Camille's POV
I've been kidnapped and locked somewhere but I have no idea where I was. I was blindfolded and when I tried to sniff the room, I couldn't smell anything and even my mouth was gagged. I found no reason why anyone would want to hurt me because the last time I checked, I had no enemies and I had no money. It is the only reason why anyone would want to attack me.A door creaked open and I heard footsteps heading toward me. Before I knew what was happening, I was grabbed by the hand and dragged like a rag. Because I couldn't see anything, I had no idea where they were taking me and I couldn't even scream. I only struggled against them but my strength was all a waste because I could feel the muscles of my assailant and from how they grabbed me like a child, they were probably giants. Why would any giant want to kidnap you? I thought and thought of something else.Maybe they were thugs that were heavily built and someone had paid for myAxel POV"I thought you said you've gotten a call from one Of your boys. Why I'm not seeing any trace of his car!" I yelled at Marcus who sat beside me in my car while we drove to the spot Marcus believed Camille might be. "He already said he would bring her to your office but you were adamant and wanted to rescue her yourself!" Marcus retorted. "You think I would wait for him to bring my mate!" I shouted and gripped my hands tight on the wheels. "She was kidnapped because of me!""Stop yelling àt me!" Marcus placed his phone in front of me and pointed to the tracking app. "We are close to him. They are on this route!"I bite my lips and pushed his phone off my face. I tapped my hands on the steering wheel and inhaled deeply while thinking about who the enemy might be. Who would have been so stupid enough to kidnap my mate? "I am going to rip them apart!" My Lycan Nal shouted. "Shift to me and let me kill them!""Ther
Camille POVI yawned and stretched as my eyes fluttered open. I stared at the chandelier hung on the ceiling and rolled over to the other side until I hit someone. I visibly gulped and looked beside me wondering how someone was beside me. It could be Alina, I had thought but I was wrong. It was Axel whose eyes were closed and his arms behind his head. His upper body was naked and my hand longed to touch his bare chest and it did. My hand trailed from his chest down to his stomach and when it went lower, it was stopped by Axel whose eyes fluttered open and he turned me over and was on top of me. "What are you doing?" He demanded. My heart, beat hard against my rib cage when he stared at me with his beautiful obsidian eyes which caused my whole body to shake like I was electrified. "I asked you a question," he reminded me and bite his lower lips. My eyes went to his pinkish plump lips and I wished he could kiss me right there on the bed
Axel's POV"What happened?" Camille moaned out in pain on my bed as her eyes fluttered open. She rubbed her head and rose from the bed. I quickly rushed to her side and grabbed her hand."Camille," I called. "Are you okay?" I asked. She nodded in response and raised her head to look at me and when our eyes met, she screamed and pushed me away. "Get away from me, you disgusting beast," She covered herself up with a blanket hiding from me. "Did our mate just call me a beast?" Nal growled in my head. "Is this a form of rejection!"I ignored him and grabbed the blankets pulling them off Camille's body. She screamed and covered her eyes. "Don't come closer to me," she cried out. "Don't touch me please," she begged. "How do you mean?" I asked and pulled her hands from her face. "It's me, Axel. What are you so afraid of?" I placed my hand on her shoulder but she slapped it away. "You are a beast!" She declared and I could s
Camille's POV"How long are you going to keep sulking in that room!" Alina shouted and slammed her fists on my room door "I don't know what's going on with you but I've got you!" She assured me but I ignored her and rolled to the left side of my bed instead. It's been two days since I found out that Axel was a Lycan. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him shift in front of me. It was a rare sight and I almost had a heart attack because I never believed another world existed except the human world until I met Vladimir who almost killed me and I found out that I was a witch. Sounds pretty stupid to me because it's all happened at once. I had thought going to AX gallery would make me a famous Painter but instead, it opened my eyes to a world of supernaturals. A world I never thought existed. A world I had always believed didn't exist. "I hope you come out of your room and explained what happened between you and your boss!" Alina shouted. "In case you don't know, Your boss did a lo
Axel POVI never expected that Vladimir could strike again and attacked my mate. I had no idea what he wanted from me. I made it clear to him five hundred years ago that I wasn't going to give him my blood. He wanted it from me but I wasn't ready to give them because having a taste of my blood would give him an eternity and being a Cunning Vampire, Vladimir was going to ruin everyone's life if he stays alive for years. Thanks to Marcel who came on time to save them. If he had not come then my mate would have been taken away by Vladimir again. "How do you know that Vladimir would be here again?" I questioned Marcus who couldn't keep his eyes off Alina. I figured they were mates when He called her mate. Marcus has been searching for a second chance mate when his mate died years ago and now that he had found her, he would probably stick to her side forever but Alina didn't have a calm personality like Camille. Being with her in a car when Camille was kidnapped confirmed that she was a
