Abbigail
A week passed since Shawn had her accident and finding out I'm pregnant. In that week our families helped move me into her place and Shawn is finally able to come home. Being that her lower leg had the double fracture, she was able to get a walking boot and a set of crutches to move about. She wasn't able to drive and even if she could she has no car. Her mother was picking us up and bringing us home. I've left the hospital long enough to shower but went right back to be with Shawn. I'm still getting used to the layout at my place with Shawn and didn't want to be alone. Before we could go home we had my first appointment for the baby. It's where we're headed now and I'll admit, I'm nervous. I was sitting in the back seat with Shawn and she took my hand in comfort. She brings my hand to her lips and I let out a calming breath. "I'm sure the baby is fine," she says in a soothing tone and I nod uncontrollably. She takes me in her arms and I breathe in her calming scent. "I'm with you, every step of the way.""I'm not worried about the baby, I'm not able to take care of our child without having someone there with me. I won't be able to see to dress them, change them. I'm going to be a bad mom," I choke in sobs as my fears become my worst living nightmare. "We could always find out if you're able to have surgery to restore your sight if you want," she says in a soothing whisper. I thought about what she said and let out a calming sigh. "Can we wait for your leg to heal before we talk about this again? Please," I ask in a choked whisper. "Of course," she says in a soothing whisper, rubbing my stomach. "I want you to feel comfortable to tell me anything that's bothering you, okay? No matter how big or how small, I'll always be there to listen."I let out a relieved sigh and choke quietly, "Thank you, I needed to hear that.""Anytime babe," she says softly kissing the top of my head. It wasn't long before we reached my doctor's office and the three of us headed inside. She was busy with a previous patient so we had to wait. While we waited they asked me for a urine sample and my usual nurse helped me in the bathroom while Shawn and Joyce waited in the front waiting area.I must have zoned out while waiting to be called to the back because Shawn was talking to me in a soothing tone, hands holding my face, trying to get my attention for a few minutes. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize I spaced out," I say quietly in a distant tone. "It's okay, it's common among pregnant women to space out," my doctor says softly as I feel her help me up to my feet and I sway a little. She steadies me on my feet and I bring a hand to my head as it starts to spin. "Easy now.""I'm gonna pass out," I say in a breathy, wavering tone and collapse. Shawn"Abbigail," I cry out, scared as she collapses in her doctor's arms. "What is wrong with my girlfriend?""Just a dizzy spell," her doctor says in a soothing tone. "I promise you, both mother and baby are fine. She'll wake up on her own, but until then if you want, I'll do a quick ultrasound?"I couldn't stop the tears from forming in my eyes and nod. "Could stress be a cause for her to pass out," I ask in a worried whisper. "It could be. Do you know what could be stressing her out," she asks as we follow her and a nurse pushing Abbigail on a gurney."It could be because of my car accident last week which was the reason we missed her previous appointment or that she feels she won't be a good mother because she can't see to tend to the baby without someone there to help her," I choke quietly. "Abbigail always used to tell me she'd never find someone to settle down with because no one would want the burden of a blind woman. She found you, I have no doubt that she won't get her sight back if she does the surgery, " her doctor says in a soothing tone. She meets my eyes, smiles lightly and says, "I can see in your eyes that you love her and that you're scared for her. I think she picked a loving, caring and passionate woman who will protect her from everyone and everything.""She's the first outside my family to accept me for what I am, how could I not want to protect her. It wasn't easy for me growimg up. I don't need her getting hurt for being with someone like me," I choke in a whisper. "What do you mean 'someone like you'?""I'm the 'father' of that baby," I choke quietly as the tears fall. "I was bullied and beat up because I was different from other kids. I wasn't allowed to use the girl's bathroom nor the boy's bathroom.""I'm sorry to hear that," she says in sympathy, exposing Abbigail's stomach. "Would you like to see your baby?"I nod, taking Abbigail's hand. I kiss her fingers and watch the monitor as the doctor waves a wand over her lower abdomen. Moments later I could see two peanut shaped bubbles and smile through the tears. "Twins," I choke in a whisper."Yes," the doctor says with a smile. "They seem to be at a