Chapter Thirty-three Princess Alina's POV The guards came in at once into the room and spotted me standing in front of Elsa. She wasn't fazed by that either, she still looked into my eyes defiantly, like she was going to hit me if I did anything to trigger her. I found it very insulting and I couldn't take it. Besides, I wanted to know what she hit like; if she was as strong as she thought she was. I'd seen a lot of people who weren't as strong as they made themselves to be and I wondered if she was just like them. There was only one way to find out. I slapped her hard once again on her right cheek and then on her left, watching vigilantly to see how she'd respond. "You think you're tough, eh?" I yelled at her, waiting for her to do something. "Do something, Elsa! Hit me! I dare you," I urged her on with ceaseless taunts, seeing that she had refused to do anything, despite her countenance which suggested the opposite. She was mad. I could see it in her eyes but I wanted more. I
Chapter Thirty-Four Elsa's POV Immediately I opened my eyes, I quickly held onto my stomach which was quite sore from all the kicks that I had received from that stupid girl the previous day. I hated her so much and I just wished that I could make her pay for all that she did to me, but I couldn't. She was way out of my reach and perhaps, I should have simply done all that I could to always stay out of her way. Not when she messed with my friend though. I went to Mandy's room so that I could give her the beating she deserved for hurting my friend, little did I know that the Princess was there. Now, it was I who was being consoled by the friend that I went to defend. The irony of life. "I'm so sorry that you had to go through all of this for my sake, Elsa," Abigail said, rubbing her hand on my back as I clutched my stomach, still feeling a bit of pain. My wounds had all healed up and even the part of my shoulder that I felt got a bit dislocated was alright. It was just the pain tha
Chapter Thirty-five Prince Murray's POV We got to the front of Mandy's room and I waved at the waves to go on and do the other things required of them. "Thank you," I managed to say to them before turning my focus to the door in front of me. I knocked hard on it and heard the sound of footsteps approaching so I waited for whoever it was to come open the door. It was Mandy. As she opened the door, she smiled brightly at me. "Good day, Prince Murray. It's a pleasure to have you here." She wore a cream-coloured dress which revealed a whole lot. The slit was very high and the cleavage area looked non-existent. Her long, black hair made it even harder for me to resist staring but I snapped out of it quickly and immediately turned my attention back to her face so I could tell her why I was there. "Would you love to come in, my Prince?" She asked seductively with a giggle, opening up her door a bit more. She moved her body a bit from side to side so her breasts could jiggle and damn, i
Chapter Thirty-six Elsa's POV I lay on the floor, with Aby by my side as I hummed a song that my mother used to sing. She called it the song of hope and she always sang it despite the hardships and sufferings that she faced. That memory was one of the few things I remembered about her. I couldn't even remember what she looked like anymore, even though I could still pick out a thing or two. She was blonde like me and I used to think she was a tall woman, but it could have just been because I was very tiny and so everyone looked tall in my eyes. Each time she sang or hummed it, her face beamed with smiles and it seemed to give her some hope of something better. It didn't get better but she never lost hope. So as we lay down there, tired and famished, having not had anything to eat since we were taken in, I refused to lose hope. Somehow, I believed that help was going to come even if it wasn't from Prince Murray. Suddenly, I heard something that sounded like the door was being unlo
Chapter Thirty-Seven Elsa's POV I got to the training ground and walked to the exact spot where we trained the last time, hoping to see Prince Murray but he wasn't there. Instead, I met two warriors sparring in front of some recruits and teaching them how the fighting ought to be done. Instead of moving ahead to meet up with Prince Murray, I decided to watch them a little bit. "Perhaps, I could learn a thing or two from these guys," I said to myself, folding my arms to watch what was going on. The warriors did their thing, with each one of them taking turns striking and defending whilst dishing out instructions and counsel to the four recruits who sat and observed what was going on. Suddenly, I felt the warriors get more and more aggressive and I sensed that it wasn't part of the script anymore. They went from trying to teach the recruits to trying to show their supremacy over one another and what started as a sparring session became a full-blown contest. In a short time, they b
