Chapter 54: Clarissa

Diana showed me to my room. It was an average room with a bed, couch, and other things needed in a room.

She took my bag from me and placed it on the couch.

" I've asked the cooks to prepare a meal for you. It should be here soon" she said and I gave her an appreciative smile. Even if it was forced, it came from the bottom of my heart.

" Thank you" I mouthed and she just smile at me.

" I will be retiring to my room now. Take enough rest and sleep. I'll see you tomorrow morning" she said and walked toward the door.

" Good night Clarissa," she said and closed the door behind her.

I took a deep breath and sat on the bed. It was dressed with a rose flower red bedsheets and a fur blanket.

A knock brought my attention to the door and a maid or rather a cook walked in, wearing an apron with a tray of food in her hand.

" I prepared chicken soup and salad for you," she said and placed the tray on a table.

" Thank you" I mumbled and looked away.