healthy size, bigger than most at eight weeks."Her hand gripped mine, turning her head toward me and asks in quiet whisper, "What happened?""You fainted from a dizzy spell," I say softly and kiss her forehead. She moves to sit up and I gently lay her back down. "Relax, everything is fine."She lets out a relaxed breath and her doctor was surprised by how I was able to calm her down so quickly. "Can you tell me what you see when the ultrasound starts," she asks in a calm whisper. "I wanted to make sure everything was okay while you were passed out. We're in the middle of one now," I say in a soothing tone, stroking her hair. Tears roll down my cheeks with a smile on my face and say, "Both babies are healthy and so is their mommy."Tears fill her eyes and I watch as a wavering smile stretches her lips. She pulls me in for a quick kiss, unable to do more than that with our smiles. "With mother and babies healthy I'll go write a script for prenatal vitamins and get a printout of the ultrasound. I'll see you back in a month's time," the doctor says with a smile."Thank you," my mother chokes with joy.I have my mother help Abbigail down from the examination gurney and we follow the doctor out of the room to schedule her next appointment and get her script and printout of the ultrasound. I call her mother and ask that everyone meet us at our place for dinner. We were on our way home and she snuggles next to me on the back seat. She plays with my hand in her lap, resting her head on my shoulder. I kiss the top of her head and she lets out a relaxed sigh. "How are you feeling," I ask with concern. "I'm still letting it settle in that I'm carrying twins," she says quietly, slipping her fingers between mine, holding our joined hands against her stomach. "I'm a little tired from sleeping in the hospital, but I'd do it all again.""I'll let you nap while I wash away the hospital and refresh my vanilla and lavender scent," I say softly and notice she's already falling asleep. I make eye contact with my mother in the review mirrow and she gives a soft smile. "She'll be fine. Pregnancy takes a toll on you the first trimester. She'll sleep a lot, her appetite will waver for a while. Some food she ate before might make her sick. She might have these weird cravings at two in the morning and it's all normal," my mother says reassuringly. "She reminds me of me while I was pregnant with you."I nod, acknowledging what she just told me and keeping it in mind. I look down and notice how relaxed she looked in her sleep. She also looked peaceful and I knew that was because of me. I don't dare to think of how she'd be going through this if my accident was any worse than it was. I had a feeling that that's what she was thinking about too but was afraid to admit it. I realize we're home when my father is trying his best to scoop Abbigail out of the back seat and not wake her. I look at my leg, wrapped up in a cast and wished I could carry her myself. I climb out and balance myself on the crutches before closing the door and heading inside.I make my way to my room as my father was walking out and Abbigail was curled up on my side of the bed. Her face was buried in my pillow which probably still had my scent in it. I smile at the sight and grab some clothes for a shower.I grab my shower proof cover and water proof walking boot and enter the bathroom. I was able to undress without a problem and into the protective wear to keep my cast dry. I step in the shower and start washing away the sticky residue from the sensors and my IV drip.I heard someone enter the bathroom and didn't think anything of it. I thought maybe it was my mother coming to collect my clothes for me. "Shawn," Abbigail asks in a choked whisper. I poke my head out of the shower and she seemed scared. "Can I join you?""Of course, I just stepped in," I say softly and watch as she undresses. I hold my hand out and say, "I have my hand held out in front of you."She takes my hand and I help her in the shower. Once she was in, she came in my arms, her head against my chest. She lets out a calming breath and I wrap my arms around her. "I woke up and you were gone," she chokes in a wavering whisper. "I thought about your accident and thought this last week was a dream.""I'm here," I say in a soothing tone, rubbing her back in comfort. "I'm right here."My bathroom door flys open again and I knew it was my mother looking for Abbigail. "She's with me," I say softly before she could say anything. "She freaked out when I wasn't there when she woke up.""Sweetheart, can I get you something for when you come out," my mom asks in a soothing tone. She lets out a laugh and says, "Surprise me.""I know just the snack for you," my mother says and leaves the bathroom."Let me wash you, please," Abbigail asks in a choked whisper, running her hands down my arms.I soap up my luffa and place it in her hands. She gingerly runs the sponge over my chest and I let