Chapter Thirty-eight Elsa's POV I watched on and made sure that Abigail had entered her room and locked the door and then I walked out of the building and began to make my way to the Pack borders where I felt the fight was going on. I didn't want to imagine that they had made their way into the Pack as that was going to be very bad for us. The warriors had to do all they could to make sure that never happened and I hoped that they did. I walked as fast as I could, although I took a few breaks to rest a bit so that I won't be too tired to fight when I'd get to the place of battle. I had no sword or any weapon at all in hand. I was going to fight a group of trained warriors without a weapon. It was folly at its peak, but I couldn't get myself to hide away while others in the Pack were putting their lives on the line for the Pack. My life wasn't even worth so much so I had no problem putting it there. I just had to find a way to get a weapon and what better way than to disarm a tra
Chapter Thirty-Nine Alpha Davon's POV "Thank you,' I said to Raymond as he walked me back to my room, helping me carry my sword and armour. He opened my door and I walked inside while he followed me behind. I walked straight to my bed and sat while he made his way to my wardrobe, placing what he carried on the floor, just in front of the wardrobe before turning to leave. "Are you certain that all the men were taken care of?" I asked him, just to make sure that no one survived the slaughter. "Yes, my Alpha. We chased them until they were all gone. However, there's always a chance that we might have missed one or two people who might have found a way to sneak out as we pursued, but of all that we were able to find, we left none alive." I was pleased but not as pleased as I'd have loved to be. If there was ever a chance that one or more of our enemies had escaped, there was always that possibility that they'll harbour thoughts of revenge toward us. In any case, we were going to b
Chapter Forty Elsa's POV It was only three days left before Alpha Davon would get married to Princess Alina. All the talk about the war had slowly died down as peace thrived once more in the Pack. It was highly expected after how the other two Packs were dispatched. They weren't even able to move past the Pack borders despite their numbers and that was something that would strike fear in the heart of anyone at all, even the Alphas of the other Packs. The possibility of him getting married after a few days would have made the fear grow even further. The strongest Pack in the realm was about to have a Luna Queen. It was an interesting time in the Pack. Invitations had been sent out to the different Packs. Abigail had to send invitations to two Packs even though it wasn't her job. Those Packs were said to be more welcoming to women and since she always loved to talk as boldly as she loved to, she was given the task by Prince Murray. She did it without any hassles, just as I expecte
Chapter Hundred and EightElsa's POVI ran to where they were and stabbed him in the back with my dagger, causing him to yell. "Get on with the fight, Dad," I urged him, seeing that he got distracted by my decision to fight Murray. "I can handle this.""What is this?" Murray asked, looking surprised. "Why won't you let me fulfil my destiny? You know that you can't beat me, right?""You think so?" I raised my right brow."I didn't think that you'd be here, Elsa. I felt you'd be inside with your child in your belly or your arms," he explained. "I have not stopped loving you and I'd hate to kill you. Step away or you'll leave me no choice but to take your life.""You can try," I chuckled, gripping my knife very strongly. "I taught you everything you know, Elsa. Without me, you'd have been nothing," he reminded me. "Now, I didn't teach you everything I know. Just the ones I felt you should. I'll teach you now. I'll make you learn by experience. Some things are better learned that way."H
Chapter Hundred and SevenElsa's POV"Where's my baby? Let me have my baby," I said to the Pack nurse as she stood over me. "You'll have her soon, my Queen," she calmly replied. "He's being cleaned up by the maids."I stared at the ceiling feeling so exhausted. The pain that I felt and the energy I had to muster during my baby's childbirth had begun to take a huge toll on me. "Did you just say, 'He?'" I asked, as it suddenly struck me that she was referring to my child as a boy."Yes, my Queen. It's a baby boy and he looks so handsome," she gushed."Oh. Here he is," she said as one of the maids walked to my bed with my child in her hands.I managed to sit up with my back pressed against the wall for support and the maid handed my baby over to me. He was beautiful; so beautiful that I felt a few tears drop from my eyes as I stared at him. He had blue eyes, just like his father and he took my hair. My boy was a blondie. I bent and kissed him on the forehead, very happy to have him.
