could still hear thuds and growls as I slowly stepped over broken tree limbs trying to keep myself hidden so I could have the upper hand of a surprise attack. I didn’t hear anymore thuds or sounds of them attacking each other as I came up to were I seen both of them moving slowly circling one another. Neither one looked like they were ready to back down any time soon teeth were still bared and low rumbling could still faintly be herd from both massive wolves. I took another step while crouched down but snapping branches under my feet gave me away.SHITBoth wolves heads snapped in my direction two sets of glowing eyes were now fixed on me watching as I stood up straight. It was the black wolf that made a move in my direction. It’s silver eyes looked like moonlight so bright and clear as it’s posture softened no longer could I see it’s teeth but I could hear and see it’s breath in the ai

laying on my futon couch scrolling on my phone it’s been over an hour since Theo walked me the rest of the way to my office and since then my mind has been replaying our passionate encounter, I was swept literally off my feet by him but I couldn’t wrap my head around as to what to do now. After going in circles in my mind I eventually got restless and decided to do something I haven’t done since I was in high school. Getting up from where I was laying I dug threw my bags and found a sports bra along with a pair of black tight leggings slipping them on and my sweater I tied my bright colored Nike trainers on and slipped out of my office and down the hallway to the door to the back portion of the property.I was severely out of shape but I figured jogging was like riding a bike you never forget right? I knew going outside in the middle of the night was probably not the best idea but Leo being my local werewolf bodyguard meant he was probably out there and with that fact I couldn't think

“This seat taken?” He motioned to it with a drink in his hand“Nope” I made sure to pop the P as he sat down in the large wooden chair that he filled with his massive frame. I watched him with hooded eyes as the shadows from the fire danced around us. I greedily ran my eyes over his form. I watched in fascination as his thigh muscles rippled with every slight movement under the jeans he was wearing. His upper half was covered in a hoodie that fit his bulky form deliciously. I knew from seeing him earlier that the dark cotton material was hiding all the mouthwatering dips and curves of muscle his t-shirts did a wonderful job of highlighting, he was perfect I really meant it when I said he was built like a God. Unsure as to why he was here in front of me I broke the silence first“What are you doing here still?” Not that I mind too much but nonetheless I was curious“Does it bother you I am here?” He hummed his question not looking at me but at the fire“Why do you care what bothers me?
