AHH… Harder, Alpha…”

Beads of bullet sweat had formed on Lucian’s forehead as he pounced faster and harder. His manhood was inside the Omega slave, whom he called for carnal pleasure. The she-wolf’s loud and sultry moan enveloped his entire expensive office.

He took her into a standing position. The slave was undeniably beautiful, with an hourglass body, and had been giving him alluring signals ever since his father hired her a month ago to clean his office, and now he couldn’t resist the need for a release because it had been a while since the last time he had gotten laid.

Lucian groaned. The Omega slave appeared to have experience when it came to sex, yet she was so tight. In the hopes of a satisfying pleasure, he spread her legs wider and thrust hard, while simultaneously moving his hand to choke her in the neck.

But he just felt nothing more than his needs. He may have been physically connected to the Omega slave, and his physical needs were met, yet he could not feel any emotional attachment.

Hngmm… I’m c-cumming…” The Omega slave ground her hips to welcome each attack he made, and in one big thrust, he finally came and filled her in.

That was fine, he thought while panting.

He wasn’t that satisfied, but at least he got a release.

He was still panting when someone knocked on the door.

Lucian no longer had to wonder who it was. The familiar scent of the man from the outside was enough for him to know it was his Beta, who also mind linked him his unwanted visit.

Lucian grunted, as he already knew why Tyler had visited him again. He was sent to persuade him to marry the famous daughter of the Alpha of the Silver Crest Pack, Scarlett. She was his ex-fling, and they had a great time during his teenage years, but then any man would be fed up with a spoiled princess like Scarlett, and he, himself, wasn’t an exemption, so they had a clean break. That’s all there is.

However, his parents could not seem to understand that. The former Lycan King and Luna wanted him to consider an arranged marriage with Scarlett to strengthen his power as the current Lycan King of the Lycan Blood Pack, which he found lame.

His pack was already powerful without a Luna.

“Leave,” he commanded the Omega slave. Lucian then removed the used condom and threw it in the trash.

“Y-Yes, Alpha…”

The Omega slave rushed to leave and opened the door. Tyler cleared his throat upon seeing the aftermath of what had just happened inside the office. The huge vases that were displayed near the window had been broken because of their wildness.

Tyler closed the door. “You know why I’m here.”

“Aren’t they getting tired?” It was a growl from him. “I’ve told them that my decision won’t change.” He then zipped up his pants.

“I’ve told you so many times that they won’t back down from this arranged marriage plan,” Tyler talked back and sat on the couch. His voice sounded like he was tired of acting as a messenger for the Lycan King and his parents, yet he couldn’t do anything other than obey their commands. “Your father is seriously threatening me that I’d be replaced as a Beta if I couldn’t persuade you. They said the elders are already reluctant about you leading the pack without a Luna for a long time.”

Lucian grunted at his last statement. Whenever the word “Luna” was mentioned, there was only one powerful female lycan who crossed his mind. Elena, his mate, died four years ago due to a fatal disease. He could still recall the day he sobbed uncontrollably while he held his wife’s dead body. That day was the same day he forgot the feeling of being mated.

Since then, Lucian didn’t know what it felt like to be happy. He focused his attention on strengthening his pack and was successful in doing so. He led the strongest pack in North America, and he was the most feared Alpha.

Lucian Montreal, the Alpha of the Lycan Blood Pack.

Well, his family were the direct descendants of the primordial lycans. They were naturally unique and extremely powerful. Every pack on the continent feared them. Primordial lycans were the most powerful bloodline of lycanthropes in all of existence.

Normal werewolves would never match their powers and enhanced abilities, which he found advantageous because no one tried to compete with them or started a war against them.

He walked to his desk and sat down on his swiveling chair with a grim expression. Staring at Tyler, who seemed to be not leaving his office without a concrete and positive answer from him, he felt a bit irritated.

“I have already made myself clear. I don’t need a Luna to help me in the pack,” Lucian stated firmly. “She-wolves nowadays are nothing more than a headache. I don’t need a wife who will only use me to her own advantage. I’m fine being alone.”

“I don’t question your opinion about women, Lucian.” Tyler pinched the bridge of his nose before he sighed. “But your parents think otherwise. You know that the elders’ idea of fun is to meddle in pack affairs, so if you want to live peacefully, you might as well consider your parents’ request. You had a relationship with that woman before, right? You already know her. In my opinion, you can give it a try and wait until the elders rest peacefully. Until then, you can end your marriage with Scarlett.”

