Chapter Three Hundred and Sixty One

Celeste's POV

Though I eat my food, I wasn’t particularly hungry and when I move to stand, to gather the empty plates Zeus demands I sit.

“Sit back down,” he demands.

I don’t want to listen, I try my hardest to ignore his demand but his aura is strong, despite the fact Theseus has sworn to challenge him.

I bare my neck in submission, my body following his demand despite my mind saying other wise.

“Zeus,” I mutter unhappily.

“Hati, clean the dishes,” he demands again.

His tone is low, sultry and meaningful and for once in Hati’s life he does as he’s asked instead of doing as he wants.

I watch with disdain as he takes the plates I was using as a tool to busy myself and I twiddle my thumbs as I ensure Hati washes them promptly.

I hate him standing there in my kitchen, I hate him here in my house at all, if I’m honest.

Why must he be here, when he belongs down there?

I feel Zeus watching me, his eyes boring into my skin as he assesses me assessing Hati.
