By the time Alden arrived at the school with his brothers, Diana was seated at the headmaster's office, a furious scowl masking her face.
She glanced briefly at them as they entered the office and without another word, she grabbed her backpack and stomped out of the office towards the car.She didn't want to be there when headmaster Walter bellowed in her brothers’ face, about how she had anger issues and how she almost destroyed Syrena's pretty face!Lost in deep thought, she suddenly bumped into a hard body and she groaned, almost missing her step."I'm so sorry," a deep voice said, and strong arms circled her, keeping her steady. "I didn't see you coming."Diana bit back the sharp retort when she looked up and her eyes met deep stormy gray eyes, hidden slightly underneath a curtain of blonde hair.It was Jasper Donovan, Headmaster Walter's new assistant.Diana took a hasty step backwards, her face slowly turning red with a deep blush. So the rumors were true, she thought. Jasper was devilishly handsome. No wonder all the girls went haywire whenever he was around. He was quiet, almost mysterious. As for her, she didn't find him all that attractive because the only men whom she felt attracted to were her brothers, and Jasper didn't hold a candle to them. Jasper was like a discarded rag doll compared to Alden..."Are you okay?" Jasper snapped his fingers underneath Diana's nose, trying to get her attention.Diana shook her head, cursing herself inwardly for losing focus again. What the hell was wrong with her?"I'm sorry," she stammered, her face turning redder from embarrassment. "I just... I didn't see you there... I...""It's alright, Diana," Jasper smiled, and Diana had to admit that he was indeed handsome, just not as handsome as her brothers."You know my name," she stated with a strained smile."Of course," Jasper chuckled. "I'm the headmaster's assistant. It's my job.""Right." Diana nodded and tucked a lock of dark hair behind her ear. "I'm sorry I bumped into you Mister Jasper.""Just Jasper is fine." Jasper amended smoothly, staring at Diana like one obsessed. "And just between both of us, I think Syrena deserves what she got."Diana's eyes widened and a mischievous smile curled her lips. "You're not gonna scold me?" she asked with narrowed eyes.Jasper chuckled again and shook his head. "I saw everything that happened," he said, and then shrugged. "I don't support violence of any sort, but bullies like Syrena need to be put in their place.""Wow," Diana beamed. "I never thought anyone would take my side.""I guess you didn't," Jasper shrugged again. "But it will be our little secret.""Sure," Diana nodded, her eyes twinkling with mischief.Just then, a soft wind blew towards their direction, and blew Diana's hair over her face.Without thinking, Jasper took a step forward, his hand outstretched to push her hair off her face when a hand landed on his shoulder and pushed him backwards.Diana looked up to find Alden, Asher and Axel, surrounding her while glaring daggers at Jasper. For a full minute, the air was filled with tension. Jasper didn't budge as he stared down at the three handsome men before him. His eyes remained their original color, but beneath all that calm was a strange rage slowly building up.As for the triplets, their eyes had shifted to gold, a sign of their beast. The look in their furious eyes was clear- they didn't like Jasper, especially when he almost touched Diana."And who are you?" Jasper asked after a while.Unable to bear the tension anymore, Diana stepped forward and clasped Alden's hand in hers."Jasper, these are my brothers," she quickly explained. "The future Alphas. Alden, Asher, Axel, this is Jasper Donovan, Headmaster Walter's new assistant.""A pleasure to meet you three," Jasper said politely, but he didn't hold out his hand for a handshake. He knew protection when he saw it, but this? These men were more than protective over Diana. They were more... possessive. Strange, he thought."We had a talk with Headmaster Walter already," Alden finally spoke out, his eyes still staring at Jasper suspiciously. "Everything has been resolved. So your help isn't needed.""Alden!" Diana gasped, shocked at the blatant disrespect."Right. Stay away from Diana." Asher added, a frown creasing his perfect brows."It's for your own good." Axel finished, and without another word, they all turned and walked towards the car, Alden pulling Diana with him.Diana tried to turn and apologize to Jasper but Axel was directly behind her so she missed her chance. Alden pulled the car door open and ushered her in, placing his hand on her hair so she wouldn't bump her head. Then they got into the car, pulled out of the driveway and sped off.Jasper stood there watching the car