Chapter three.

In a luxurious mansion, A guy walked in, he was dressed in casual outfit, his brown hair slicked backwards leaving just a few strands to fall down his face. He was tall, well built and also very handsome, his light brown eyes complementing his looks.

Another guy was sitting in the living area, his legs crossed, he was sipping on his juice, his eyes focused on the television in front of him. The house was a definition of a modern house, nice furnitures, painting, from the looks of it, you can tell the owner is very wealthy.

"Got anything interesting for me?" The voice spoke, he has this deep masculine voice, a voice that could make a person shiver.

"Yes Alpha." The other guys said taking a seat beside the Alpha, he was holding a paper to which he gave the Alpha, it was details of a girl, Alpha scanned through it before placing it on the table.

"Well, she was the only survivor, I don't know how she managed to survive with injuries, she got stabbed in her stomach, she's in the hospital right now, when she's discharged I'll have the people bring her here." The guys said, his name was kael, he was the beta and also best friend to the Alpha whose name was Kieran.

"Hmm.....any report on the killers?" Alpha asked, his fingers tapping on his thighs.

"After a thorough search, we found the body of three people, they were not in the best shape and also found in different places, they are werewolves but not from this pack, from the conclusion I think she killed them by herself, Although I don't know how." Kael said.

"We'll find out." The Alpha said. "What can I do?" Kael asked looking at Alpha.

"Keep an eye on the girl, when she wakes up, we'll have a little chat..and find out who's pack they belong to." Alpha stated.

"I tried but nothing came up, their body was too damaged to even check for any symbol or something." Kael stated, the room fell silent.

"They are fucking psychos, killing an entire village because of a girl? Then she must be a valuable asset." Alpha said after a pause.

"You can go, I'd like to think." Alpha simple said before raising up from his chair, he walked majestically up his stairs. Kael sat back looking at the file on the table.

Meanwhile. A few days later.

Rhea opened her eyes just to squint it back because of the brightness in the room, she then opened it back, it took her a while to adjust to the room, she looked around, everywhere seem different.

Rhea quickly sat up out of fear but she groaned in pain, she held her stomach, where she got stabbed, her head was also throbbing like crazy, she noticed that her injuries were taken care of, she was in a different clothes.

Just then a woman entered, who is seen to be a doctor. "You're awake." She said walking towards the bed.

"Where am I? Who are you?" Rhea asked, the woman smiled.

"I am doctor Sally, I am here to run a quick test on you, to see if you're okay." Doctor Sally said and Rhea nodded, the doctor took some tests and walked out of the ward.

Rhea was told to get dressed into something else, a black shirt and blue jeans, she was then escorted out of the building by men in black suit, they led her to this sleek black car, the car looked very expensive.

Rhea's mind was racing, she didn't know where this people were taking her to, she didn't even know them or where she was, everywhere was so unfamiliar.

The car stopped in front of a mansion, Rhea's eyes widen, she has never seen a house this big, this beautiful before. They got to the front door, they walked into the house and Rhea was more than stunned. It was even more beautiful on the inside.

"Alpha, she's here." One of the men said earning a nod from th Alpha, they all went outside closing the door behind her, Rhea stood in shock, ahead of her, on the sofa were two guys seated.

"Sit." A voice said and Rhea followed, she walked slowly to the sofa where the men were seated, she sat opposite them, one of them has brown hair and eyes, he looked handsome and nice.

The other man, his eyes were closed, his fingers on his temples, he has black silky hair which was slicked backwards showing his full face, his face was sculpted to perfection, sharp jawline, nice eyes brows, well defined face, from his body, you can tell that he was well built, he looked like a Greek god.

Rhea's heard skipped a beat seeing them both. "Listen, we only need to ask a few questions and we need your cooperation." The guys with brown hair said and Rhea slowly nodded.

"What happened to your village?" Kael asked, his voice normal. Rhea squinted her eyes, the memories a bit hard to remember, just then everything came flodding back.

"Um, it was a normal evening, my brother and I were in my room, the house felt silent, we heard noises, my brother was the first to go downstairs and my... Parents were gone, they killed everyone including him, I managed to run away but they were so fast, I call for help but none, that's all I remember." Rhea said her voice broke as she was talking, she didn't remember it all but this was solid enough.

"Judging by the fact that you were not killed immediately that means they were looking for you, why were they looking for you?" Kael asked.

"I don't know why they were looking for me, I swear I am telling the truth." Rhea said, kael placed a paper in front of her, it was the dead bodies of the men that night.

"Do you know them?" Kael asked, he watched as Rhea looked at the paper, her eyes scanning it and her brow furrows, as if she was trying to recall something.

