Isabella's POVI've been in the city for a very long time ever since my parents were alive. though it was my sister, she was far more older than I am and since I don't know my father, I lived with my sister and we lived with a few other pack down the street. Though we were few in numbers and our territory was not that large. Unlike other packs, they were always used to fighting each other to gain power but we all trusted Brian, the Alpha of our pack. He was s good Alpha and not driven by power. We all look up to him and so does he as he would always look out for us. I can't speak for the relations of all packs in this place but back in the forest- The way you stared at me in amusement like it would be first time hearing me spit these words out of my mouth and it was no different from the looks of my sister. That's funny right, I know, you don't have to tell me. What I meant by my words at first was the fact that back in the city, half of the wolves were droven by power. Wolves killing
Roy sat still like he was thrown into a muse by the story he had just heard from Isabella. He sighed and shook his head in silence and directed his sight back on her. He could not explain how he felt towards her story. He nodded his head and eventually spoke out. 'You did well, even for taking care of her like she was your daughter," He placed her hand on her shoulder and smiled at her. Isabella was about to thank him when they looked up in response to a sound they heard. The sound came from the door. Cara showed up as she had coughed. Though she didn't hear the whole story, she heard enough about Isabella not being Mara's mother. Isabella was shocked, she took her eyes off Cara and directed them towards Roy as she was scared that Cara might eventually break the news out to Mara and that was the main thing she feared the most. Roy wagged his head as a sign of relief but she does not seem to agree with him since she did not really know Cara. She had no idea that Cara was Roy's mate, a
The birds chirped and sang melodiously as they flew above Roy and his men and around the trees of the forest. The tall grasses also tilted their leaves sideways. The sun lurked around the clouds and shone brighter on the pack as they all sighted if from afar where they all stood. Cara was on a horse right beside Roy as they were both in front of the whole crew while Kyle and Nathan including Isabella and Abel rode behind him. Roy sighed and turned his head to face the crowd. He looked around and ushered everyone to get to the pack as they would be anticipating their coming already. They all cheered and chanted Roy's name at the sound of that. Roy soon tapped his horse and made some noise and at that moment, his horse never hesitate to advanced forward and ran though not that fast but fast enough to get him to his pack real quick. As they approached the gate of the Blackpool pack, it happened the way Roy had explained it. They all have been waiting for him. Even Mara stood at the gate
"Clear the path... make room for her right away," Roy screamed out and yelled at the guards as they stood in his path ahead of him. He walked in haste and ran inside the pack through the main gate. The guards moved away and called out to others beforehand to make way for Roy as no one must stand in his way to delay him as Roy might unleash his wrath on them. He walked hurriedly, panting and breathing heavily as he carried Cara on his shoulder. His face looked a little bit sweaty and his tone was frenzy. Though it was not because he had run or was in haste but the fear of having no glimpse of what had caused Cara to fall and drifted into unconsciousness incited his unsteadiness. At the time Cara fell, he questioned Vivian as she was the only one who could have a glimpse of what the problem might be but she herself could not give Roy an answer as it happened all of a sudden and she had never seen such a sight before nor experienced something as such. Vivian and Laurel, including Priya
Roy sat on a chair close to where Cara was laid and stared at her closely. He held her hands and rubbed the back of her hand l. He soon brought it closer to his mouth and kissed her such that it made a loud sharp sound. Though Vivian had told him to let her be so she would have to catch some sleep as she needed it but Roy lost his patient and could no longer wait for her to wake up. He had to leave the presence of Vivian and the rest of the pack that sat together at the room where they have always had their meetings. To him, it was better to remain by her side and keep watch over her than to sit with the rest of the pack and await her revival. He smiled and placed his hands on her belly. He gulped feeling a sense of accomplishment. "Either you're a boy or a girl... you'll always be my child," He said and kissed her on her belly. He turned his head towards the direction of the door as it felt like he sensed someone, watching over him. He sighed when he spotted Vivian who stood at the

Cara stood right in the middle of the forest. She turned around on a spot to notice her surroundings and all that surrounded her. All she could see were trees and tall branches of leaves. She looked up and could see it was the full moon as it appeared in the clouds and shone its light all over the forest. "Full moon... I should be in my pack by now," She said. "This is the time the trial would take place," She muttered and exhaled sharply. She sighed as she had no idea how she had gotten there. She raised her head and looked up only to sight the Blackpool pack which was only a few distance away from where she was. She pondered what could have been the problem and how she had gotten so far away from her pack. She took a step forward only to notice that she had stepped on something hard as she was not wearing a protective shoe and was barefooted, it was easy for her to notice that. She directed her sight on the ground and sighted a wolf she had just stepped on. She shivered and took a f
Roy gulped down his gullet and held on to Cara's hands. She shivered and shook her head. She herself could not let go of Roy's hands. Roy was yet to have a glimpse of what she had just said as he just heard shocking news of what was bound to happen if they were not careful enough to observe all necessary events that could help them avoid the incident from taking place. "What do you mean, Cara," Roy said and lost the hold of Cara on his hands. He placed it around her forehead to feel her temperature. She was hot and her face looked sweaty. Roy knew it was not her usual self. On normal days, Cara's body was mostly cold and sometimes warm but seeing the way she was restless, that might have caused it. Cara shook her head swiftly in an attempt to get Roy to leave her. Roy soon restrained his hand from her forehead and tried to get her to talk slowly as he did not get her words too well being that she spoke speedily."Cara, Cara... look at me, what happened," He questioned and held her by
