Sarah

"I think Rose is actually... a boy.

"What?!" She struggled to her feet and tenderly took the newborn in her arms, still attached to the cord. Tears streamed down her face and when she saw the baby's gender, she laughed. She laughed to be exact "It's not possible..." I looked at Sury who was smiling absently as she looked at the two of them. I grabbed a towel and handed it to Liane. She placed the baby that wasn't really Rose on the cloth and I handed her the knife. She knows best how to use it. And he did it with an agility that surprised me.

Looks like they're going to have to choose another name...

"So... What name are you going to give it now?" Sury asked and I saw Mark appearing far behind the sofa.

"Is it over?" He asked and I laughed.

"And you were there all this time?" Sury spoke.

"Congratulations Liane." I walked over to her.

"Thank you…" She swaddled the now nameless baby and started crying and laughing. Sury approached and kissed her head.

"You could have called me, I

SarahMy head might as well have been tossed from side to side before they fitted it back to my neck. I was so dizzy when I opened my eyes. Everything spun for a moment and I blinked several times to focus on the lights and images in front of me. My body was still heavy.I wanted to brush the hair out of my face, but when I went to move my arm, I realized it didn't move. Instead, the rattle of chains rang out, waking me up completely to what had just happened.I had been captured. Hunters... Liane...I sniffed the air, but what I smelled was, in fact, hopeless. That sour artichoke smell I never understood was there. I pressed my eyes to the image forming in front of me and almost wanted to yank my hands out of the grip of those chains.Bruce."Finally..." He remained seated in the chair. His gunmetal gray overcoat reaching below his knees. That superior touch that irritated my soul. The dark blond hair, the wispy beard and the drooping, dull eyes that made you want to throw up. I trie

AmeliaA thick growl sounded from inside the cell, a growl I didn't think Elija could manage under these conditions. Maybe it was pain, maybe it was hate, or both. My knees nearly gave out, but I quickly tried to steady myself. I felt like a kid ice skating for the first time.Elija was now slowly sitting up, hands in front of her, bound by the chains. He looked at them and growled again."Elija..." I whispered raising my hands as if I was trying to calm a deadly and hungry beast, which was true. "You need to be quiet." I asked and he looked back at me as if the wolf was in his place analyzing me. He wrinkled his nose, trying to pull the chains, which only made more noise. I looked at the stairs, distraught. "Please, you must be quiet. If they know you're awake now..." I tried to approach the cell, but rational fear crept into my bones. He didn't seem very receptive. Especially with a stranger like me."And who would you be?" His face was not pleasant at all. I don't judge. She's blee

AmeliaElija opened the cell door and placed her foot on the smooth cement before narrowing her eyes at me."Sorry I almost cut your finger off." I spoke too quickly and maybe it wasn't a good idea to remind him. He ran a hand over his wrists as he glared at me. His nails had already stopped bleeding and his wrists were clotting again.Incredible."You did good." He said, before resting his hand on top of my right shoulder and walking out of there."Wait." I ran and got in front of him before I finished climbing the stairs. and close the curtains first." I finished upstairs still looking at him and opened the door. The house was quiet and blissfully empty.I sniffed and walked to the back windows. I looked outside and ended up seeing a lone or two standing back near the trees. I closed the curtains and when I turned around I saw Elija heading into the kitchen. She walked calmly as if she weren't in danger of being shot in the back of the head. She still held the massive pliers in one

AmeliaForgive me, but you missed it the moment you decided to step inside."Hey!" I heard Bram's damn voice and both men turned their heads in our direction at the same time I fired at the lone left who was standing by the counter. However, despite Bram's distraction, the bullet went straight through the loner's forehead. His black eyes stared into mine until at some point they lost their sparkle. And it didn't take long for him to fall to his knees on the floor. And suddenly my breathing got too heavy. The other loner cursed. He had dodged Elija's lunge at the last second, and the Alpha only managed to sink his teeth into his forearm before the loner pulled out in fright. The gun was pointed at me mid-act and the bullet ended up going through my arm like pure fire. I screamed in pain, and reflexively dropped the gun to the ground. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Bram getting up slowly, still dazed. I heard snarling and more snarling, and another shot rang out somewhere. My

AmeliaI could recognize that chocolate color anywhere. I lowered the gun in my hands and felt my eyes blur with tears."Amelia!" Elija screamed my name. "BEHIND, BEHIND YOU!"We hadn't paid attention to the front door...I heard the shot, and the gun that was in my hand fell. I couldn't take my weight and my knees hit the hard floor and then my shoulder. The pain was something I didn't feel. Maybe my brain hadn't had time to send the signal, maybe that part had shut down from the shock. But one thing I knew, everything was spinning and going dark."SHIT... Amelia!" For the first time I heard Elija's excited voice. I still managed to look at him for a second before my reflection blurred. I heard a shot and then another and another. Those hollow gunshots wouldn't stop until I heard snarling and snarling through my poor vision.I closed my eyes without even wanting to. I knew Bram's body was torn apart right behind me. I didn't want to think about it, but I couldn't help it. He had take