until it disappeared, then he sighed tiredly and walked back into the school....Diana fumed all the way home. She refused to speak and just stared outside, muttering incoherently. Not that she felt pity or anything for Jasper. He was practically a stranger to her. But the fact that her brothers had acted so possessive over her was a bit embarrassing. She had always enjoyed their over protectiveness, and their possessive side. But today, it felt really embarrassing. How would Jasper see her? How could they be so disrespectful?"Diana why did you do that?" Asher finally asked from the front seat.Diana huffed and folded her arms. "Don't even begin to lecture me, Asher," she snapped. "Syrena was pushing it and I lost control and...""That's not what I'm talking about." Asher cut her short. "We don't care what you did to Syrena. She probably deserved it. Why did you let that man touch you?"Diana's eyes widened as she realized her brothers weren't pissed about her fight in school that day. They were pissed because Jasper tried to touch her. Why?"He was only going to move my hair out of my eyes," she tried to explain."He had no right," Axel snapped beside her. "No one, absolutely no one has the right to touch you Diana. Don't you understand? You belong to us!"Strangely enough, Diana was happy when her brothers claimed her as theirs that way. But that rebellious side within her emerged and she snapped back at them."I'm not an item to be owned. I have every right to talk to anyone I deem fit."Suddenly Alden stepped on the brakes and the Porsche slid to a stop outside their home. The force of the brakes threw Diana back in her seat, making the seatbelts tighten around her waist.Suddenly angry, she unbuckled the seatbelt and got down from the car, slammimg the door close."Diana!" Alden called out but she ignored them as she made her way towards the front door.Slam! The front door slammed shut and Diana stomped up the stairs to her room. Just when she reached for the doorknob, strong arms circled her waist and she found herself suddenly pinned to the wall, staring straight into intense golden eyes.Heartbeat accelerating, cheeks suddenly flushed with desire, eyes clouded and dilated, Diana stared silently at the mesmerizing eyes of her three handsome brothers. The embers of arousal between her thighs burst into flames when she felt strong fingers grip her waist. She felt hands gently grab her hair, pulling her face upwards so she could stare into their eyes.Alden was directly in front of her, pinning her with his hard body against the wall. The heat from his body was slowly driving her insane and she gulped softly. On her right was Axel, his hands wrapped gently around her hair. His eyes were pure gold as he stared at her with undisguised hunger. On her left was Asher, and the look in his eyes made her knees weak. His hands were wrapped tightly around her waist and he had his nose buried in her neck, sniffing her scent. Diana tried to protest, but her body betrayed her. She didn't want them to stop. The tiny voice in her head tried to break through, reminding her that these
"Diana, wait."Diana paused at the door and sighed. Her plan to leave for school unnoticed hadn't been successful. She just wanted to be alone. She wasn't ready to face her brothers. She turned and watched as the triplets hurried towards her."You're leaving without us?" Alden asked, a hurt expression on his face."I...," Diana stuttered."But we always drive you to school," Asher said next. "Are we bothering you?" Axel gently took her hand."No." Diana shook her head, staring at each of them in the eyes. "You could never bother me. Why would you think of something like that?""You've been avoiding us since last night," Axel said."If this is about what happened, what we tried to do...," Asher began."We're sorry," Alden apologized. "Maybe we got carried, and made you feel uncomfortable. We'll keep our distance now.""No," Diana shook her head again. "I don't want you to keep your distance. I..."She paused. It was at the tip of her tongue to tell them how much she loved them. Not ju
Diana felt skeptical returning to school the very next day after being in a fight with Syrena. If it had been up to her, she would have stayed home for a week before returning. Then, every side talk would have died down. Now, she would have to endure more weird looks from the other shifters."Here you go," Alden handed her her backpack. "We'll come pick you up later. And Diana, please...,""I know, I know," Diana rolled her eyes. "Stay away from Syrena and don't get into another fight."Asher and Axel looked amused and Alden reached out and tucked her hair behind her ear. "I was gonna tell you to be safe, but ignoring Syrena is also important."Diana shook her head, a soft smile tugging her lips. "Bye guys. Love you."She shut the door and made her way towards the large open doors.Alden watched her go, never taking his eyes off her until she was inside the school. Then he turned to his brothers."You know what you have to do," he said.Asher nodded. "We'll stay hidden in our wolf fo
