Cara's POVIt looks so real, it seems like it happened already. Those men that attacked me, their faces, I haven't seen them before not even when I went for the tour that every Luna must go for. They look strong, fearless and confident. I don't think they're from this place. Probably from the city but if that was so... isn't that something I should be scared of since I had not a slight glimpse of how strong those in the city were... Their abilities, probably it matches with Roy's own.I looked at Roy and could tell he was all confused by the way he walked back and forth from one end of the room to another end. It now seems like fate is at work... Should I believe that or not. It's slightly different or maybe not. There's a great difference as what I experienced when I was young would be totally different from what my unborn child is bound to face. Why should this happen to her at such a young age. It doesn't feel right for a young girl like her. I experienced the same thing and now my
Priya got to the room where Abel was kept in but could not see him around. He called out his name but got no response. All she could hear was her own voice retorting back as the echo was much higher than expected. She walked out of the room in haste to inform Roy about what she had seen. As she walked, all her thought was directed to Abel as she recollected the memories of how the shadow was when she opened the door and tried to compare it with Abel's. She halted and shook her head as she could not get the shape of Abel's shadow but remembered the shadow she had seen. She soon jumped into the conclusion that it must be Abel's as she was unable to confirm whether it was him or maybe not. She hurried away, walking gallantly across the path of the residence in an attempt to get back to Roy and inform him about the unknown whereabouts of Abel and probably disclose to him his guesses. She was about to get to the doorstep of the room when she felt a gentle touch on her shoulder. She growle
Abel knelt right in front of Roy while Roy stared at him and pressed on with his gaze. He grinned and walked slowly towards his way. Abel shrugged and fidgeted when he spotted Roy's shadow, walked up to him. Roy chuckled when he noticed the look on his face. He read it as fear and thereby questioned him. "Why are you scared since you're not found guilty... There's no cause for alarm," He sighed. "Do you have other plans in mind... you're a hunter, wolf hunter... You could betray us any moment," Roy said with his eyes fixed on him. Abel could not bring himself nor muster the courage to even glance at him. He bowed his head such that it was almost touching the ground through the course of Roy's speech. "Do you know the reason why I kept you alive and haven't gotten rid of you yet," He asked. Abel raised up his head slowly in response to Roy's question. He peeked at him but looked away shortly after that. He wagged his head to and fro with a quick jerky motion that served as a gesture a
Abel's POVI had always in the city with my parents. They all wished me well and wanted me to live a different life. They sent me to school and I attended the school with all diligence. I don't think you all know what it means to go to school... since the place could not be compared with what you could gain by living in the city. All you learn here is growing to be strong... It's good though, I'm starting to like it here. Judging by your looks, I guess you're tired of my jokes. But I have to continue anyways. As I grow older, not old enough to wash my clothes though but I was old enough to question the things I noticed happened around me, amongst my parents. I would always catch them late at night, reading books, lots of books that I myself would wonder why they had always done that and whenever I decided to ask them what was going on, they would tell me it was nothing to worry about and I should not get myself involved again and all I have to do was to focus on what I was being taugh
"What's going on... what's happening to him," Roy said aloud with a frenzy tone. He got up immediately from his chair and rushed to the spot where Abel had fallen. He held him and placed his hand round his back and slightly raised him up so his head would be close to his. He drew his head closer and placed two of his fingers around his nose to feel his breath. "His breathing is faint... He's dying," Roy said and turned to notice Vivian. Vivian gulped and walked hastily to help Roy out. "Nathan... Kyle... help him up and lay him down slowly on his back," "Why is he all sweaty... This can only happen from a deep wound," Roy muttered and said with all confidence. "But he does not have any wounds... how can you be so sure," Vivian debated and questioned as she tried to figure out why Abel had lost consciousness of himself.Nathan voiced out and supported Roy's claims on what might be wrong with Abel. He did that because of his past experiences as a guard who had always worked with his
"Laurel... Laurel," Vivian said in a loud tone, moved away from Abel and rushed to Laurel. She cried out and shook her body whether it might help wake her up. "Help me with some water, Priya," She said in a frenzy tone. Her voice was so sharp to the extent that Priya was startled by the sound of her voice. She got immediately and was about to take her leave to bring that which Vivian had sent her but stopped when she heard a loud bang on the door. The pillars of the door were shaken. It seemed like a great force was trying to pull it down from the other side. Priya shivered and whispered the name of Vivian in an attempt to get her attention and probably see what was happening right in front of her but Vivian was already lost at the moment as she was focused on how to save Laurel. At that moment, Priya had some thoughts, probably it has already begun... That which had been stated and was bound to happen. She turned immediately and was about to walk back to get Vivian's attention but s
Vivian sat by Laurel's side as she was fast asleep on the mattress on which she laid on. So did Cara also, as she rubbed off the sweat that dripped down her face with the back of her hand. They both took a brief look at each other and looked away as they directed their focus back on Laurel. Abel also, was fast asleep on a mattress that was only a few distance away from where Laurel was laid. Vivian had her thoughts about how she lost Laurel in the first place and that was around the time she was very young or rather, thought she'd lost her. Though it wasn't her fault that she lost Laurel when she was young and even when she lost her, she searched for her for months but eventually gave up and held on to the thought that she was dead but yet being her mother, she failed to protect her and the thought of it repeating itself flashed her mind. The scenery of that time was no different from what might become of Laurel if Roy had not done something. She would have lost herself too or probabl
Abel's POVI have to thank you a lot Roy for letting me live. This was the first time I was going to feel like I was dying. I don't know what would have happened if you had not done anything... With the look on your face, I don't think that matters right now... but yet I thank you also Laurel, for helping me out... I heard about what you did... I know I tried to hurt Cara but I had my reasons. I freaked out probably because I was overwhelmed with fear... Fear of what might happen if the child was to live. I started to understand after I was taken to the camp by my Father. The camp which the man that came to our house had ordered my Father to take me to. Though it was a long debate between my Father and my Mother. My mother made some claims that made my Father all confused. He was out of options as he walked back and forth in the room. "You promised not to get our son involved," I mused and watched both of them as they won't stop yelling at each other. As a young kid, there was nothin