Chapter SixRhea managed to walk back to her room, her heart pounding in her chest. She had absorbed the full weight of what the Alpha had said, and from his demeanor, it was clear he was dead serious. She sat on her bed, staring into space as questions swirled in her mind. How would she ever live with someone like him? What was she even doing here? Could he really kill her? These thoughts pressed in on her like an insurmountable weight. She closed her eyes, her mind replaying the events of the past few weeks, from the safety of her once happy life to this terrifying uncertainty. Tears slipped down her cheeks, though she quickly wiped them away, forcing herself to sleep. She clung to a tiny sliver of hope that when she woke up, everything would be back to normal. When the first light of dawn pierced her window, it landed directly on her face, forcing her to frown. Groggily, she opened her eyes. Morning had come. She stretched, yawning, and then climbed off her bed, heading for the ba

Chapter SevenKael walked into his office, sighing in relief as he loosened his tie slightly. The day had barely begun, but he already felt drained. He shrugged off his suit jacket and hung it over the chair before walking to the window. With a single pull, he drew up the blinds, allowing natural light to filter into the room. He closed his eyes briefly, enjoying the warmth before heading back to his desk. Sitting down, he powered on his laptop and got straight to work. A few minutes later, the sound of the door opening caught his attention. He glanced up to see a familiar figure step inside. A young woman, of average height, with short blonde hair and deep ocean-blue eyes, entered his office. She wore a black office shirt tucked into a neatly pressed black pleated skirt, paired with black heels. In one hand, she held a steaming cup of coffee, and in the other, a file filled with documents. A bright smile adorned her face as she approached. "Good morning, Mr. Kael. I brought you c

Chapter NineRhea had been in the house all day. Even though it had everything she needed, the routine was monotonous—wake up, eat, sleep, watch TV, repeat. She had grown restless, so to break the cycle, she decided to explore the house a little. Wandering through the halls, she stumbled upon a mini-library. The room was lined with shelves filled with books—romance, thrillers, even historical fiction. She was surprised. Kieran doesn’t seem like the type to read romance novels... so why are they here? she wondered. But she wasn’t about to complain. At least she had something to keep her occupied. She grabbed three books and made herself comfortable in the living area, sitting on the floor with snacks and a bottle of water beside her. She immersed herself in the stories, flipping page after page until, without realizing it, exhaustion crept up on her. She was halfway through the third book when sleep overtook her, her head resting against the hardcover propped on the center table.

He knew Kieran wouldn't like being disturbed, but this was important. While Kieran went upstairs, Kael made himself comfortable in the living room, turning on the television. He flipped through the channels, settling on a news broadcast when he heard footsteps approaching. Rhea walked in, dressed in a simple yet elegant outfit. Her silver eyes held a hint of curiosity and hesitation. “Good evening,” she greeted politely, her voice soft but clear. Kael turned to her and smiled. “Good evening, Rhea. Why don’t you join me?” She hesitated for a moment before sitting down on the couch, though she kept a noticeable distance from him. “You don’t have to be so tense. I’m just a friend,” Kael assured her with a friendly chuckle. Rhea gave a small nod, relaxing just a little. “How’s it been, staying with Kieran?” he asked, tilting his head slig

Chapter Thirty-FourRhea and Anna got smoothies, and after that, they returned home. Rhea walked into the house with the books in her hand. She took off her jacket, placed both the books and her jacket on the couch, and headed straight to the kitchen. She washed her hands and grabbed a bottle of water from the refrigerator before making her way back to the living room. She sat down on the couch, took a sip, and began flipping through one of the books. As she read, she noticed something peculiar. None of the books clearly specified who had attacked the white witches. The identity of the attackers remained unknown, even after the fall of Sylvaria. It also wasn’t stated whether Queen Madora’s daughter had survived or perished in the attack. That detail was completely omitted—as if her very existence was a mystery they were trying to erase.Rhea frowned, frustrated. So many gaps. She had a million questions, but none of the books gave her any answers. Just when she was beginning to get lo

As expected, there were different classifications—Black witches, White witches, and a few lesser-known subgroups. Rhea and Anna settled on the floor more comfortably, flipping carefully through the fragile, yellowed pages, trying not to damage the brittle paper. The first section was boldly titled:Black Witches'Centuries ago, Black witches and White witches lived together in peace and harmony. They were equals in power, bound by shared knowledge and mutual respect. For a time, all was well. But eventually, the Black witches desired more—they sought a power that would set them apart, a force darker and older than anything known to the magical world.''Despite the warnings of the elders, the Black witches delved into forbidden magic—ancient, chaotic power hidden away for a reason. This dark force was said to whisper wickedness into the minds of those who summoned it, corrupting their hearts, twisting