"Diana, over here," Jason yelled.Diana resisted the urge to groan in frustration. Now the whole school knew she was going to sit with him. Could her day get any worse?Gripping her lunch tray carefully, she made her way through the aisle, trying not to fidget under the open stares from some of the students. She was almost at his table when someone stuck out their leg and Diana tripped on it. Her tray slipped from her hand as she struggled to balance herself.Someone screamed and Diana looked up, her eyes widening as she spotted Syrena drenched in milk. Her tray had landed on the floor, spilling the content everywhere, and the box of milk had splashed its content on some of the students.Syrena took the brunt of it.Someone snickered, and a few giggles followed. Soon the entire students burst out laughing. Syrena turned red with rage and she marched towards Diana."How dare you?!" she screamed."It... It was an accident," Diana stuttered, trying to hold back her own laughter. To se
"For the last time Headmaster Walter, I see nothing wrong with what I did," Jason drawled, his voice etched with exasperation. "I like Diana, and I feel we could be mates. What's wrong with telling her that?"They were currently in the Headmaster's office;Headmaster Walter, Jasper, Jason and Diana, Syrena and the triplets, Alden, Asher and Axel. When Jason admitted that he liked Diana, no one noticed the murderous looks that passed through Alden and his brothers' expression."Didn't you have a thing with Syrena?" Jasper asked next."There was never a thing between me and her," Jasper denied instantly, much to the annoyance of Syrena who stood beside him. "I like Diana, and I told her I would love to know her better. I know she's my mate.""I suggest you wait until the next mating ceremony before you lay claim to our sister," Asher grounded out coldly.Diana looked up at her brothers in surprise. She knew they were possessive when it came to boys, but to show it in the presence of so m
There was a brief moment of silence, but it was long enough for Alden to consider what good it would do if they told Diana she was mated to them.If Diana realized she was indeed mated to all three of them, the questions would start. How was it possible to be mated to ones brothers? And then they would have to tell her she wasn't really their sister, which would lead to more questions because Diana would want to know who she was and why the truth about her birth had been kept hidden for so long.It wasn't the right time yet. They still hadn't told their parents that Diana was their mate. Everything had to be done right. The timing mattered.Which was why he was hoping Diana would wolf out on her eighteenth birthday, and feel the pull of the mate bond. When that time came, he would be ready with an explanation to all her questions."How can you say that?" Alden finally spoke out, a look of astonishment on his face. "We can't be your mate, Diana. We're your brothers."Asher and Axel sho
Diana just stepped out from the bathroom when thunder shook the mansion and the wind picked up.Holding her towel around her body, she hurried towards the windows and closed it before the rain could pour in. The room became chilly and she quickly dried her body and slipped on her night dress.Someone knocked on the door and she turned around, slipping her hands through the sleeves of the dress."Come in."The door opened and Asher stepped in. He took one look at her and froze.Diana's night dress was a bit transparent as she stood under the chandelier, and the curves of her breast were visible. His eyes lowered, slowly taking in the smoothness of her flat tummy, the flair of her hips and her long slender legs."Asher?" Diana whispered. The burning look in his eyes was hard to resist, and she felt her nipples harden. The throbbing between her legs increased and she bit her lips.Asher's eyes darkened with desire and he slowly moved towards her. Diana watched him approach, but did noth
