"I can try to sneak in." I heard Amelia's voice at the door and turned around.

"No. Too risky." James said.

"I can try to get rid of the weapons. I know where they keep them. They're wolves, they won't want to keep that in their hands unless it's absolutely necessary." I looked at Stanley and realized he was really considering this stupid idea.

"She would be a chance." Stanley said getting up.

"What?" Me and James spoke together.

"Got to talk to my wolves about this." He walked over to me and placed a warm kiss on my lips before heading towards the door. "If they agree, we'll have a meeting with who goes and who stays." cell phone before leaving and the room was completely silent. I glanced at James and Amelia before heading off after Stanley. Is he really going to consider letting Amelia go down there in that lonely nest after she was attacked by her own brother? There has to be another way.

"Stanley." I called to him halfway down the hall and he looked back. "What if those lon

Amelia"What do you want?" "It's cold and the firewood is over." I said. The honest truth. And the truth I most enjoyed saying. "And you decided to sleep here." I nodded even though it wasn't a question. And I saw his hand tighten on the side of the door, “Come in.” He made room and waited for me to walk past him. When I did, he closed the door again, "Make yourself comfortable," He said simply and walked back to his bed. The temperature inside was already far more pleasant. I walked around the bed and climbed on the other side. James gave me a sideways look and pulled his blanket over him when I did the same. He turned to the other side and I wrapped myself in my blanket, moving closer to his back and placing his blanket over mine. "You're quite chilly, aren't you?" He grumbled. "I hate the cold. And my resistance is much lower in the winter." I decided to lean my forehead against his back and ended up inhaling his delicious scent. My heart was still beating fast, but I was doing m

SarahAt some point in the morning, I heard some footsteps in the hallway and the bedroom door being opened slowly. The scent of musk and mint was there at once and a smile crept across my face. I remained lying with my back to the door and I no longer heard her silent steps. Probably not to wake me up.I heard some light rubbing of clothes and I continued with my eyes closed. I should be taking them off. I felt the mattress beside me sinking and I shifted a little, turning onto my side. He sighed deeply as if he were tired. And I couldn't take it. I had to look at him. I could smell a little of his wolves on him and I wondered what verdict they had reached."Everything okay?" I asked and smoothed his bare chest under the coverlet. It wasn't as warm as I was used to, it must have been very cold outside. He looked at me and wrapped his arms around my body, squeezing me against him."Yes, you are." He kissed my cheek and then my lips."Everything went well?"Well... We'll discuss some t

SarahPain rose to my abdomen every time I tried to move. Stanley held me in his lap still pressed against the wall and I felt like everything was full inside me. Too deep. I knew he was getting bigger and bigger before we came. I thought I was the one contracting too much. The condom at that time must not have resisted.Stanley looked at me worriedly. Getting hitched was one of the few things I learned about us in my lifetime, but it was something so unusual it was almost irrelevant. But it sure was something significant. Very. I don't know why it happened, but I thought I was going to die of pleasure before I came madly."Heavens, I'm going to get pregnant…" was the only thing I could get out. I had to accept it. Stanley stared at me regretfully before I looked away from him. I loved him too much to fight about it."Sorry." I felt my heart ache to hear that. It wasn't technically his fault. "I guess I should have controlled myself more."No, no, of course not. Don't apologize, pleas

AmeliaThe bus ride to Elija's territory took us a few hours. And during those hours, Liphe was the most annoying person ever. She kept asking me about things, how I met James, how I was saved, how I ended up in Stanley's house and among other things that I felt compelled to tell. He listened to me attentively and my stories seemed to at least kill his boredom. And when we were arriving, I felt a giant relief. Both for having stopped talking and for having vented a little. We got off the bus and it was the first time I was stepping into Elija's territory."Amelia..." He whispered as we walked. laugh and look around."Okay, leave it." I sighed. It was snowing again. "But I think Elija's wolves are pretty well hidden now. If we're stopped, which we won't be long, they'll be lonely. The city was big, wooded and people walked calmly through the streets completely oblivious to what was happening in that territory. It was too beautiful a city for James not to care that much. I keep thinking