MarkIt had been hours and still nothing for Sarah to return. Liane and Sury were in a nervous state, but me, I was a thousand times worse."I'll be right back." I said and ran to the back door."Hey Mark, don't you dare leave this house." I ignored Sury and ran barefoot in that snow before changing. The intense pain almost broke my bones, but I ran following the scent Sarah had left that was now faint in the air. It was snowing and I couldn't help but think that I was to blame for all of this. Those hunters, they came because of me.I saw some bloodstains in the snow where those bodies were and I also saw the tracks as if they had been dragged away. I followed all the way to where they ended and came across the place where the snow was thinner. Where Sarah had probably buried the bodies.Where is she? Where are you please...My blood was hot and cold at the same time, something primal poking at me like spikes. She was my Alpha's partner, she was my Alpha, and she was gone after savin

"Because your beautiful companion is in his hands..."And when I heard that, my whole body froze. And anger turned to ice in my blood. I heard James gasp a few steps behind me. The air grew heavy around me.I must be hearing it wrong..."What did you say?"That was smart, wasn't it? Wait for the idiots to come and leave Alpha alone. "The anger I was feeling inside me was already way beyond my control when I found myself walking towards him. Wanting to rip that head off at once. "I smelled you on her, you know? "I grabbed the bastard's coat and pulled him to face me. The wolves around us seemed to grow restless. Perhaps worried about what I would do, or wanting to kill him in my place, I didn't care at the moment. "Calm down big man, if I don't come back by tomorrow alive and in one piece, Bruce will shoot her pretty little head. "That word was the only one I didn't want to hear."If you lay a finger on her, I'll break your filthy bodies in half. "Abell dared to laugh again, but it did

SarahI woke up with my body and neck still sore. I looked around slowly and my hope faded again.I realized that I was in the same cold place and not on that soft and comfortable mattress, lying next to my partner. It hadn't just been a nightmare. The cement was freezing under me, but at least the railings weren't silver. I could lean against the corner of the cell and cringe. However, they were just as firm and untouchable. I'd already tried breaking in, bending, hitting and kicking. They didn't even creak. There was no noise from inside or outside other than the sharp wind that slithered through the gap in the window next to the cell. I sat up feeling my skin crawl with cold. It felt like dawn or morning, but it was too dark in here to be sure. The weather might just be bad enough outside. My stomach shuddered with hunger and I had a huge urge to pee.I leaned my head against the railing and sighed."It's going to be alright..." I whispered to myself, to my wolf and to my possible

EpilogueSix years later..Ever since the twins started walking, the house was a mess a minute after it was tidied up. And boy, if my blood wasn't wolf, I'd be crazy right now.I was lying on the rug in the living room resting for a while. The sofa was out of the way because I had pushed it so I could get a cart that Hazel had let roll under it and I was enjoying a few seconds while the twins were in the room playing. But that didn't last long."Mommy!" I heard Hailey's voice and looked up just long enough to see the red mane running towards me before she jumped on top of me. I laughed and rolled with her on the rug."Where's your brother?" I asked and she looked at me with those caramel eyes."He's mad because he said I took his cart."What cart?"A red one." I looked over at the coffee table and saw the cart I'd just grabbed from under the couch."Hazel!" I called him and after a few seconds, he appeared in the hall. The unruly black hair was already down to his ears. His eyes, also

SarahThe next day I said I was going to call James with the news, but Stanley cut me off by saying he wasn't ready for visitors yet. I looked at his face with Hazel in his lap and laughed as Hailey slept in her crib after nursing. Hazel had more trouble falling asleep than she did."Aren't you ready, Daddy?" I asked wryly and Stanley nodded as he looked at Hazel with his hazel eyes still wide. He and his sister were the cutest things in the world. At night, Stanley took my cell phone and handed it to me."Here." He looked apologetic. "I was such an asshole, sorry. You can warn your brother and father about our children." He murmured as he felt our lips together."It's okay, I understand how it is, Stanley. I won't blame you for wanting some time with me and the twins before the others arrive." He smoothed my cheek and I picked up the phone. I went to the couch and sat down already dialing James's number. Stanley sat on the arm of the couch and watched me."Hello? Little sister?" Jame

Six months later...SarahI'm not going to say that pregnancy is easy and beautiful, because most of the time it isn't. I was already exhausted and hadn't even given birth yet. I just wanted to eat and sleep. I had put on twenty kilos and my back was asking for relief. And Stanley loved every second of every day because he wasn't the one pregnant. But, of course, there were also the magical moments. Like, for example, the first time the baby moved at 3 months and I screamed Stanley to feel it with me. I also loved rubbing my stomach and imagining perfectly the little thing that was there inside me. I loved lying on the grass in the early morning because it was the only position I didn't feel my back screaming for mercy. And it was summer, so the weather was perfect and convenient to enjoy. And the last moment I loved was when we decided on the names. That was actually last night when I couldn't sleep. Because apparently it was my baby's favorite time to kick my belly. Stanley kept tal

