Chapter Forty Elsa's POV It was only three days left before Alpha Davon would get married to Princess Alina. All the talk about the war had slowly died down as peace thrived once more in the Pack. It was highly expected after how the other two Packs were dispatched. They weren't even able to move past the Pack borders despite their numbers and that was something that would strike fear in the heart of anyone at all, even the Alphas of the other Packs. The possibility of him getting married after a few days would have made the fear grow even further. The strongest Pack in the realm was about to have a Luna Queen. It was an interesting time in the Pack. Invitations had been sent out to the different Packs. Abigail had to send invitations to two Packs even though it wasn't her job. Those Packs were said to be more welcoming to women and since she always loved to talk as boldly as she loved to, she was given the task by Prince Murray. She did it without any hassles, just as I expecte
Chapter Forty-One Alpha Davon's POV It had been over two hours since I asked for Elsa to come find me in my chambers but she was nowhere to be found. I usually wasn't used to being kept waiting by anyone, much less my subjects and I didn't appreciate it from her either. "Raymond!" I screamed, using my mind link as I knew he was nowhere close to my chambers. It was one of those moments when I loved using the mind link even if I wasn't so fond of it. "Go get me Elsa immediately. Make sure she comes with you." I had tried to discard the thought about calling out to Elsa several times but I just couldn't stop myself anymore. Troy, too, wasn't being so helpful. He kept making noise about how I was supposed to give Elsa a chance instead of just discarding her. "I think she's right about being your mate," he even dared to say. "I mean, I can feel her when she's close. I can feel her wd too, trying to reach out to me. Although it's less frequent these days I think it's just because they'
Chapter Forty-Two Prince Murray's POV Mandy smirked whilst staring at me. She said nothing at first, instead, running her eyes all around me before winking at me. Then, she began to run her hands on my chest. "You know, sometimes, things are better experienced than spoken about and we do have some unfinished business, don't we?" I didn't need a soothsayer to tell me what was going on. I knew exactly what she was talking about and I was quite ready for it; more than ready even. She leaned in and kissed me briefly, drawing backwards a bit to check my reaction to that. I licked my lips. Those lips of hers were too sweet. I pulled her close once again and kissed her once more, this time very deeply as I breathed into her mouth without caring, savouring every moment. She pushed me to the bed once again and kept on kissing me and then she began to take off her clothes in a hurry. I tried to help her but she hit my hands off, not needing any of that. She was back to her very aggress
Chapter Forty-Three Alpha Davon's POV I couldn't believe my eyes as I opened the door to Murray's room. I could have just knocked but I had this habit of walking into his room just like that. It was always fun. I just never expected to see something like that. "What's going on here?" I asked as I saw Princess Alina's maid, Mandy, on his bed with both of them sweating profusely. They just finished having sex. It was so glaring and there was no denying it. I couldn't understand why he'd bed the maid, especially since she wasn't from our Pack and was only here because of the Princess. "Greetings, Al–Alpha Davon," she stuttered, surprised to see me, which was normal. "Get out!" I yelled at her, as she quickly jumped out of bed and began to walk away from the room in a hurry. I didn't even care how my brother would feel about me sending his guest away from his room but I didn't care. We had other important things to talk about and I wasn't particularly happy with what I saw. P
Chapter Forty-Four Prince Murray's POV The day of the wedding drew even closer and there was still no sign of Stam, my best friend, whom I had been expecting for quite a while. He was supposed to go handle a few things and the time that I needed those things was fast approaching, yet he was nowhere to be found. As I made my way back to the room from the kitchen, after checking in on the maids and cooks, I recalled what happened the previous day and it sent chills down my spine. I knew that my brother liked Elsa. I knew just how much he liked her, even more than he liked the woman he was about to get married to. It was the reason why I went to Elsa in the first place. "What if he reveals what he saw in my room to her?" I asked myself on getting to my door. "It'll surely ruin everything." I walked into my room and shut the door. Then I walked inside, stopping just in front of the window so that I could look outside as I thought about what to do next. I wondered if it was going
Chapter Forty-Five Elsa's POV "Has Prince Murray said anything to you yet?" Aby asked, with a cheeky smile on her face. "I don't know what you're talking about. Anything about what exactly?" "Don't be silly, Elsa. You know what I'm talking about. Has he asked you to be with him or anything like that? Even though he's a Prince, it's also possible that he's just shy. He might not have the confidence to say something like that to a very beautiful damsel like you but for sure, he should have made a move somehow. Maybe by the way he'll act towards you and just through any other hint that he could give. Have you not noticed any of that?" I just shook my head and continued cutting the onion which was in front of me. Aby was always relentless. She seemed more interested in Prince Murray's likeness of me than even me. She tugged on my dress a few times, trying to get my attention but I was having none of it. I wasn't even comfortable talking about Prince Murray in the presence of the oth
Chapter Forty-Six Alpha Davon's POV "What's going on here?" I asked, holding onto Princess Alina's hand as she tried to hit Elsa. Earlier on, I lay on my bed, about to have a little nap when I felt something burning in my chest. The more I tried to fight it off, the stronger it was and the pain was a lot. I wondered what it could have been because I had never experienced something like that. It was a whole new feeling and I was alright not so long ago. I decided to find out what the issue was and so I got up from the bed, put on my footwear and away I went out of the room and into the hallway, not knowing where exactly to go. I just knew something was wrong. I remembered what my dad always said to me when he was still alive. "Trust your instincts. Follow your guts. Let your heart guide you," he'd always say to me and it was a principle that he always followed. I decided to try it out so I just walked in the direction that I felt that I needed to, hoping to find some form of a c
Chapter Forty-Seven Princess Alina's POV I couldn't believe what I just heard from Alpha Lucius so I drew close to him, just to make sure that I heard correctly. Everywhere was silent. All the cooks in the kitchen and the maids that cleaned up the place went mute, all staring at us with their mouths agape. They were as surprised as I was and I was certain that Elsa and her useless talkative friend were having the time of their lives. "You don't mean it, do you?" I asked, hoping it was just a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing. You know, something like an angry outburst of sorts, but his silence proved otherwise. "You can't possibly be saying we can't go ahead with our wedding because– because of this girl. Come on, Davon. What has come over you?" He shook his head and brushed past me with his shoulders, making his way down to his room as I followed him immediately. "Please, don't follow me. I'm not changing my mind about this," he said to me as he continued walking but that w