AmeliaIf I had done a good job? This was a real home again. There was a bookcase that had everything knocked over like someone had thrown it and it all fell to the floor. The chairs were overturned as if they didn't care at all, as if they hadn't even been in here any time. The kitchen cupboards were untouched, no one had moved yet, but the sofas, they were out of place and there was a huge broken vase in the dining room. I had to clean everything up and sweep up all the dirt on the floor. Liphe, well, he was pretending to clean the dirty window panes while he kept watch outside and saw the position of the other loners. Bad to pretend, but I did the same as I mopped where dirt had stuck to the porch. I looked around the side of the house and saw some loners talking, others were positioned farther back near the trees and some of them looked at me. I pretended disinterest and went back inside. None of them appeared to be armed, unless they had a revolver hidden in their belts.I was go

SarahIn the morning, when I opened my eyes after a few hours of sleep, I wanted to sleep more. I brought my hand to the space beside me and remembered where I was and why. And when thoughts circled my head again, sleep soon disappeared.I went to brush my teeth, did the things I needed to and left the room. Low music was coming from the living room as I walked down the hall. And when I came down, Liane was there in the kitchen making something. I sniffed the air, trying to find out what it was, but all I knew was that it was something sweet."Good morning..." I said when I appeared at the kitchen door and saw Liane on the edge of the stove frying... donuts?!"Good morning!" He looked at me with those blue eyes that reminded me a lot of Amelia's, but darker. Her black hair framed her face perfectly and her thick eyebrows had a perfect arch. "Did you sleep well?"Enough." I moved closer. "What about the baby? Is it quiet?""He looked like an angel." He laughed and put another donut on

Tears streamed down her face and when she saw the baby's gender, she laughed. She laughed to be exact "It's not possible..." I looked at Sury who was smiling absently as she looked at the two of them. I grabbed a towel and handed it to Liane. She placed the baby that wasn't really Rose on the cloth and I handed her the knife. She knows best how to use it. And he did it with an agility that surprised me.Looks like they're going to have to choose another name..."So... What name are you going to give it now?" Sury asked and I saw Mark appearing far behind the sofa."Is it over?" He asked and I laughed."And you were there all this time?" Sury spoke."Congratulations Liane." I walked over to her."Thank you…" She swaddled the now nameless baby and started crying and laughing. Sury approached and kissed her head."You could have called me, I

EpilogueSix years later..Ever since the twins started walking, the house was a mess a minute after it was tidied up. And boy, if my blood wasn't wolf, I'd be crazy right now.I was lying on the rug in the living room resting for a while. The sofa was out of the way because I had pushed it so I could get a cart that Hazel had let roll under it and I was enjoying a few seconds while the twins were in the room playing. But that didn't last long."Mommy!" I heard Hailey's voice and looked up just long enough to see the red mane running towards me before she jumped on top of me. I laughed and rolled with her on the rug."Where's your brother?" I asked and she looked at me with those caramel eyes."He's mad because he said I took his cart."What cart?"A red one." I looked over at the coffee table and saw the cart I'd just grabbed from under the couch."Hazel!" I called him and after a few seconds, he appeared in the hall. The unruly black hair was already down to his ears. His eyes, also

SarahThe next day I said I was going to call James with the news, but Stanley cut me off by saying he wasn't ready for visitors yet. I looked at his face with Hazel in his lap and laughed as Hailey slept in her crib after nursing. Hazel had more trouble falling asleep than she did."Aren't you ready, Daddy?" I asked wryly and Stanley nodded as he looked at Hazel with his hazel eyes still wide. He and his sister were the cutest things in the world. At night, Stanley took my cell phone and handed it to me."Here." He looked apologetic. "I was such an asshole, sorry. You can warn your brother and father about our children." He murmured as he felt our lips together."It's okay, I understand how it is, Stanley. I won't blame you for wanting some time with me and the twins before the others arrive." He smoothed my cheek and I picked up the phone. I went to the couch and sat down already dialing James's number. Stanley sat on the arm of the couch and watched me."Hello? Little sister?" Jame

Six months later...SarahI'm not going to say that pregnancy is easy and beautiful, because most of the time it isn't. I was already exhausted and hadn't even given birth yet. I just wanted to eat and sleep. I had put on twenty kilos and my back was asking for relief. And Stanley loved every second of every day because he wasn't the one pregnant. But, of course, there were also the magical moments. Like, for example, the first time the baby moved at 3 months and I screamed Stanley to feel it with me. I also loved rubbing my stomach and imagining perfectly the little thing that was there inside me. I loved lying on the grass in the early morning because it was the only position I didn't feel my back screaming for mercy. And it was summer, so the weather was perfect and convenient to enjoy. And the last moment I loved was when we decided on the names. That was actually last night when I couldn't sleep. Because apparently it was my baby's favorite time to kick my belly. Stanley kept tal