out a relaxed sigh. My breaths hitch when she reaches my groin and she was gentle washing every part of me. My breaths quicken as she continues, roaming her hands over my soapy skin. She gasps as I harden in her hands and I let out a shuddering breath. I decide to let her take control of the situation. She steps closer to me, breaths ragged and reaches to kiss my lips. It was slow and passionate. "Make love to me," she pleads against my lips."Let's go to the bedroom," I say quietly and shut the shower off.I help her out of the shower and we hastily dry off. I bring her to the bed and we both climb on so I can remove the waterproof bag. I rest against my pillows and have her straddle my lap.She gasps as I enter her with ease. I sit up and wrap my arms around her, rocking us back and forth. Her arms slip around my neck and hands play in my hair. We move together in a passionate rhythm and she holds my face as we kiss to muffle our moans. Our breaths turn heavy, lips brushing lips. Her hands tug at my short hair and moments later we come together. We sat there, catching our breaths and my mom knocks on the door. "Everything okay? You need help Shawn," she asks with concern, respecting our privacy. "We're okay, just getting Abbigail better acquainted with the bathroom," I say with a smile as Abbigail shakes her head. "We'll be right out.""Just shout if you need help," she says as she walks away. Abbigail playfully punches my arm, face a little red and says, "Might as well said we had sex. They know we were alternating between places before your accident. 'Better acquainted with your bathroom' to your mother is a dead giveaway.""I'm sorry," I say softly, kissing her forehead. "I'll make it up to you.""Like a guard dog, trained for the blind," she asks giving me a kiss."That actually doesn't sould like a bad idea. I'm glad you mentioned that," I say in a protective whisper. "I'll talk to our family and we'll get you a guard dog."AbbigailShawn has been extremely protective of me since we learned about the pregnancy and even more protective since we learned I was carrying twins. I never had someone other than my family get protective of me the way Shawn is now.I find Joyce in the kitchen and pull her toward a spare bedroom. Shawn was fixing her walking boot and hair. I could feel Joyce guide me a little, having an idea where I was trying to take her. I guess my face shows more than I realize. Once we get inside the room and close the door, I start pacing. My emotions are all over the place and I can't get them under control. In the middle of pacing, I walk into Joyce's arms and lightly sob on her chest. She doesn't say a word and just rubs my back comfortly. Some time passes before the door to the room opens and the smell of vanilla and lavender fills the room. I instantly felt calm, but don't move from Joyce's arms. "Is she okay," Shawn asks softly, standing behind me."I'm sure its just her emotions attacking her Shawn. You were in a car accident on the way to pick her up the day she had an appointment to find out if she was pregnant. This morning she learned she's carrying twins and could have lost you last week, left to go through this pregnancy alone. Sometimes we need comfort from someone who isn't your partner or from someone who knows what you're going through," Joyce chokes in a whisper, pegging my issues to the wall. I let out a calming breath and Joyce rubs my back. "Five more minutes," I choke quietly, scrunching my hands at Joyce's sides. The three of us let out a laugh and I let Joyce lead me back out to the living room. "Can we keep the twins a secret for now, please? Especially from my family. I can't take anymore excitement right now and my family will take it overboard," I say quietly, wiping my eyes. "I need time to fully accept all these changes, but it doesn't mean I don't want to go through this."I feel as Shawn eases herself next to me and takes me in her arms. "I can warn them before they get here," Joyce says in understanding. "Thank you," Shawn says softly, caressing my stomach. "I'm sorry if I added any extra emotional stress. I just want to know you're safe when I'm back to work and no one else is with you.""I love that about you," I say softly, holding her hand to my stomach. "Next time I nap with you, please stay with me until I wake up, at least until I get over your accident.""I promise," she says softly, kissing my head.AbbigailOur families were sitting in our living room, waiting for our dinner to finish. Our sisters were taking turns drawing on Shawn's cast. Our fathers were off in a corner talking about their common liking in sports and cars. Our mothers were in the kitchen and I was relaxing in my big chair.I was snuggling with my favorite teddy bear, trying to breathe passed the nausea. "Here sweetheart," Joyce says softly, placing a cup of tea in my hands. "It's an herbal tea, to help with the nausea.""You're too good to me," I say in a wavering whisper and she laughs. I take a sip of the warm liquid and and feel the nausea die down. "Thank you.""You're welcome," she says softly and sits next to me in my chair with my legs in her lap. "Shawn is sleeping. I think the pain killers are finally kicking in.""Good, let her sleep," I say quietly. "I know she's worried about me. I may not be able to see, but I can hear it in her voice.""She loves you Abbigail," Joyce says softly as I sip more tea
