"Alpha Kain is ready to meet you now," an old man with chilling, ice-cold eyes whispered, sending shivers down my spine. I nodded curtly, my curiosity piqued, and followed him down a dimly lit corridor, only to be halted abruptly by the same old man.

"Only you," he hissed with a harshness that cut through the air, casting a disdainful glance at my comrades. His disrespect for an alpha like me was palpable, but I concealed my indifference, feigning annoyance and offense.