Chapter Thirty-Two:Golden PackIn a quiet neighborhood of the Golden Pack, a woman returned home from the market. Her arms were full, holding a bag of groceries packed with fruits, vegetables, and a few household items. The late morning sun cast long shadows as she walked toward her modest house, her mind already preoccupied with what to cook for lunch.“I’m home!” she called as she stepped into the house, kicking the door shut behind her.Silence.She frowned slightly. There was usually some sort of response, the sound of her children playing, her husband watching TV or calling out from the kitchen. But now, nothing."Hmm… maybe they’re outside playing," she murmured, brushing the unease off with a forced smile. She moved quickly, placing the groceries on the kitchen counter. She decided to tidy the house first before preparing lunch. Chapter Thirty-OneRhea shot up from her bed, her chest rising and falling rapidly as she gasped for breath. Her body was drenched in sweat, and her eyes were wide with fear as if she had seen a ghost. Her hands trembled as they clutched the sheets, her heart pounding in her ears. The pain in her head still lingered, sharp and unforgiving, like the last sting of a nightmare refusing to leave her alone. She looked around, slowly realizing that she was back in her room. The familiar surroundings brought little comfort. The soft hum of the ceiling fan, the glow of the moonlight through her window, the half-empty bottle of water on her nightstand—it was all the same. And yet… everything felt different.“What was that?” Rhea whispered to herself, brushing damp strands of hair from her forehead. It had been a long time since she’d had a dream like that—if she could even call it a dream. No… it felt real. Too vivid, too intense, too terrifying to be just a figment of her imagination. The dea

She slipped into a light, oversized mini dress that hung loosely over her figure, and tied her hair into a ponytail.Once dressed, she walked into the living room and sat down to eat the food Aaron had brought from the restaurant earlier. The meal, though simple, tasted better than anything she had eaten in days. It brought a warmth to her stomach that momentarily silenced the lingering unease in her chest. After she finished eating, Rhea returned to her room, her body aching with exhaustion. It had been an emotionally and physically draining day. As soon as her head hit the pillow, her eyelids grew heavy, and she drifted into a deep sleep. But her slumber was far from peaceful.Rhea’s eyes fluttered open.

Chapter Twenty-NineA woman walked into a tall, isolated building nestled deep in a forest. The trees outside were lifeless, their twisted branches like claws reaching toward the gray sky. The air felt stiff, dead, even. This was not a place where life thrived. It was a place of shadows, of silence, of wicked intentions and unholy chaos. She wore a long hooded cloak that concealed her face and form, the fabric whispering across the cold marble floor as she entered a large, dimly lit café-like room within the building. Her heels clicked softly, echoing in the stillness. She paused in the center of the room."Do you always have to hide in the dark?" she asked with a teasing smile as she flipped on the light switch. The soft yellow glow revealed a man seated comfortably on a black velvet sofa, a glass of red wine in hand. His legs were crossed, one arm slung lazily over the back of the sofa. His dark eyes sparkled with amusement as he turned to face her."How was your tour of the outside

She leaned forward to take a nice whiff, smiling to herself—until she suddenly felt the tickle of a sneeze. She turned away quickly and let out a soft “achoo,” trying to keep it as discreet as possible. She rubbed her nose lightly, hoping it would end there, but the tickling sensation returned, stronger this time. Her eyes began to water slightly, and she blinked rapidly to stop the tears from spilling. Her body began to feel hot, uncomfortable, and itchy in certain spots.Trying to remain composed, Rhea focused on calming her breathing just as the waiter arrived with their order.“Please enjoy,” the waiter said, placing the food in front of them with a warm smile. “If there’s any issue, you can ring the little bell on the table.

Everything was so quiet, and eventually, Rhea found herself growing bored and restless. She laid her head down on her desk for just a moment, hoping a short rest would help pass the time. But before she knew it, she had fallen asleep. She woke up with a jolt at exactly 5:00 p.m. Sharp.Yawning softly, she stretched to shake off the remaining sleepiness. With quick hands, she began arranging her desk, smoothing out papers and shutting down her computer. The silence still lingered, which made her assume that most employees had already gone home for the day.Deciding to check in with Kieran before leaving, she walked up to his office. Kael watched her go before turning back to the employees, who were still whispering among themselves. "Alright, let's get back to work. Sorry for the inconvenience." The workers nodded, some still shaken by what they had just witnessed. Kael let out a sigh before heading straight to Kieran’s office. The moment he stepped inside, Kieran raised his head to acknowledge his presence. "Find me a replacement for Ethan," Kieran said simply, his voice devoid of any emotion. "I figured you'd say that," Kael replied, leaning against the desk. "But what about his father? You know how he is. He’s not going to take this lightly. The injuries alone will make him furious."
