Bad Timing

As I threaded through the dark hallways of the house, I still struggled mentally to connect with my wolves again. To hear their annoying, nagging voices again.

But no matter how much I tried, they didn't respond to my calls. I could still feel them but it was almost as if there was a wall separating me from them.

“I have to get out of here before I transform to my… to my male form,” I muttered to myself as the sound of explosions from spells, howls from wolves, as well as the clanging of swords and the occasional gunshots, resounded from downstairs.

It was utter chaos down there and it was quite obvious that the people attacking the witches were also after me.

Just when I got to the hardwood stairs leading to the ground floor, I came to a halt when I met a hooded witch in a heated fight against a man who gave off the scent of a werewolf.