Camille POV"We are here!" Alina yawned and tried to stretch her arms. That was when she realized Marcel's head was on her shoulder. "Hey wolfie," she pushed his head until it hit the window. Marcel's eyes fluttered open and he rubbed his head and looked at Alina. "You could have tapped me, baby girl. That hurt so much," he rubbed his head again and opened the car door. I smiled at their interaction and wondered if they could be together. Alina needed a man in her life and I hope Marcel could be the one. I had no idea why Marcel wanted to be with Alina but I knew it had to do with the mate thing Axel discussed with me. We all came out of the car and headed into the penthouse. "Welcome sir," The receptionist bowed his head as We made our way in. Axel and Marcel ignored him while Alina and myself greeted the Man. We all made our way into the Elevator that seemed too small because of Axel and Marcel's intense glares every few seconds. "Your home is amazing!" Alina commented as we m
Camille POVI screamed from my sleep in agony as I felt my body on fire. I tossed on the bed and kicked the person beside me. "Hey Camille," Alina shouted my name as she fell to the marble floor. "I......," I groaned out in pain unable to form any words. I held my stomach that was on fire and I felt my inside getting tied by a knot. It was hell and I thought that I was going to die. Alina stood up and rushed to my side. "What's going on?" She asked and touched my shoulder but her touch sent another wave of pain to my body. It was as if her touch was made of flaming fire. "Don't touch me," I begged and turned to the other side of the bed. "You don't have to worry," I said through gritted teeth and screamed out yet again. "What exactly is wrong with you?" Alina demanded. I could hear the anxiety in her tone and I hated the fact that I sounded weak in front of her. "Don't worry, it's just period cramps," I told her but another Wave of pain hit me until I fell to the ground and scre
AxelWhen I felt her pains through the bond, I quickly rushed out of my office not bothering to listen to what Penelope had to say to me. I rushed into the elevator and took it to her floor. "Mate is hurt," Nal muttered in my head and repeated the words as if I didn't hear him the first time he said it. "Mate is hurt!" "Shut up!" I shouted as soon as I reached her floor. Rushing into her office, I saw her on the ground with Remi's hands around her. I quickly rushed to her side and ordered them to get out of the house. Camille, what's wrong?" I asked her. Instead of replying, she picked up the letter from the ground and handed it over to me. I was shocked by what I saw. Camille was a descendant of Kitias. The one who placed the curse on me. "A letter from the past?" I exclaimed because I was glad that I would be freed of the curse that had haunted me for life. "You are a Kitias?" I asked. I thought Camille would be happy like I was but instead, she turned to face me with tears g
Camille POVWhen we arrived at the village, it's was already night and as Axel and myself walked past the tent, we couldn't heard a pin drop and just like the story Amara had told us, the Witches clan had gathered around a fire to end the Lycan's life. As we walked forward into the village, I noticed a fire few distances away from us and using the moon as a source of light, I strained my eyes and saw the shadows of heads. I nudged Axel on the shoulder when the light was placed near the Lycan's face. Just like Amara had told us, she was Axel's aunt and someone walked around her chanting in foreign language we couldn't understood. "Let's go," I nudged Axel on the shoulder and moved forward but he grabbed my hand and pulled me backwards. "what is wrong?" I muttered. "We can't just barge into their meeting," he responded and pointed to different heads. " There are a lot of them," he started counting using the moon but our cover got blew up when someone appeared behind us. "Why are you
Axel POVCamille groaned again and threw her hands up as we found ourselves behind a spring of water. After leaving the Lycan's pack, we searched for a way to the witch's clan but found none as we kept looking around, but we always ended up beside a spring of water. "This is the third time," Camille scoffed and sat on the ground. "We keep ending up in the same place!" She complained and heaved a sigh. "We have to find a way to get out of here, Axel!" I heaved a sigh and sat beside her. "If we don't save my uncle's wife, everything will be for nothing, and we won't be able to break the curse," I laid on the ground and stared at the blue skies. The sun was starting to set, and it was the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen in my entire life. As we stared at the sun, my mind drifted off to when Kourtney and I used to stare at the sun. I smiled at the thought of it and blinked a tear away. Camille saw the tears in my eyes and stared at me suspiciously."Are you okay?" She asked, a
Camille POVHere I am sitting on a metal chair around a table with Axel and his family. His father, mother, uncles, and some of the rest of the pack stared in awe at him as he told them the story of what could happen if they chose to ignore his warnings. He had warned them against wandering into the Witches' land in order to avoid the war. "This war made thousands of years of my life unbearable!" Axel explained it to them. "Killing each other won't solve the problems. We just have to embrace each other and end this war that could eat us all up! " instead of listening to him, one of the Lycans stood up and slammed his hand on the metal table, which caused me to shake in fright. "I told you not to believe them, Alpha. They are sent by the witches' clans to destroy us all! You'll be a fool if you allow them to put fear inside of you! " The man shouted at Axel. Axel called him by his given name as he stared at Axel. in shock. His eyes widened, but he quickly changed his facial expressi