Chapter Hundred And SixMurray's POV"Hold," I screamed at my men as we got very close to the borders of the Stronghold Pack. I had sent three of our men to head over to the borders to find out what was going on and they were yet to return. So, I felt the need to hold on until they did, instead of rushing in blindly. I paused to look at the army that I had with me. I had managed to convince two other Rogue Kings to join us with their warriors in our quest to take Davon out. It wasn't that easy as they didn't trust me at first. Just like Alpha Grim, they thought that I had come to lead them to their demise and if Alpha Grim didn't intervene, they'd never have joined us. They weren't that large but with more than 15 carriages full of our combined warriors, I had no doubts that we were going to overwhelm them with ease. I also believed that the Rogues and I were the perfect match. I had trained the Rogues in my Pack for several months and I knew they were ready. But more than that, t
Chapter Hundred and FiveAlpha Davon's POV"The men from the Runway Pack have arrived, Alpha," one of the guards said to me as he rushed into the throne room. "Is Alpha Duncan with them?" I asked the guard but he just gawked at me, looking very clueless. "I'm sorry, I didn't look, " he confessed. "I just ran here as soon as I saw their carriage approaching the borders.""Thank you."I stood, headed out of the throne room and began to make my way to the borders. I wanted to welcome Alpha Duncan myself. I felt it would mean a lot to him if I did that, and encourage his people to give their all in the fight.I was a few metres away from the Pack Square when I saw them approaching. They were massive; even more than I had expected them to be. I tried to count but stopped when I was at ten carriages, only because they had gotten to where I stood and came to a halt. So I had to give my attention to the Alpha King who was making his way out of his carriage to meet up with me. "Greetings,
Chapter Hundred And FourAlpha Davon's POVEight Months Later"Alpha, we've got a letter," a guard walked into the throne room with a piece of paper in his hand. Two other guards walked in with him and just stood beside the door as he approached me with the paper. "From whom?" I asked, stretching my hand to take the paper from him. "My apologies, my Alpha. Good morning, Sir," he greeted. The urgency of what he had seemed to have caused him to forget that he was to greet me once he saw me. The other guards with him also did the same. They all bowed and greeted as they ought.I just nodded curtly and went back to my question. "Where did you get this from?" I asked again. "It was delivered to us by a Rogue. He came to us with a white flag and when we asked him to approach us, he came to us and handed the paper over to us. He said it came from your brother…""It came from Murray?" I asked in shock."Yes, Sir. It did."As I stared at the paper, I wondered what he wanted this time. We ha
Chapter Hundred and ThreeElsa's POV"My Queen, you're awake," Abigail remarked as my eyes opened slowly. I turned to my left and saw her holding onto my left hand with tears in her eyes and I wondered what happened to me. There were others in the room; the Pack nurse and two of her trainees. One of the guards was there too. They all had their gazes fixed on me when I woke up and it felt so overwhelming. Slowly, I began to recall what had happened. I remembered how I was talking to Abigail close to the garden before I felt weak and my eyes got hazy. It became clear to me exactly what had happened to me…I had fallen to the ground, unconscious. That must have been why I found myself in my room with no knowledge of how I got there. What I couldn't tell was what caused me to lose consciousness in the first place. "What happened?" I asked, trying in vain to sit up. "You must relax, my Queen," Abigail said, seeing that I struggled to get up. "You don't need to exert yourself at the mo
Chapter Hundred And TwoElsa's POVThree Months Later"It's morning again," I sighed as I slowly opened my eyes. I yawned and then sat up on the bed to stretch. The previous night was a very busy one as I had to put a few foodstuffs together so that I could send them across to my mother. It was exhausting, yet it was worth it.I looked to my side and Davon was still fast asleep, even though he went to bed much earlier than I did. I thought he was beginning to get too lazy."Get up, sleepy head," I teased him, shaking him a few times to awaken him from his slumber. "It's morning already. Didn't you say that you had a meeting to attend?"He grudgingly turned as he stretched, yawning so loudly that I wondered how he became that tired. He finally got himself to sit up and he just stared at me like he was going to hit me. It was so funny. "You should have just let me sleep a little more, honey. The meeting is not until another hour," he protested. "You just didn't want to watch me enjoy
Chapter Hundred and OneElsa's POV"We got in as soon as we heard what happened, dad," I said, walking into the throne room alongside my husband. A few elders were already seated there when we walked into the place. My mother was there too. She sat on a sofa just opposite the elders and I didn't expect to see her there. I felt she'd be right next to my father instead. The previous night, news was sent to us that Melissa and Alina had broken out of their cells. We were told that they managed to get out despite the presence of several guards who were stationed in front of their cells in the dungeon and I couldn't help but feel surprised. I had thought something like that couldn't happen, especially because it had never happened before. Somehow, Melissa and her daughter were able to do the impossible. Davon suggested that we wait till the next morning before making our way to yeh Pack but I swiftly objected to that. I wanted to get to the root of the matter, especially since I was th
Chapter HundredAlina's POVAs we got off the carriage after arriving at the Rogue Pack, I looked around at my new surroundings and it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. For sure, it was nothing compared to the Runway Pack. The brown leaves on the floor left a lot to be desired. The flowers grew wildly, no one bothered to trim them, but as I walked past them with my mom by my side, those were the least of my problems. I wondered how Murray was going to take the loss of his dear Mandy. I had lied to the other guards that she was killed by one of the guards in the Runway Pack. The good thing was that I didn't pull out the knife that I used to kill her and it belonged to Ronnie. Nothing about her death pointed to me, except that I was supposedly with her when it happened. Well, I shut off those thoughts as we continued to make our way to the throne room. I wanted to know what it looked like. "It must be the size of a mushroom," I laughed in my mind. Yet, I knew not to write it off, s