AbbigailAfter getting Shawn calmed down and back to sleep I had my father recline the chair. I asked to have my breakfast in here next to her incase she woke up freaking out. Joyce brought me yogurt with fruit and granola and it was very soothing with the nausea. I felt Shawn stretch out next to me with a waking yawn and offer some of my breakfast. She guides my hand holding the spoon to her mouth and I found it very intimate. My breaths grew heavy and I felt aroused. "Are you feeling okay," she asks softly, rubbing my stomach. "I feel aroused right now," I say in a breathy whisper. Her hand travels slowly towards my groin and my breaths hitch. I felt my underwear grow wet and my breaths quicken as her finger lightly rubs over my throbbing core. I hand her the bowl unable to hold it at the moment. I hear the bowl touch the end table and move to straddle her lap. Her hand slips inside my underwear and slowly slips a finger inside my throbbing pussy. I press my lips to her mouth to
AbbigailShawn just proposed to me and I accepted it. I could feel happiness threatening to pour out of me and I let it. Our family cheer at our engagement, distracting us from my aunt's passing. I heard my grandmother offer Shawn her engagement ring from my grandfather and tears roll down my cheeks. She slips the ring on my finger and gives me a kiss. I run my hands in her short hair and the kiss soon becomes extremely intimate. My breaths quicken and I have to stop before it gets out of hand. I press my forehead to hers, breaths ragged and hold her hands off me or I'll lose control. She brushes her lips against mine and I have to climb off her lap. I grab hold of the person closest to me and pull them with me out of the kitchen. Turns out that I had grabbed Annie. "Abbigail, you okay," she asks with concern, her hands caressing my face. "Too much has happened this week and I'm a little overwhelmed," I choke in a whisper and let out a shaky breath. "Can you take me for a drive? I n
ShawnIt's the day of the funeral for Abbigail's Aunt Carolyn. I was dressed in my ceremonial uniform from the Marines. I had my walking boot on and finishing up straightening my medals when Abbigail steps out of our closet. She was wearing a form fitted dress that showed off the small bump she was starting to form. She wore her hair in its usual manner and a pair of black flats to finish her outfit. I walk up to her and her hands roam, getting a feel of me in my uniform. Her hands reach my face and her sad eyes showed concern for me. "What's scaring you," she asks with concern. "That wearing this at your aunt's funeral is going to trigger my PTSD, but I want to wear this out of respect for your aunt's service in the Air Force," I say in a scared whisper. She gives me a sad smile and gives me a kiss. "I'll be right there next to you," she says softly, coming in my arms.My mother knocks on the doorway and asks, "Are you two ready to leave?"Abbigail and I nod in unison and follow he
ShawnAbbigail's soothing voice woke me from the darkness I had gone to while napping on her grandparents couch. My heart was pounding and my breaths were quick and shallow. My entire body was trembling beneath her straddling me with her hands caressing my face. I look around the room and notice that her family is watching with concern. She gently turns my head back towards her and I look in her blind eyes. Those eyes reflected love, safety and compassion. "I'm right here," she says in a soothing voice, letting her thumbs sweep my cheeks. "Breathe with me Shawn.""The baby, where's the baby," I choke in a sobbed whisper. "She's okay, it's you I'm worried about.""I can feel it again and it hurts," I choke as tears roll down my cheeks. "Feel what Shawn,"she asks softly, wiping my eyes. "The bullets, I can feel them piercing my skin and it never ends. It's like its on loop, getting shot over and over again," I sob in a whisper. She slips her hand up my shirt and traces over the scar
ShawnTwo months have passed. In those two months Beth has moved in, helping Abbigail with the pregnancy. Also in these past two months, Abbigail has formed a noticeable bump and no longer suffers from nausea or dizziness. Last week I had my cast removed and today I was able to return to work. I enter the kitchen, wearing my uniform with a bulletproof vest under my shirt. Beth was cooking breakfast and Abbigail was picking grapes from the fruit bowl. I give them both a kiss and Abbigail feels for my vest. She sighs in relief when she feels it. Tears fill her eyes and she asks in a choked whisper, "You wore it?""Of course I did, I promised you I would," I say in a soothing tone and give her a kiss on her forehead. "I'd do anything for either of you, you just need to ask.""Can you come home safe, especially when you're in this uniform," Abbigail asks in a choked whisper. "I promise to try my best," I say softly and give her a kiss. "Can you bring home a pregnancy test," Beth asks in