"Are you sure you're okay Ana?" Luna Catherine asked as she pulled the thick duvet over Diana, keeping her warm.Diana smiled. Only her mother called her Ana and it was a pet name that she had grown fond of. "I'm fine, mom," she answered. "I just..."When she trailed off, Luna Catherine sat on the side of the bed and gently stroked her hair."You know you can talk to me," she said with a kind smile. "I'm your mother.""I know," Diana sighed. "I'm just worried. What if I never find my wolf? What if I remain mateless? People would laugh at me, and you and dad would be ashamed. Imagine the daughter of the Alpha and Luna being wolfless and mateless.""Your father and I will never be ashamed of you," Luna Catherine said fiercely. "We love you Diana. Just because you haven't found your wolf doesn't make you any lesser than the others who have. You're kind, and you're special. You're my daughter, a gift from the moon goddess to me. My love for you would never depreciate just because you hav
100 years later... Alaric and Catherine had resigned as Alpha and Luna of the pack, leaving it for Alden and his brothers to rule. One fateful day, a new group of werewolves were brought to the pack. Just as it had been done years ago in the time of Alpha Alaric, werewolves who didn't belong to a pack traveled down to the Bloodmoon pack so they could be sworn in as members, and protected from the outside world. After they had sworn their loyalties to the triplets Alphas, the warriors began to group them into pack houses. Alden and his brothers left the beta and gamma to do the job and they left, taking a walk round the pack and making sure everyone was settling in. Suddenly, they perceived a sweet and unique scent. Asher was the first to stop abruptly, and then his brothers followed. "That sweet scent." Alden whispered. They couldn't be mistaken. Only one person had that scent, and they would recognize it anywhere. It was Diana. In the next instant, the triplets shifted into
Alden and his brothers were dumbstruck. It seemed they had seen a ghost. "Diana? Dad?" Asher whispered, unable to believe his eyes. He was terrified that if he blinked, they would disappear. Beside him, Alden and Axel were so still. It was Catherine who finally took a tentative step forward and gently stretched her hand forward. "Alaric," She said softly. "Is it really you?"Alpha Alaric smiled at her gently. Then he looked towards his daughter and gently placed a kiss on her hair. Turning back to his mate, he stepped out of the pool and took her in his arms. "It is, my love." His deep voice caressed her. "I came back to you."Catherine's eyes filled with tears as she touched her mate all over, making sure he was real and not a figment of her imagination. When she realized it was really him standing before her in flesh and blood, she burst into happy tears and threw herself into his arms. "Oh Alaric," She sobbed. "I thought I would never see you again. I was so lost without you
A week had gone by since the death of Alaric and Diana. Bloodmoon pack was deserted. After the war with Astrid, the other creatures had packed up their families and left the pack to the outside world. The Michaelson school lay in ruins. The only people left in the pack were the triplets, Catherine and a few of the warriors.Even after the war they won, things didn't go back to the way they were. The sky remained dark and moonless, and the realm felt like it had been sucked dry of life. Catherine moved about the mansion like a ghost, her face etched with the pain of her lost mate and her daughter. The only reason she didn't take her life were her sons. They were what made her live each day. As for Alden and his brothers, things would never be the same. Diana didn't just die; she took a part of them with her. And though they tried to ignore the pain and pretended like they were okay, deep down, the pain of losing her was all consuming. The days went by seamlessly, until one night,
Alaric slowly climbed to his feet behind Astrid and withdrew the dagger Diana had given to him. The pain he felt was excruciating, but he carefully trudged forward, his eyes intent on Astrid. He had to do it. He had to save everyone before it was too late. It wasn't easy for a father to kill his own child, but as Diana stated earlier, it was the only way. An Alpha had to make difficult decisions, no matter who it would affect. And at that point, destroying Diana's body which was inhabited by Astrid was the only way to save the entire realm. As he got closer to Astrid, Alden sensed him and he raised his head weakly. His gaze focused on Alaric and the moment he saw the dagger, he knew what his father was about to do. Kill Diana. Before he could hold himself, he yelled out unintentionally. "Father no!" Astrid whirled around instantly, her black eyes zeroing in on Alaric. She snarled at him and shot out her arm, sending Alaric flying backwards. "You werewolves never give up." She u