I groaned out in pain when I felt a heavy weight on me. Someone kicked the heavy weight off of me and I heaved a sigh of relief. I got kicked with something hard that seemed like a stick. I whimpered in pain as the stick made contact with my ass. "Who the hell is..." My eyes fluttered open and I screamed out loud when I saw three giant men standing above me. They looked tall, like the skyscrapers back in the city. That's an exaggeration, but it was how I could describe them. I looked beside me and saw a familiar face. Axel was sleeping comfortably, like all his problems had been solved. "Axel!" I shouted his name and slapped him on the face. He groaned out in pain and fluttered his eyes open. "Camille, why did you have to slap me?" he yelled at me, but he lowered his voice when I pointed up. Axel cleared his throat and looked up. When his eyes met one of the giant men, he exclaimed and jumped to his feet. "Zach!"Axel laughed and hugged the giant man. "You know him?" I rose up from t
Axel POVI yelled as the ground shook terribly again. This time, Camille pushed me and we both fell to the ground. "I've said enough!" Amara shouted and grabbed the staff from Amara. As the staff made contact with Amara's hand, it disappeared in the blink of an eye. "You both are physcopaths!" I shouted as Camille and I stood up. "I can't believe that you two had to decide my destiny!" I yelled. I felt sorry for myself for dealing with devils like the twins. Because of them, I was fated to dooom. My destiny was decided and I lost the woman I loved. "You two are crazy!""No, she is the crazy one!" Amara and Samara said it at the same time. I facepalmed and turned to look at Camille, who had her eyes fixed on mine. "Are you okay?" She questionedI heaved a sigh and shook my head. I wasn't fine and I was never going to be until I got rid of the curse. "How do I break the curse?" I asked the twinsThey exchanged looks and then started laughing. "The curse is easy to break," Samara answ
Camille POVI smiled as Axel stirred up and his eyes fluttered open. I grabbed his hand and placed it on my cheek, then I smiled. "Axel," I whispered, his name. He groaned and rose from the bed. "Why are you crying?" He asked as he noticed the tears on my face. I wiped it away and chuckled. "nothing," I forced myself to smile. "Camille," he said, raising my chin. "You can tell me anything," he said. "You were attacked by a bear, and I thought that I'd lost you. Amara wouldn't help you, and you were bleeding so badly... I burst into tears. "I thought I had lost you."Axel heaved a sigh and pulled me closer to him. He placed my head on his chest and rubbed my back. "It's okay, nothing happened to me," he assured me. "Never do that again," I shouted at him. "An attack by a bear is nothing. It's because my powers are restricted in this place. It's why I couldn't fight against that bear," he said. "Stop that!" I shouted and punched his shoulders. "Don't say things like that," I sni
AxelIt feels familiar. The serenity made me remember the past when I had been the only Lycan alive, ruling over the werewolves. Camille and I walked through the woods, searching for a route that could lead us to the Village of the Witches, where we could find Amara Kitias and put an end to my curse. "You have any idea where we are heading to?" Camille whined for the umpteenth time and sniffed the tiger hide skin she wore. "This smells like shit and I can't wait to get rid of it!" She shifted the gown on her body. "Why are you whining when your whole body is covered?" I asked and pointed to my own body. I was half naked, wearing nothing but an abandoned shirt I found beside the water. "If we can find Amara, then she might be able to help and find a dress for us to wear," I told her, but she rolled her eyes in annoyance. "The clothes you all wore in the past are annoying!" Camille hissed. I grabbed her hand, but she slapped it away. "Believe me when I say people in the past had clot
Camille POV "How was Marcel's pack?" I questioned Alina as we both sat on the couch in Axel's living room while the men arranged the paintings and discussed them amongst themselves. Today was the day Axel and I decided to go back to the past to find answers to his curse. A day after Axel and I finished painting, Alina and Marcel returned with the witch from Marcel's pack. Ever since they returned, I noticed that they rarely talked, and even when Marcel tried to start a conversation with Alina, he got ignored by her. When we finally had the chance to talk, I decided to ask her the reason for their silent treatment. "Pack!" Alina frowned and folded her arms together. "They don't love or even want me." Alina heaved a sigh and stared at the witch that was invited by Marcel. "That witch predicted that our union would bring bad luck to the pack," Alina said, pointing to the redheaded woman who was deep in conversation with Penelope in the dining hall. "The funniest part is that a woman h
Camille's POV"So we have to paint a picture of the past?" I asked Axel as I entered his car and sat beside him in the front. I had asked of Alina and Marcel, and I was informed by Axel that they had gone to Marcel's pack to bring the witch who would help with the ritual. I was glad for the two of them because they had realized their feelings for one another, and Alina was finally coming out of her shell of never falling in love with any man ever again. "What kind of painting?" I asked Axel as he started the car and drove out of the garage. Axel didn't reply and fixed his eyes on the road. "Axel!" I shouted his name again. He turned to face me with a smile on his face. He grabbed my hand and kissed it. Painting is easy, Camille. "We just have to find the perfect drawing for going to the past, and although I haven't picked a brush in years, I am still a great painter," he boasted and winked at me. I chuckled and nodded in response. The rest of the drive to AX gallery was in silence