AbbigailI don't know about the others, but hearing Shawn say what she did to Shelby made me emotional. I found my way to Shawn after we agreed to take the dog and went in her arms. My stomach stopped me from getting the tight embrace I wanted, but I could still reach to breathe in that vanilla and lavender scent on her neck. I took in a calming breath and sigh as she rubs my back. She kisses the top of my head and I feel as Shelby nudges my side. I pet her head as I stay in Shawn's arms. I could feel the twins kicking repeatedly in the spots and I could feel them calming down as I breathe in her scent. I think Shawn felt it too because she says in a soothing tone, "Deep breaths Abbigail, slowly breathe in and out. They'll calm down when you calm down.""It's Beth," Beth says in a soothing tone as she rubs my arm in comfort. I turn into her arms and she rests her hands on either side of my forming belly. They kick her hands twice before they finally calm down. I let out a relieved s
AbbigailThe doctor said she suffered from a pulmonary embolism. They're doing their best to treat it, but there's a chance that she won't make it. She said she was lucky I was with her when it happened or she would have died.Beth and I were sitting in a corner of the waiting room, comforting each other with Shelby guarding us. She had her service vest on so no one bothered to say she couldn't be in the hospital. We ended up telling my parents about Beth and Shawn's relationship and about their baby. Surprisingly they accepted our commitment. I play with her engagement ring. I took it off her hand before the ambulance arrived. I didn't want them to cut it off. Beth's still hand on my stomach told me she'd fallen asleep. She'd been rubbing my stomach since we got to the hospital, four hours ago, putting us after midnight. I could smell Joyce's perfume as she knelt in front of me."Please tell me you have good news," I choke in a whisper, slipping her ring in my index finger. "She's
AbbigailI woke to Beth and Joyce's perfume. Melanie was still asleep, snuggled up at my back. Joyce kisses my forehead and gives my stomach a rub. I let out a relieved breath as their kicking calms down. "Sweetheart," Joyce asks with concern. "They've been kicking hard since we watched her shootout with Greg. I didn't get much sleep," I choke in a tired whisper. "Come here," Shawn says in a soothing whisper. Joyce helps me out of the hospital bed and Beth takes my place. I climb in on Shawn's left side and carefully lay on her chest. The moment her hand touches my stomach, the twins stop kicking and I let out a relaxed sigh. "Get some sleep," Shawn says in a soothing whisper as she rubs my stomach the best she could. "Don't overdo yourself," I choke in a sleepy whisper and hold her hand in place. "This is all I need." I wake to someone gently shaking my shoulder and look behind me at Jordan. She looked like she'd been crying all night. I look up and notice Shawn is sleeping. Jor
Shawn's POV Melanie and I installed cameras around the house. The police department has direct access to the feed, should there ever be an intruder while we're working, a car will be dispatched immediately. I'm not taking any risks of Greg showing up and harming anyone while I'm not there to protect them. It's been a few weeks and thankfully he hasn't tried anything. I came down for breakfast before work and Melanie wasn't in the kitchen. I look at Beth and she shrugs. She was swaying with Michael in her arms while warming a bottle to feed him. I look at Abbigail, she was eating her breakfast and shakes her head. I head back upstairs and find her sitting on the floor of her and Beth's bathroom. She had tears in her eyes, looking up at the sink. I spot a pregnancy test and take a look. It was positive and I sit next to her on the floor. She comes in my arms and lets out uncontrolled sobs. I rub her back in comfort and she lets out a calming
Hello fellow readers! I just wanted to announce that I have a second book coming out soon :). For those of you who have enjoyed Fated Love you're going to enjoy Soulmates. I would love to hear any feedback as long as it's not rude. I know I have typos and plan to fix them later. Soulmates so far has four chapters. I will be writing both books at the same time. I will do chapter for chapter, meaning I'll write a chapter for Fated Love and then one for Soulmates and so on and so on. Stay safe this summer. Happy reading!
