Benson’s POV

I had heard talk that Dad had become unapproachable. Snapping at anyone who enters his study. The rumor is that the stress was getting to him.

I felt useless myself, throwing myself into my training. Punching things helped relieve some of the anger I had bottled up. The day I broke a finger, my dad called me into his study. I was taping up my finger when I walked inside. The place stank. Not even bothering to knock, “Anything?” I barked as soon as I entered his office. It would be the first time I saw him in a week. He looked terrible. He had bags under his eyes and appeared to be growing a beard. His clothes were baggy, and his hair was a mess.