His eyes squinted at Tyler’s remarks. He didn’t like the way he spoke, as if that damn whole thing was too easy.

“I don’t need to end anything because I do not agree to any of their bullshit.”

“Come on, Lucian,” Tyler persuaded him in frustration.

Lucian furrowed his brows. “Where’s my father?”

“In his office. He just had a meeting with our Elders a while ago.”

He then stood up and clicked his neck. “Alright, let me handle it.”

“Wait, what are you up to?” Tyler followed him into the doorway.

“I need to talk to my old man to tie up the loose ends of this matter. He should stop manipulating my life, for I am no longer a child,” Lucian said with finality before he left his office with a clenched jaw.

‘If it’s not Elena, then we’re better off alone…’ The beast in him, whose name was Argus, grunted in his mind.

He had the same sentiment. Other than his late wife, Elena Whitlock, no woman would be worthy of becoming his Luna… No one could ever replace her in his heart.

“THERE you are, setting down beautifully,” Emily whispered. Her lips curled into a smile as she watched the sunset through the window. Sunsets have become her comfort ever since she was a child. It was her constant reminder that every struggle would end, every wound would heal, and every hot tear would fade. She could feel how tired her body and soul were from her constant battle, yet as she watched the sun set solemnly before her eyes, it gave her hope, peace, and a little happiness. But she knew it was only temporary, as sunset also meant new suffering. Emily Lawrence lived differently than others; she was treated with extreme prejudice because the pack, particularly her brother, who was the current Alpha, saw her as a disgrace. He said she was cursed, and that she was born differently. While the rest of the pack had naturally dark skin and jet black hair, her skin was as white as snow, and her hair was naturally dyed a ginger color that became even brighter whenever she exposed

EMILY’S heart rate picked up after hearing the loud cries of agony and the warriors screaming to fight and protect the land. Jacob got off her and immediately shifted into his usual black wolf form. With just one swift swing of his arm, the door opened, and he went out of the house. Her body shivered as she tried to sit down, still unable to believe what had just happened. If not for the attack happening outside, Jacob would have raped her. Her legs were still wobbly when she stood, but she forced herself to move because she needed to escape. With the truth he had just revealed and how he attempted to rape her, there was no way Emily would still want to live in that house. She then ran to the basement as quickly as she could and put on a long, rugged dress that was enough to warm her naked body. Crying, Emily went out of the house and saw the horrible situation in the town. The loud screams of her packmates pleading for help could be heard anywhere. Her breathing was becoming heavy

EMILY could feel a rush of dread wash over her, tightening her muscles even more. Eyes widening, her gaze focused on the lycan standing before her. He was the most feared Alpha because he was the direct descendant of the Primordial Lycans, who were one of the strongest lycans ever. They possessed indescribable powers and abilities that normal werewolves don’t have. Primordial lycans were the only ones who could outsmart the powers of vampires and even witches, and the rumor that they ate werewolves’ flesh was well known to every pack. That was why no pack had ever tried to deal with them. Their Alpha was practically a beast. Now, here she is—the one who accidentally set foot on their land. It seemed to her that the Moon Goddess’ idea of fun was completely different, as Emily felt that she found pleasure whenever she put her in nerve-racking circumstances. Perhaps she didn’t like her because she had no wolf, which is why, after Jacob’s attempt to rape her, the Moon Goddess used he

EMILY recalled how she dreamed of being mated after turning eighteen years old. While other girls her age in her pack had finally found their mates when the mating season happened, hers remained unknown. She recalled how Jacob mocked her numerous times, telling her that she was cursed by the Moon Goddess, which was why she had no wolf; worse, she had no mate who would love her.She wondered how it felt to have a mate—to be kissed and loved for who she was—but now that someone was claiming to be her mate, she couldn’t muster the courage to believe and accept it. Even her gut twisted painfully at that thought. She just couldn’t be mated with a beast.Looking at the Lycan in front of her, whose wayfaring blue eyes were staring down at her, made her feel repulsed. He’d be attractive only if she didn’t find him beastly. He was a typical monster any werewolf would never want to cross paths with, and out of all the shifters who could catch her, it was so unlucky of her to be caught by the pr