SarahA week had passed and there were only two more left for christmas. I'm not going to say that I wasn't really anxious to find out if I was really carrying a puppy inside me or not, because until now, I hadn't felt anything different. And that has been very frustrating.I asked Liane over and over again how long it took her to find out she was pregnant and she simply replied that it was much faster for us.For humans, it was normal to feel the first symptoms after the second or third week, while for wolves, this decreased by half. The thing is, a week had already passed. Liane just said I didn't have to worry about it and keep trying. It was obvious that I was. After all that hell we'd been through, I actually grabbed Stanley by the neck and pulled him into the bedroom whenever we had time. And we harnessed each other at all times. It was impossible for me not to get pregnant with him... Right?I found myself opening the fridge for the tenth time just to cut up another piece of sa

MandyMark was shirtless and yet the wide open window let in all the icy wind. However, the temperature inside was still incredibly pleasant."I already told you to go. As you can see, I'm fine." He pointed at himself and turned around."Well? That doesn't look right to me. You missed class today."I'm just tired."Ahem..." I looked at his body and his back. Messy hair and skin glistening with sweat. "Look at me."Mandy, go away. Please. You don't want to be here and it's a bad idea."If I didn't want to be here, I wouldn't be here. Let me help you." My body was starting to get weirder with every second I spent inside this room.Mark turned away again and went to the window to close it when I started to shiver. What he didn't know was that it wasn't because of the cold that I was shivering."Sury is down there?" He asked."She was on her way out when I arrived. It's just the two of us here." I saw his shoulders tense."I'm sorry, I asked her not to come to your house."It's okay." I w

Stanley"You're coming into heat and need a female."What?" He got up out of the snow so fast the snow on his arms flew into his head. "No. No. No. Obviously not."You're already sixteen and you turned a few weeks ago. You knew very well your heat was going to come at some point, didn't you? Did Sury talk to you about it?"She said something like that." He covered his face with his hands and bent his knees. Probably distressed. "What the fuck... What the fuck!"I know how you feel. During my first heat I locked myself in my room and waited for it to pass for three weeks without seeing anyone. It didn't go away. Much less did it get better. My father forced me to wake up to life and said it was just a passing." I looked at him still desolate. "It's something natural for our species, Mark."I don't want that." I cracked a smile, then scratched my nose to hide it."I know you don't. I'm your Alpha, I'm just trying to help you." I heard him mutter an expletive."And what did you do?"What

SarahAfter lunch, Stanley came back from the call and took a deep breath before putting the device back in his pocket. The pale eyes landed on me and then I saw there was something going on."I need to go to the pack house. It looks like Mark's human friend is there and the wolves who didn't know about the situation are worried."Situation?" I asked and Stanley looked at me as if he understood something I didn't."When you were captured. Mark ended up opening his mouth and saying that Antony had known about us for a few days. Mark transformed and he saw. He thought that the hunters had come because his friend knew."That's why he looked so scared..."I could remember his hands shaking..."Poor thing... I'll come along."I hadn't seen any of them since I was captured and I needed to see them with my own eyes."I expected you to come with me." He walked over and placed a kiss on my cheek. His pheromones had already returned to normal again. I mean, as much as possible. Because even after

Stanley"How often are you two in heat?" Sarah asked me as she stroked my chest. It was torture. Complete. And I was holding back a lot not to go to the second round."I've only been in heat twice before." Her eyes widened and her beautiful fingers stopped stroking my skin."Swear?"It's the two obligatory heats of a wolf. For both sexes." She furrowed her brows even more confused. So I continued to explain. "When we first turned at sixteen and when we entered wolf maturity." She gaped."After that you never had any again?"After that, males only come into heat with the potential female or mate. Through her heats." And then Sarah went back to running her fingers along my ribs. They settle down. Probably when you're in heat, I'll join you too." Then her fingers stopped again and she lifted her face to get a better look at me."Go in..." She bit her lip in a naughty way. "Okay, that's quite convenient." I narrowed my eyes and couldn't help but smile."Convenient, isn't it...?" I turned

It was probably his wolf's unconscious way of healing faster. His delicious scent was all over the bed and the bandage on his belly had come off in the transformation.I hugged his body and settled my head on his neck before I heard a hoarse growl coming from deep inside his chest. The sound of his wolf only made me more enthralled. And then I felt a sniffle in my hair."Sarah..."My eyes widened when I heard that voice in my head. I quickly li
