"What do you mean again". She asked him. He smirked.

" That night we met, I came here hoping I'd see you how it was in the past...... but I was wrong "

Brianna ignored him then said once again.

"Let go of my hand"

"Oh drop the act I've been holding your hand for quite a while now we both know you were enjoyed my touch"

Was he teasing her. At a place like this. What romance was this?.

She almost started pouting after what she heard, she thought she'd spit out blood.

" It's not like I'm gonna hurt you".

His voice was deep which steered something deep inside of her.

" Hurt me huh".

She thought if she should laugh or just cry..... again.

"You.... you already hurt me five years ago"

She smiles without any emotions in her clear black eyes.

"Do you really think I'll let you hurt me again"

Ayden stared at her dumbstruck.

Again.

"You must be dreaming"She concluded.

This time she was was vicious and God damn serious.

Ayden had always cared for Brianna because she was true to her feelings and she never kept anything inside even though she did....... she would let it out. All she needed was time.

He smiled.

" Let go of my hand ". Her voice was deep and shallow. Void of any emotions like she was having hidden secrets which were about to pour out if you listened closely.

After she said those words she unconsciously asked herself.

'where did that come from'.

But still she was right. Ayden had hurt her feelings not once but twice, not just walking out on her but also insulting their relationship as a whole.

This showed she never meant much to him. She thought, but that was not the case.

Ayden cared for her way more than she could have ever imagined.

Well there is a saying.

'You never know how important a person is important to you, until you loose that person'

That was right Ayden never realized how important Brianna was to him not knowing she was his happiness, he cared for her wholeheartedly and thought he could walk out and come back once again.

But when he came back. She was gone.

Finally ayden did let go of her hand. And pulled away from her, in the dark alley there was a blinking light there.

Ayden walked and stood close to the pole to get a closer look at the girl he longed to see for a very long time.

He took out his cigarette still staring at her. He lit it and began to smoke.

Brianna stared at him wanting to ask him when he started to smoke.

"How long have you been smoking". She inquired.

Ayden stared at her lazily. Having no intention to answer her.

Brianna was worried, she never thought Ayden would be the type to smoke.

There must be a reason why.

She inquired further.

" Are you addicted". She was curious to know why, how and most importantly when.

Ayden smiled casually.

"Ever since I stopped seeing you". He said answering her first question.

His words hit her hard.

She was dumbstruck.

Ever since he stopped seeing me. Five years ago.

He couldn't possibly be depressed right. So why on earth would he smoke.

" Why". Her voice was low but he could still hear her.

Rebal laughed.

"Are you worried ?". He asked mischeviously.

Brianna looked at him bewildered.

Is he smiling over something like that.

She couldn't stand as he kept smoking in front of her.

She immediately walked over to him and took the cigarette from his hand throwing it aside she looked at him in horror.

"You have to stop this". Ayden smiled once again.

" Relax. I'm not addicted ". Brianna breathe a sigh of relief.

Ayden looking at her unwavering.

We haven't met for so long but at least you still care.

He internally smiled while still staring at her with am intense gaze.

In the dead silence in the corner with a few distant noises.

Ayden finally spoke.

" Bria I haven't hurt you in any way, and even if I have I'm sorry"

He apologized....., he apologized, why on earth is he apologizing. Bria?.

" Don't call me that"

...Ayden stared at her with question in his eyes, while she just looked away.

"We're not so close so you can't call me bria. Only people close to me can call me that. As for you call me by my full name. Brianna"

The words leaving briannas lips left almost no room for argument.

"Right now you.... are just an acquaintance. I just happen to know you so..... "

She turned to look back at him.

"Don't push your buttons.

Brianna knew very well how harsh her words were, but she still said it.

That was not compared to what he had done to her.

She knew her words would hurt him deeply afterall he cared for her and her showing him now that she doesn't care......this was not considered to be called payback.

Her words were spitting fire to him without any remorse.

Ayden thought to himself.

'woah. I only say one and she gives me ten? '

He consoled himself secretly then said.

"I never thought you'd ever say such words to me"

This caused Brianna to laugh.

She couldn't take it anymore as she turned to leave, he suddenly moved to stop her.

"Now why are you leaving. I mean you can't be that mad"

"I'm mad? "

"No I mean look whatever happened between us it's all my fault and I know that....... but I have reasons"

He said as a matter of seriousness.

"But you didn't complain back then so what's all this about"

"Stop!!!. I didn't complain?.Was I supposed to kneel down and beg you!"

"No that's not what I mean". Ayden cut in trying to explain his intentions.

Brianna was being so unreasonable now.

" You couldn't even read meaning to my lines. And you said I didn't complain ".

Brianna was so mad right now her eyes we're fuming with rage.

"You were being so straightforward it was so unlike you. I tried to get you to talk to me but you refused to....... say any....... thing"

Her words broke as her eyes pricked to cry.

She would always cry whenever she remembers this event which is why she never tried to......concealing the hurt inside of her she always avoids to think about it. Because she knew how much thought she put into understanding why he did that. But right now she wanted to make him see exactly what he did and that it wasn't funny at all.