“YOU’RE going to die here. We all are….”Emily turned her head toward the prisoner inside the cell next to her. The man was already skin and bones due to starvation and appeared to be just waiting for his death. His words echoed through her head a thousand times, making her quiver as she sat on the cold metallic floor, taunting her soul. Hot tears fell down her cheeks, and yet she was quick to wipe them all away.“It feels so wrong for my life to end this way,” she whispered, gritting her teeth until her jaw ached. She envisioned death as way more terrifying than what she had experienced with Jacob, so she could never allow it to happen. Even if it was the fate that the Moon Goddess prepared for her, Emily wanted to dodge it with all her might.Mustering all her courage, she stood up and went to the locked gate, trying to pull the lock off, but to no avail. She screamed in frustration, her chest going up and down.“Dirt like us will never have a chance to escape this hell, young lady.

“YOU'RE mine, Emily… mine alone,” Jacob whispered to her ear before he thrust into her. Emily cried beneath him. In her mind, a lot of thoughts were whirling, making her want to turn away from the Moon Goddess for making her life miserable; for not helping her even once, and for probably laughing while looking over at her from the Moon. Naked and afraid, she screamed as her good-for-nothing brother raped her without any remorse. She blinked awake, sucking in a long, deep breath, and swallowing the lump in her throat. A nightmare, she thought, but it made her feel a sting of pain inside her chest. Emily was not wrong when she first thought that Jacob’s attempt to rape her would haunt her forever. It just started, and it crept her to the bones as the vivid memory of his disgusting act repeatedly played in her mind as if it were a goddamn traumatizing movie. Even though unwanted tears sting her eyes, she sits upright and notices that she isn’t inside the cell anymore. Her gaze feaste

Five hours later, Emily was already carrying Nia in her arms. They finally arrived in the Lycan Blood Pack territory and her daughter shivered at the sight of the land before them. “Mommy, I don’t like this place,” Nia said, trembling. “Where’s Daddy? Is he here?”Emily kissed Nia’s cheek trying to console her. “Daddy’s here. She needs you, Nia.” She took one of her tiny hands and kissed its knuckles. “Remember that day you showed me how you are able to bring the dead bird back to life?” Nia nodded her head, focusing on what Emily, her mother, had to say. Emily swallowed hard and carefully glanced at Nia. “Can you do the same thing to your Daddy…? B-Bring him back to life?” Her little girl’s eyes began to water. Nia was smart enough to realize what Emily meant by that. Her lips curved downward, and her chin trembled. “Daddy is dead, Mommy?” Nia’s voice cracked. Unable to control her emotions, Emily cried and nodded her head. “Y-Yes… Daddy is dead.”“No, Mommy,” Nia broke into te

Emily wailed in despair, her body trembling. She felt as if Lucian's death had become her death also… she sobbed as she hugged Lucian's dead body, kissing his forehead. "No… no, please, Lucian…" she cried. "Please don't do this to me. W-We need you… We haven't done so much together…" In the middle of her grievance, Alpha Cain ran inside the basement and came to a halt as soon as he saw her crying her heart out due to Lucian's passing. "Emily…" his voice sounded shocked. Sobbing, Emily turned her head to Alpha Cain, her heart consumed by fury. "Y-You…" "We need to get out of here," Alpha Cain said as he tried to compose himself. "Lucian's dead. We have to get out of here, otherwise, the other Alphas will kill you!" Emily growled angrily. She put Lucian down and immediately attacked Alpha Cain, using her Alpha power to push him with all force, which made him fly into the wall. The wall began to crack until it broke down. She didn't stop right there as she shifted to her wolf form

No longer caring about hurting and killing werewolf warriors from the enemy's side, Emily advanced mercilessly. Having Atlas and Laura backing her up was helpful, as the two fought other Alphas who tried to block her way. It didn't take long hours before she finally could see the towering mansion of the Silver Crest, which she guessed was where Scarlett was hiding. Emily sniffed in the air, smelling the familiar disgusting scent of her nemesis, Scarlett. The smell itself made all her emotions surge inside her. Her eyes were bloodshot as she looked up at the mansion. A growl escaped her throat before she made her way to the mansion's entrance. Without hesitation, she pushed the double doors open and scanned the first floor. It was dark, cold, and empty. "I believe you were looking for me," said the familiar voice that ignited her fury. "Long time no see." Emily looked up and found Scarlett staring down at her from the second floor, leaning against the railings while eating an apple.

