JACK POV

Olivia was all I had, my affection. And I would do anything for her. I adored her with my whole heart. When I gave her my word to be her mate, I was sincere. She was the best match for me. She was pretty and hot, and possessed the strength expected of a Luna. I admired her attributes as well. I couldn't allow her to leave me. I had harbored feelings for her for some time, and when I got the chance to court her, I grabbed it without hesitation and never thought about it.

Olivia And i have been married for five years. My love for her was so genuine and strong, that I thought it would be easy to reject my fated mate, if eventually we crossed paths. She had made the same promise. I never thought that I would timidly shatter that vow.

Olivia didn't have any desire to attend Bruce's dinner gathering. Damn, I shouldn't have forced her to go with me, I should have listened to her.

Her aroma caught me by surprise and pulled me toward her like a magnet, a mixture of mint and apples, both sweet and delightful.

I was captivated by Monica, and she reciprocated the feeling. I moved toward her, her lips was all I could see.

My love and adoration for Olivia vanished in an instant. I struggled to hold on to it, but the influence of Monica overpowered me.

"Mate," she connected with me, and I reciprocated.

Her name was Monica, she was my downfall.

I needed to make contact with her and feel her. So she suggested we converse on the balcony. I nodded saying yes repeatedly.

The instant I reached the balcony, I felt trapped. I tried to reject her, but I couldn't utter the word; my wolf, Browny, couldn't either.

We craved her, in every aspect, and wanted to possess her completely.

"Good evening, Alpha Jack," she greeted, and I gulped.

She had done her research. I was shocked by her, and of keeping a straight face I chuckled and she came into my arms slowly.

"Mate," I said with ease without realizing what I just did, everything else became blur.

Monica shared details about herself. She was a medical nurse, she wasn't just beautiful and sexy but also intelligent amd smart . She had the potential to be a Luna, but she could never be my Luna, because Olivia and I were already One.

"I must reject you, Monica," I said, witnessing her eyes full with tears.

"Alpha Jack, please," she begged, and laid her head on my chest

Then we began to kiss, and I lifted her, prepared to proceed further, but I grappled with my wolf and my intimacy urge, and I gently drooped her.

I was aware that my actions would inflict pain on Olivia, and that was the very thing I wanted to avoid. I had no intention of causing harm to my wife.

"Please, Alpha, I can become your mistress. Don't refuse me or reject me. Please, you require me; I want you," she wept, and truly, she had committed no offense towards me.

I should have exercised patience, but how could I have predicted that I would cross paths with my Fated? It wasn't common

It was a miracle indeed, and a harsh one.

How would I manage this? Making her my mistress wasn't a big deal, but I'd need to tell Olivia first. If I didn't reject her, I must accept her, but would Olivia accept her too?

I know that what I considered was heartless, but fate was unkind to all of us regardless.

Cruel to Monica by binding her to a married man, cruel to Olivia by linking her to me before I discovered my fated mate, and lastly cruel to me by placing me in a situation where. I might have to shatter all my vows and be the savage in what's meant to be my Love tale.

I took my leave from the balcony without uttering a single word.

I returned to my seat and discovered that Olivia wasn't there. Upon reaching home and Olivia wasn't there either, I Knew that she had figured it out.

If she harbored any doubts before now, my private encounter with Monica would have confirmed her doubts.

I wasn't happy with myself. I blamed destiny for the way it manipulated my life. I was not sure of whom I could confide in. If I confided in my father, he would likely advise me to choose Monica as my Luna to Increase my strength and produce robust offspring with her alpha genes. Yet, if I reject her, I would forfeit some of my authority, making me unsuitable for leadership.

I thought of the pain Olivia would feel each time I get close to Monica, made things more complicated.

I didn't understand why this happened now,. Why this situation, and why me? As the most reliable and Strongest Alpha in my territory, I couldn't allow an opportunity to make me stronger slip away, but I still loved my wife deeply, so I didn't wanna hurt her feelings.

I required some days to think on this complicated matter.

Seated on the sofa in my dimly lit living space, I thought where Olivia might have gone.

Still thinking about Olivia, she entered the house, naked and shattered.

I wanted to meet her, but she seemed angry so I gave her distance.

"How could you, Jack? You vowed. I remember you said if it happens, you'd reject your Fated mate. You told me that I am enough for you. that's your promise to me," she growled.

I maintained my silence. As I didn't have any lie to defend myself .

I had made a big mistake, and I couldn't ensure there wouldn't be another. I had vowed to decline my Fated partner, I had only made that promise because I believed the odds were against me finding her.

I couldn't help but wonder what fate had in store.

Later, when I came back to the room, I noticed that Olivia was wide awake. How could she sleep at a time like this?

I was surprised to find her asleep. Because she was in pain and afraid of losing me. Letting her go would be difficult. I had promised her to love and protect her so breaking those promises would make me a heartless person.

I can't reject her, it would reduce my wolf's strength; no pack would accept her, and given my alpha status, she wouldn't have a place in the pack either. I would never take actions that would render Olivia without a home or force her into a rogue life.

If the pack discovered Monica's presence, they would urge me to set Olivia aside and Make Monica as Luna, as mating with Monica would enhance my power and benefit the pack. I was in a serious mess.

I could only hope the pack members wouldn't discover the situation and compel me to act. Despite my deep Love for Olivia, my responsibility to the pack was still my top priority.

I climbed into bed and tried to bring the topic up, but she wasn't in the mood for a calm conversation, so I kept quiet to avoid causing her further distress.

The following morning, I was greeted by Bruce's voice in my thoughts.

"Alpha, how true is it that Monica is allegedly your fated?" Bruce asked, and I thought how he where he heard this information. I had some doubts that Olivia had disclosed it to him, as she was aware that if news of this got out, the pack would likely be on Monica favor due to the advantages my union with her could provide.

"Who informed you? Please, this should remain confidential between us," I told him, but he remained quiet.

"You tore her gown on the balcony. It became the topic of conversation at the party after you departed; they're all talking about it," he said the very things I had feared, and tears welled up in my eyes at that moment, for I knew what's next.

I phoned Alpha James, a friend of mine who had faced a similar situation. "The best decision you would make my friend is to claim Monica so Olivia won't be hurt" Alpha James said.

I thanked him for the advice, but I had no intention of following his guidance. My plan was to disregard the bond and continue my

life with Olivia until I could summon the courage to reject Olivia.
