Chapter 21: An Ominous Problem

The sun was up and shining bright this morning. It was one of those days when you would want to wake up and just enjoy the cheerfulness that the nature spread around you. You could see passing smiles on almost everybody’s face as they went about their daily work.

But it had taken me some time to realize that it wasn’t because of the day that had plastered such smile on their faces, it was because of the new rumor and drama that had enfolded yesterday night about Clay and Sofia that was causing it.

It was sadistic to like this so much but I really wanted Clay to get to know how it felt being at the receiving end of the vicious judgements. I wanted to see him frowning and hiding from the gazes of the people that were laughing at him, that would keep on following him like a terrible shadow. I wanted him to hear the deliberate whispers of spite and humor that people were spreading about him. I wanted to see his head hang down in shame but-