SarahA week had passed and there were only two more left for christmas. I'm not going to say that I wasn't really anxious to find out if I was really carrying a puppy inside me or not, because until now, I hadn't felt anything different. And that has been very frustrating.I asked Liane over and over again how long it took her to find out she was pregnant and she simply replied that it was much faster for us.For humans, it was normal to feel the first symptoms after the second or third week, while for wolves, this decreased by half. The thing is, a week had already passed. Liane just said I didn't have to worry about it and keep trying. It was obvious that I was. After all that hell we'd been through, I actually grabbed Stanley by the neck and pulled him into the bedroom whenever we had time. And we harnessed each other at all times. It was impossible for me not to get pregnant with him... Right?I found myself opening the fridge for the tenth time just to cut up another piece of sa

MandyMark was shirtless and yet the wide open window let in all the icy wind. However, the temperature inside was still incredibly pleasant."I already told you to go. As you can see, I'm fine." He pointed at himself and turned around."Well? That doesn't look right to me. You missed class today."I'm just tired."Ahem..." I looked at his body and his back. Messy hair and skin glistening with sweat. "Look at me."Mandy, go away. Please. You don't want to be here and it's a bad idea."If I didn't want to be here, I wouldn't be here. Let me help you." My body was starting to get weirder with every second I spent inside this room.Mark turned away again and went to the window to close it when I started to shiver. What he didn't know was that it wasn't because of the cold that I was shivering."Sury is down there?" He asked."She was on her way out when I arrived. It's just the two of us here." I saw his shoulders tense."I'm sorry, I asked her not to come to your house."It's okay." I w

Stanley"You're coming into heat and need a female."What?" He got up out of the snow so fast the snow on his arms flew into his head. "No. No. No. Obviously not."You're already sixteen and you turned a few weeks ago. You knew very well your heat was going to come at some point, didn't you? Did Sury talk to you about it?"She said something like that." He covered his face with his hands and bent his knees. Probably distressed. "What the fuck... What the fuck!"I know how you feel. During my first heat I locked myself in my room and waited for it to pass for three weeks without seeing anyone. It didn't go away. Much less did it get better. My father forced me to wake up to life and said it was just a passing." I looked at him still desolate. "It's something natural for our species, Mark."I don't want that." I cracked a smile, then scratched my nose to hide it."I know you don't. I'm your Alpha, I'm just trying to help you." I heard him mutter an expletive."And what did you do?"What

SarahAfter lunch, Stanley came back from the call and took a deep breath before putting the device back in his pocket. The pale eyes landed on me and then I saw there was something going on."I need to go to the pack house. It looks like Mark's human friend is there and the wolves who didn't know about the situation are worried."Situation?" I asked and Stanley looked at me as if he understood something I didn't."When you were captured. Mark ended up opening his mouth and saying that Antony had known about us for a few days. Mark transformed and he saw. He thought that the hunters had come because his friend knew."That's why he looked so scared..."I could remember his hands shaking..."Poor thing... I'll come along."I hadn't seen any of them since I was captured and I needed to see them with my own eyes."I expected you to come with me." He walked over and placed a kiss on my cheek. His pheromones had already returned to normal again. I mean, as much as possible. Because even after

Stanley"How often are you two in heat?" Sarah asked me as she stroked my chest. It was torture. Complete. And I was holding back a lot not to go to the second round."I've only been in heat twice before." Her eyes widened and her beautiful fingers stopped stroking my skin."Swear?"It's the two obligatory heats of a wolf. For both sexes." She furrowed her brows even more confused. So I continued to explain. "When we first turned at sixteen and when we entered wolf maturity." She gaped."After that you never had any again?"After that, males only come into heat with the potential female or mate. Through her heats." And then Sarah went back to running her fingers along my ribs. They settle down. Probably when you're in heat, I'll join you too." Then her fingers stopped again and she lifted her face to get a better look at me."Go in..." She bit her lip in a naughty way. "Okay, that's quite convenient." I narrowed my eyes and couldn't help but smile."Convenient, isn't it...?" I turned

My hands moved over soft, silky fur before I felt it moving too.I opened one eye slowly and that's when I saw the huge body of the black wolf lying beside me. It took up practically the entire space of the bed and was glued to me. And the warm thing I felt on my face was his nose against my cheek.Stanley must have shifted in his sleep and not even noticed. It was probably his wolf's unconscious way of healing faster. His delicious scent was all over the bed and the bandage on his belly had come off in the transformation.I hugged his body and settled my head on his neck before I heard a hoarse growl coming from deep inside his chest. The sound of his wolf only made me more enthralled. And then I felt a sniffle in my hair."Sarah..."My eyes widened when I heard that voice in my head. I quickly li