Emily was stunned by the sight of the colossal convoy of trucks that stood in formation outside the arena. Atlas Kane motioned for her to inspect the trucks, and she complied without hesitation. She’d never seen so many weapons in her entire life. There were guns and rifles brimming with lethal silver bullets, and there were barrels containing syringes that had ominous wolfsbane liquid. She then turned her gaze towards the formidable gathering of hundreds of warriors behind the array of trucks, standing steadfastly and waiting for instructions from their Alpha. She spun to face Atlas Kane in awe. Emily never knew her new boss from the human town would be this helpful in times of a great war. “Well, I hope I brought enough.” Atlas Kane shrugged, sounding very arrogant as usual, only by now, Emily didn’t feel irritated with how he talked. She was, in fact, thankful as the weapons and warriors would absolutely help them in the counterattack. She looked at Tyler and Laura, whose eyes

Emily looked up at the night sky and took a sigh. She was sitting on the stairs of the arena's double doors for almost an hour, guarding the entire place from possible attacks from their enemies. Her mind was filled with worry. The pack was in horrible shape; the smoke and fires not far away from her indicated that the situation could be worsened more, and she had no idea to what extent this war would go further. She stared up blankly at the silver moon in the sky, hoping it would give her much strength to carry on with helping the remaining pack members and save Lucian. Wherever Nia's father was at the moment, may the Moon Goddess help him survive no matter what; he needed to stay alive for them. 'Scarlett is the root cause of all this mess. She has to pay for everything that she ruined, Em,' said Cassia through the mind link, seething with anger as the wolf snarled with its eyes glowing. 'If something happens to Nia's father, I swear I won't let it slide.'"We won't let it slide,"

Emily was enraged. Her eyes were bloodshot, and all she thought about was killing the alpha who she was seated on when Laura screamed to stop her. "Emily, no! We still need him to track Lucian!" said Laura. Her chest went up and down, her hand stopped in the air, and deep within, she wanted to go on. But hearing Laura's words, her mind was again filled with chaos. Before Alpha Ray could land a punch on her, she hit him on the neck as hard as she could, targeting his nerves to immobilize him. Three Lycan warriors came to her when she stood up. "Luna!" They all bowed their heads as a form of respect. "Take him. Please do everything you can so he won't escape. We still need him," she ordered. The Lycan warriors were quick to follow Emily's command. Her gaze followed them as they left, and then she glanced in Laura's direction. Her face immediately softened as she looked at her sister-in-law, and in one swift move, she ran towards her and embraced her. "Emily, you're back," Lau

Panic increased in Emily's chest, her mind utterly haywire. Her heart pounded so loud that she couldn’t breathe. After learning the bad news from Alpha Atlas Kane, she sprinted out of his office, not minding these human employees who might have seen her use her heightened speed. It only took a minute for her to be able to go home, and she instantly went to Lia, who was in the living room together with the kids, Elle and Nia. "Mommy, did you teleport?" Nia asked out of curiosity and rubbed her eyes before looking at Emily again. "Mommy, you teleported!" "No, Nia. Your Mom sprinted as fast as the wind," Elle corrected. "How did she do that?" "Emily, what happened?" Lia rose from her seat and went to Emily. Her whole body shook as if she was still trying to process the news she heard from Alpha Atlas. She looked at Lia with utmost fear and worry, and all she did was hold Lia's arm when she felt her knees weakened due to her welled-up emotions. She gasped for air as the negativ

"I suggest you relax, Em," Lia suggested with a smile. They were in the living room, watching the television, but Emily could not pay attention. She kept looking at her phone, waiting for Lucian's text message or call. It had been a week since he left for some pack affairs, and Emily hadn't heard from him since then. He sent him a few text messages, but those even went on read at all. "It's just weird for him to not check his phone for that long," Emily reasoned. "Do you think there's a problem in the pack right now? I can't help but worry.""It's impossible. Your husband's pack is the strongest, and he and Tyler can surely handle problems in the pack," Lia assured her, passing the popcorn on her. Emily smiled a bit, but the worry remained in her chest, or maybe she just really missed him. She didn't know. The feelings she had for Lucian went deeper and stronger, and her mind seemed only to know nothing but scream Lucian's name. It was cringed, but that's how she described it. "Le