"You have to kill me."Alpha Alaric froze, the color draining from his face. He slowly released Diana, shaking his head in denial. "No," He whispered. "Dad please...""No Diana." Alaric shook his head, his entire body trembling. "How can you ask of something like that from me?""It is the only way." Diana cried out. "Astrid is going to destroy the realm, and she has already succeeded because the moon is gone...""No..." Alaric adamantly refused. "Dad we can't let more innocent people die...""I can't do it Diana!" Alaric suddenly burst out. Then his voice lowered and trembled as he continued. "I can't kill my own child, my own daughter.""So you would let other people die?" Diana whispered. "If Astrid takes over, I'll die. Why not make use of the opportunity and defeat her instead?""Diana, it isn't as easy as you want it to be." Alaric whispered back. There were tears glistening in his eyes, threatening to fall. "I can't kill my own daughter. This is a difficult decision you're as
Immediately the pentagram's connection was severed, Astrid lost control of her powers for a moment. This gave the large wolf an opportunity to tackle her to the ground. "No!" She screamed, struggling to free herself from the wolf above her. The other two wolves stepped out of the pentagram and hurried towards Alden and Asher. "Mother, Axel," Asher called out in a voice filled with relief. Catherine and Axel swiftly shifted into their human forms and loosened the vines holding him and Alden. "How did you know where to find us?" Alden asked, freeing his hands from the vines. "Astrid destroyed the moon. Didn't you feel the pain?""We felt it." Axel answered, grabbing Asher's arm and lifting him up. "I felt like I would die. Mother and Father were down too, until suddenly, the pain disappeared. I don't know how it happened, but I used that opportunity to lead them here.""It was Astrid." Asher replied. He held on to his side as his wound slowly began to heal. "Now that she has destroy
Alpha Alaric jerked awake when he felt the mansion tremble. Besides him, Catherine shot up from the bed, one hand gripping him in fright. "What was that?" She whispered. Again the mansion trembled and shook as if the earth was about to split in two. Without wasting another second, Alaric pushed off the bed and hurried towards the door. "Alaric wait." Catherine called, throwing on her robe and hurrying after him. As they ran through the hallway towards the stairs, the tremor increased until the mansion felt like it was being uprooted from the earth. The chandeliers flickered repeatedly and went off, plunging the mansion into darkness. The warriors hurried up the stairs just as Alaric and Catherine descended. "Alpha...""Henry, what is happening?" Alaric demanded, his voice loud and powerful. "We have no idea Alpha." Henry responded, his voice filled with fear and confusion. "The earth suddenly began to shake. It looks like an earthquake.""Get everyone out of the mansion." Alar
"NO!" Alden roared. "If you dare harm my mate, I will...""What? Kill me?" Astrid taunted him. Her cold smile widened. "Don't you get it Alden? I am not the one who will hurt her. It is you, and everyone else who will try to kill me. Being in the same body with Diana sure has its perks. I have her powers, and her body is under my control. But if you kill me, she'll die."Alden was at a loss of what to do. He couldn't destroy Astrid without losing his mate in the process. He thought everything would be back to normal after Astrid's death. How wrong he was. The battle wasn't over. Astrid looked up to the moon. It was past midnight. She needed to begin the spells. She gazed back at Alden and her smile disappeared, leaving her face cold and dark. "If I were you, I would run back to my parents and warn them of the impending doom. Because the moment I destroy the moon, this pack is going down first."As she turned to leave, Alden made up his mind. He shifted abruptly into his beast and l
"Don't move." Diana's voice reached him. "I have a dagger at your back, and you don't want me to hurt you.""Diana," Alden gasped in surprise. "What are you doing? It's me, Alden.""I know it is you." Diana replied. Keeping the dagger pointed at him, she walked around until she was standing in front of him. There was a slight smile on her lips when she faced him. "Did you really think I wouldn't know you were following me?"Alden tried to smile back, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something was definitely wrong. Diana's whole demeanor was off. It was like he was staring at another person. "Where were you going?" He asked. Diana lowered the dagger and stood staring at him. "I couldn't sleep. I needed a walk to clear my head.""You've been acting strangely for days now." Alden voiced out his concerns. Though he appeared relaxed but he was alert to his surroundings. "Since you got your powers back from Astrid...""Did you expect things to go back to the way it was so easily?"