Abbigail's POVShawn and Melanie have been gone over an hour and Joyce was looking for Shawn to do her grandmother's birthday cake. I explain to Joyce what was going on and offer to go check on them and let Shawn know Joyce was looking for her. When I reach our room, it was quiet inside.I quietly open the door and found them passed out in bed. I quietly close the door and head back down to the kitchen. Joyce looks up as I enter and tears fill her eyes when she didn't see Shawn with me."They're asleep," I say softly and she nods lightly. The tears in her eyes roll down her cheeks and says in a choked whisper, "I didn't know about my mother's condition until Shawn and Annie were born. I was ready to put Shawn up for adoption when my mother told me about it. It's also when she told me the truth about my other mother. She said that if I went through with the adoption she'd never speak to me again."I take her in my arms as she breaks into
Abbigail's POVTammy called me after Alexis passed out after her ultrasound. She said that Shawn went into a trance and wasn't responding to her voice. Melanie was there when Tammy told me what happened on speaker and her eyes fill with tears. All she had to say was "Iraq" and I knew Shawn was having a PTSD attack.I ask our sisters for a ride to the hospital and Melanie stayed with the others. When we got to the hospital a nurse brought me to the room where Shawn, Alexis and Tammy were. Alexis was still asleep in the examination chair and Shawn was sitting up against a wall with Tammy still trying to break her out of trance.I kneel the best I could in front of Shawn and caress her face in my hands. I meet her eyes and saw that she was ready to lose it. Something happened in Iraq that set her off when Alexis collapsed in Shawn's arms."Talk to me Shawn," I say in a soothing whisper and she meets my eyes, relieved I was there. "What happ
Abbigail's POVI was napping on the couch when I woke to a kiss on my forehead. Shawn was knelt on the floor in front of me with her hand caressing my stomach. I give her a tired smile and she gives me a kiss. I notice Jordan behind her with Aubrey and her mother Alexis, both of them looked scared and covered in bruises."We were on our way to the cemetery when Aubrey called Jordan. Greg was using his belt to whip them and he was severely drunk," Shawn says quietly and I could see a hint of anger in her eyes. "I offered them the guest room with the double beds for a while."She helps me sit up and I walk up to Alexis and Aubrey. One look in Alexis' eyes and tears fill my eyes. "How far are you," I ask in a choked whisper."You're pregnant," Shawn asks in a protective tone and I knew she was definitely angry now.Alexis nods vigorously and breaks into uncontrolled sobs. Surprise falls on Aubrey's face and I'm guessing she didn't know. "I
Abbigail's POVI woke up in the middle of the night to Shawn singing quietly, but she wasn't in the room. I climb out of bed and go looking for her. I follow her voice to Michael's room and she was gently rocking him back to sleep. Beth was asleep in the bay window, like she'd been sleeping with Michael.Melanie joins me in the hall, admiring both Shawn and Beth. She signals Shawn, who nods while continuing to sing to Michael. Melanie takes my hand and leads me to her and Beth's room. She helps me in their bed and motions for me to lay on her chest.I lay on her chest and she rubs my stomach. I let out a content sigh and she kisses the top of my head. "How are you feeling," she asks quietly."I'm okay, just woke up to her singing," I say in a yawn and snuggle closer to her."You just seemed like something was bothering you when I walked up to you in the hallway," she says with concern."Just picturing her singin
Shawn's POVI woke to Beth trying to take Michael from my chest. She holds her hands up apologetically and I wrap my arms around him as he whimpers from being disturbed. I quietly hum the lullaby I sing to Abbigail and he instantly goes back to sleep.Beth looks at me with surprise and kisses my forehead. "What time is it," I ask in a quiet whisper, rubbing my eyes."It's six o'clock in the morning. Abbigail is still sleeping and Michael slept all night. I thought he'd be up to feed by now," she whispers quietly and hands me a coffee. "I know who to ask to help him sleep if he gets fussy. He didn't really sleep much the other night.""Were you able to sleep last night," I ask quietly as I sip my coffee. She nods lightly, stroking Michael's patch of hair. He let's out a content sigh and nuzzles his face under my chin. His hands grasp at my shirt, holding onto me as if someone else tried to take him.I rub at his back gently as my
Shawn's POVAbbigail and I walk into Beth's hospital room the next day and she was in instant tears when she saw me. Melanie took the baby from her and I climb in next to her. I no longer felt pain when I moved, only if there was too much pressure on my side then I felt pain.I comfort her and Abbigail sat feeding Michael a bottle. "Am I hurting you," Beth asks in a choked whisper, afraid to lay against me.I wrap my arm around her and pull her closer to me. "I'm okay, it's my right side," I say in a soothing whisper and she lets out a calming breath."I wouldn't have let her leave the house if she was in critical pain," Abbigail says quietly.Abbigail's eye surgeon knocks on the door quietly and I meet him in the hall. "I was told you were here," he says softly and looks in at Abbigail. "Do you think she'd be willing to get the implants sooner? Your obgyn has been keeping me updated and mentioned that she was no longer expe
